This is one of those "take a break from the game" moments. Playing more and more tilted will make you play worse, make more mistakes. I've definitely had nights where I was 1 bad game away from uninstalling and becoming the Joker.

Ngl, I've actually uninstalled OW2 more times than I even *considered* uninstalling OW1. OW2 tilts me more than OW1 ever did and I honestly don't know why. I hate this game but I can't help but keep coming back to it because I also love it so much.

for me, the game just gets boring, repetitive, and annoying. i've only ever had fun playing w friends, but they moved onto other games already. im scared of playing ranked, so instead i spend hours grinding on qp

As a Lucio player I can confirm, good vortexes are SUPER annoying.
Im the tank thats being spectated and I just want to clear up that Im aware that I play bad this game, I purposefully picked a game were I made the most mistakes because they were all things that happen when Im on a lose streak and dont feel like playing anymore (Just so people know that I know Im the one who was the issue in this game) Im very thankful for all the crticism its really helping me better my gameplay. I think its totally spot on that Im too patient with my vortex, I always hold onto it waiting for a certain moment but now I realize that I may be holding onto it for too long and miss many opportunities because Im too scared of a missplay or cooldown waste. Ill try to be more aware of my cooldowns and maybe not spam when Im panicking (lol). I will also try to play more with my team because I have serious trust issues. Oh and because I noticed a comment mentioning me jumping in after the lw pull, I was for some reason stuck in another match were the cart was pushed to first point and I thought I had to touch (dont ask me why I honestly dont know I just think my brain was a little fried) Anyways, I thank emongg for the honest review and encourage the comments to roast me as hard as they can and point out my mistakes so i can keep working on them.
I noticed at some times you used block when you should have been more aggressive. Even if you have to go to spawn take them down with you to make space for your teammates rather than being just a punching bag

We see it, but i cope by not opening OW for a while after a 3-5 game losing streak, and going to something like Paladins or Borderlands. Something that I can let loose the rage in my chest with. Who knew that screams of the dying and damned can be so therapeutic?
I like a lot of the things you're doing in this game! I think it's generally good to start out tentative as a tank and slowly become more aggressive as you get more confident identifying opportunities to be aggressive.
note: I'm a support player, not a tank player, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm a silver 1/gold 5 tank when I do get the courage to play ranked tank lol
something I've noticed is that you are hesitant to get close to the enemies while in nemesis form. I know you said you're used to getting shredded - the Tank Experience ™️ - but I DO think there is a difference between getting closer to the enemies and putting yourself into a position where you'll get shredded. I highly recommend messing around in the training range and seeing Ramattra's punch range. there's a stationary bot to the right of the two bots who are getting shot. get right in front of it, punch, and keep punching as you back up to see the range. I think that will help a lot because it has helped me a lot with the heroes I play!
also, when LW pulled you when the enemies had almost capped first point, it was a good pull and I think it would have been beneficial to stay up there. your team wasn't going to be able to win that fight and if you stay up there and let them cap, you're now in a very good position to start holding second point. I know you wanted to contest and burn down the clock, but you were so low and you contesting didn't achieve much. I think the benefit of letting them cap and setting up for second outweighs any benefit of the couple of seconds you contested. it's okay if they cap first point, after all! you don't need to full hold in order to win. sometimes it's important to know when to give up so you can get ready for the next objective.

btw, at 16:56 is a great learning moment. something that you can work on to help you get better at knowing when you should contest vs times when it's okay to give up the point.
the question is: if I take this fight to try to contest, do I have the resources to last long enough to accomplish something meaningful?
this isn't the same question as "will I win this fight?" because sometimes you should contest even though you will lose.
this is a question of resources. what is a resource? teammates are resources. how many teammates are with you?
cool downs are resources - how many do you have ready? which ones? which ones are still on cooldown?
your hp is a resource! how much do you have, do you have supports with you, and if so, which supports? what you can get done and how long you can last and how you need to play as a tank while contesting is going to be different when you only have Lucio with you vs only Ana, for example.
this was a situation where you needed to contest and you should have contested because you had so many resources. this is different than when you contested first point! on first point, you were already at very low hp and didn't have time to wait to get healed if you were going to contest, i.e., you didn't have the resources that would make contesting worth it. however, here, you did.
hopefully thinking about it like this helps, or hopefully it helps you figure out a more helpful way for you to think about it!

ANOTHER Circuit Royal?! I just got done watching the Ana Circuit Royal on the main channel lol. So many Circuit Royal vods is truly a testament to how bad this map feels to play.

As a Sigma enjoyer I LOVE circuit royal, but I understand the sentiment
It's funny watching this because as a supp player, Vortex and Pig pen annoy me SOOOOOOOO bad!!! Seeing a tank not use them effeciently, I would LOVE to play against this guy lol!
Something they can really focus a lot on with Ram, is to shield between the enemy tank and their supports, rather than in front of the tank.
If you just shield in front of the enemy tank, you'll rarely be able to put meaningful pressure on them, and your shield placement will define how far you can walk yourself before you get exposed to enemy pressure.
By placing the shield behind the enemy tank, it cuts off their heals and any supportive fire from dps that may be behind them, it means you can be more liberal with pushing into the enemy tank too, because you won't exceed your own shield placement regardless, so it's only really the pressure from that one enemy tank you (and your supports) have to deal with, which is very manageable.
It also has the added benefit that your shield is less likely to break early, because the enemy tank won't be throwing damage into it during the entire frontline battle.
Just something to consider. There was an opportunity for it in every single fight during this match, and it can often be a tool that swings the momentum greatly in your favor if you act on it decisively at times where you do have the resources to actually push the enemy tank and go for space (or elim on them if they refuse to back down).
vortex is the killer of alot of supports because they rely on their movement and small hitboxes (mostly) to survive. I've been sent back to spawn many times because i accidently dipped my tow into the vortex and slowed down to an easy to shoot crawl (at least it feels that way lol)

Circuit Royal HAS to be one of the most played maps for Spectating at this point.
6:20 in, few points:
-Plays payload princess when there's already someone pushing cart. Go and take space!
-Uses shield too close.
-Uses nemesis too far away.
-Doesn't use vortex often.

Anyone else get the problem of queuing "all roles" to do the weekly and just get 20 games in a row as tank (Not 10 because of losing) or do I have *REALLY* bad rng?
Flex is another word for tank only
Its the same with qp. One day will be All support with little dps, the next its ALL tank or heals with little dps. Dps ques for bronze is like 4 minutes once the late afternoon hits so
I'm just happy when the game doesn't throw me in backfill. Boy do I love wasting my time on a unbalanced losing match.

I find all roles means support, support and more support. Only time it changes is in qp and then it's 7/10 support, 2/10 tank(often with 30 seconds to go so good luck doing anything) and rare while 1/10 I get dps, often same as the tank with almost no time left since I replaced a leaver lol. Even more rare I get a start of a game as tank or dps.
it always confused me why people were saying vortex needed to be buffed to hit the skybox. first, ram would NEVER use it to do that, that requires waaaay too much prep to work out. you would have to look in the sky for your target, watch which direction they are flying, then look at the ground where you THINK they will be and pray you got them.
vortex will always just be better off used to slow down targets to beat them up with nemesis, or to make it easier to hit your primary with mage form.
vortex is a great ability. ESPECIALLY now that it no longer bumps into enemies.
I mean its more of preventing people from flying away and escaping, or as an anti-flying zoning tool than it is to make people fall from the sky. Sometimes I just use it at an area and use the sound queue to tell if someone is there. This is on top of your stated usage of slowing enemies to close in/finish em, or make my doritos hit the enemies more often.

Before I learned to play with Ramatra i feel like I would just fall over instantly.
This Ramatra is being too aggro with his nemesis form. As Ramatra you wanna make sure you're getting that poke damage with the Doritos. (It's not as good since the health pool changes) but get comfortable with Doritos as a damage tool.
This is your default form. Save your Nemesis form from when the enemy pushes in or as a a "2nd life" button. This is a huge source of sustain as Ram. You can see how many times they used Nemesis form with full HP. But they were out of range of their pummel.
They could be using their shield better. Play corners as Ramatra and it's okay to take a little damage. Save your shield for when you have no cover or in front of space you want to take.
whenever me and homie are facing zarya, we just shred her bubble and kill her bec she can't do anything without it, she'll get damage buffed yes, but only for a few seconds before she gets beamed, just focus bubbles and shred her
The tank characters are so cool, but the role is so tough to play 😢
After ventures released I tried to play and I just couldn't have fun so I haven't played it in a month or more

Idk how people get to this point. Been playing ow since 2017. I understand it used to be dead, was my absolute favorite game. I understand it was and can be bad and theres lots of bugs or just annoying metas and stuff, i absolutely still love and loved the game. If i have like a 2 losing streak comp run or something i end it, i just get off. Like lmao i dont understand people who can go like 1W-6L like dude u just gotta go play another game or get off atp lol. Quick play or hell even arcade is a nice substitute to get ur game time on, or i quite enjoy open queue comp, its just so silly and it entertains me. I even played competitive mysteru heroes when it was out, definitely didnt disappoint me unlike actual role queue comp does sometimes lol
13:59 BROOOO LOOK AT YOUR HP!!! I get that your feeing burnt out, but i didn't think we'd see some bronze level rookie mistake as per diving back into a fight that you got saved from, with one of the supports gone! Against enemies in front AND behind, to boot.

I think that's just an issue with your team being bad those characters can be annoying but they shouldn't be rolling your team unless your team just sucks

I agree on the sombras. For me besides her, a good tracer, symmetra and rarely Mei or torb are also frustrating to play against.
@ianchambers37 well that's already like half the dps lol, but I tried to break it down to mainly the biggest problem makers in the game: bastion and sombra easily make this game an uninstallable experience
Tank main life is cruel compared to any role in this game. I won't ever play this game seriously anymore now just vibing and still not having fun.
The biggest thing I learned was to go sigma on this map. Unless the other teams tank goes sigma in which case I should go ram or rein to force them to swap, then go sigma myself.
And this is the problem. Not once did you say anything about playing any differently - it’s just about counterswapping, because it’s much much more value than actually playing better lol. You’d have to work 3 times harder for the same value

Oh you can tell from the very start of the match this is a low rank player with little mechanical skill. People should learn how to move their characters before they start playing comp and asking for advice.
Are you 🤡? or the whole 🎪? Because child I doubt you are higher than diamond. You are probably plat that peak, and you are mad. Because that some petty out pocket shit some 🧂 would say.
Why even bother with ranked anymore? The hacking and smurfing is out of control since they made removed the phone number requirements. you can steadily win 2 of every three matches and still drop down in rank because the amount of progress you lose for one loss is ridiculously higher than the amount you gain for a win. Frankly I am just done with playing anything other than QP for fun with friends.
Anyone know any other TH-camrs who viewer review games like this? I have submitted to enough a few times now with gameplay that I really think I could get help from commentary on but I never get chosen :( my username for the latest sub was mauvegnoll, but I’d honestly submit my videos to any TH-cam at this point lol
