- Blue Sedan 808MFX is 1996 525TDS and test drive can't be done because of broken front springs.
Blue Touring 778TKG is 1999 530D.

From 520d to 530d all BMW e39 diesel are solid like a rock. One of the best sedan ever made.
2.0D is not good, its having injection pump electronic problems
BMW E39 the best car ever! I have one. 2002 530d vith manual. 426k km. And she works perfectly 😋

It's sad to see how most of these E39 end...mostly crashed, rusted and as parts cars.
Mostly owned by people who don't give them love they deserve!
It was great to hear those engines run so good.
Here in Finland mostly only young people buy old BMW's. Well mostly it is a young guy what you can see driving those. They like to drift on snow. And they have big wheels and "stupid" lowered suspension. That is not what BMW was made for.

Nah, PSA XUD series are by far the best diesels, 300,000 miles is easy for those.

Yes I have a bmw e39 525i touring and it never has problems. Not even the front headlights.
these cars need a nice restoration, they are still beautiful and current. and then they have phenomenal engines, the first one started with only half a starting turn. flexiny will you bring a series of videos about a restoration of one of these machines?
It's imposible.They are full of rust.

whats there to restore? not that special.
Actually the one who started with half a turn, only would require half a day of polishing the body and desifecting the interior and cleaning it. And replacing rear hatch. Sedan also has a possibility to be restored quit quickly, but that wagon on those ugly tiny 5spoke wheels is definitely not worth it

They cost alot more than diesels. And sadly I don't have any v8.

E39 540i's are incredibly rare, rough nick are even hard to find and cost a lot

My car, a BMW E39 525tds stayed in the parking lot for 5 years. It started at the first engine rotation with a 55Ah battery.
Are you sure just 55 Ah battery? That is too powerless battery on wintertime.
@@temelon Yes, I'm sure it was 55Ah. I went to see it with a 1300cc Opel Astra and I used its battery to launch BMW.
