30:38 you recognized the voices because they have multiple openings for one piece. They are TVXQ, one of the most famous K-pop bands of their time. They were also so big in Japan, that's why they have multiple songs for one piece anime.
To answer the question around 4:10 into the video: One Piece is _one single long story._ The original manga started in 1997 and the anime adaptation in 1999, and both are still ongoing. The story is split into distinct arcs (generally partitioned based on the islands the main cast visit), but those arcs do form one cohesive story. The openings don't line up with the arcs conveniently, as you can have either multiple arcs covered by one opening (the first opening covers 5 arcs), or you can have multiple openings for one arc (the lastest complete arc has 4 openings for its almost 200 episodes). Also for this reason, the earlier openings (whcih often do the multiple arcs in one thing as the earlier ones are shorter) often don't really have much to do with the actual in-story events. You start seeing more actual events from #5 onwards.
if your going to watch one piece then don’t be stressed because of how long it is, take your time watching it and enjoy it, avoid spoilers and once you watch one piece you realise that the story is too short, that’s how good the story is
One Piece is one of those shows that can answer 'yes' to pretty much every 'does it have ....?' question in existence, regardless of what you fill in the dots. It is a modern-day epic. In many ways, you could think of it as a cross-breed between Lord of the Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean, Scooby Doo and so much more, because it is just that all-encompassing. It is funny comedy. It is epic. It is filled with emotional blackmail. It has grandiose battles. It has casual banter. But beyond that, it has one large cohesive story that's been going on for over 25 years at this point, and it is only after hundreds of episodes that you start to get a full idea of the ambition, scale and patience this author has had while telling the story. I won't ever say that One Piece is an easy anime to get into, for it starts out very basic. Yet as many of the people who have watched the first season of the live action have found out, even that can be damn murderous on the emotions of the unprepared when its prologue is condensed to the bare essentials. If the entire show is too slow a slog or too hard to get into, check the live action to get an idea of things. 🙂
Bro watch it. This show literally change my outlook in life. It may sound far-fetched but it did. I watch this show growing up. And it's the best thing ever.
The pondering at 26:40; The line in the song is just "sagashimono sagashi ni yuku no sa" - something along the lines of "searching for our desires". On a related note, quite a lot of One Piece characters have non-Japanese names (though plenty also do have japanese ones).
As of today there is over 1061 English episodes and 1094 Japanese episodes, the show has been running 25 years, those large sea creatures are called sea kings and some of the human heights are stupid there’s a human character 29ft/ 8.8m tall. The world one piece is set in is 7X bigger than earth. It’s a brilliant show and we’ll worth the watch.
3:01 "Now we finding Dragons" -Dragon proceeds to appear. In like half year from now you'll get how that was fun xD (If you start the show like this month or next)
Simple Summary: The story is about the race to become the King of Pirates by claiming the previous Pirate King's treasure (One Piece) that he left somewhere. The guy in the strawhat is Monkey D. Luffy he ate something called a Devil fruit called the gum gum fruit and became a rubber man that can stretch and expand.
The sephiroth-sama thing here is just the Internet handle of whoever made sure the subtitles were in the right place at the right time. Tho I wouldn't be surprised if they named themselves after the Final fantasy character.
one piece is an anime that tackles modern, real life issues like slavery, discrimination, shady secret society controlling everything, etc etc and yes! its about PIRATES !! in my opinion, the story line of this anime is a MASTERPIECE !! ever wonder how an anime is still on the top of the chart after 25+ years and over 1000 episodes? ...
One Piece is great, and I adore blind reactions to the openings(including the visuals). Its the 2nd best selling comic of all time, and it has over a 1000 episodes with an ongoing storyline. Hope you will do the rest of the openings soon(there is currently 26 of them). Edit: just correcting some of my spelling mistakes 😅
First of all: loved! One Piece fans always enjoy new viewers! Second: The opennings are longer from now until op24 - don't know if you notice by op11 and op12. The songs are longer because they stopped doing ending songs for many years. So they put the extra time on the openings. If I may make a suggestion: watch less openings if you're continuing this openings journey. The songs keep getting better. So does the animation. It's a lot to take in and react. Third: About the story and the world building, One Piece is completely diferente from other animes. Once again, if I may make a suggestion: watch The Appeal of One Piece: Where to Start by Super Eyepatch Wolf. The video is old (6y) and the data is outdated. But gives you a good perspective so you can decide if you want to start watching/reacting Most important: If you decide to start the watching/reacting journey but sure the One Piece fan community will be here with you. Eager for your reactions and NOT spoiling anything!
On the opening where you thought you know the singers it was the K-pop group TVXQ, They sang one of the versions of "We Are" as well!!! So you was right that you knew the sounds of their voices!!!!
Just in case you haven’t recorded the next part yet, Opening 26 was just released last week and might not be included in whatever playlist you were watching
@@infin8reactionsits "opening" 26 not episode 😭 openings are like intro's to episodes so in one piece you got like 1 opening every 30 episodes which is usually about a specific place they visit. Opening 26 corelates to episode 1093 (every episode is around 25 minutes)
I've watched Naruto, Bleach and One Piece (in that particular order), I love them all but One Piece takes the cake for my overall enjoyment. It's just a really feel-good show (at most times) but it's never really childish/immature in it's messaging and themes.
Lmao this reaction had me chuckling the entire way through 😂 you're one cheeky fella. I think you'd quite like the series, and by going in as blind as you are it will take you even more by surprise than you might've thought otherwise!
I was watching this while crocheting and when he went "Sephiroth" (10:04), I flinched so hard with a shouted "HUH?". Then I lost it. I also lost my counting on the stitches, but that laugh was worth it.
It seems like the playlist you watched skipped the actual 7th opening, which is a rendition of the first opening (We Are) that has the main voice cast singing it.
The song you did the reaction for is from the live action show (I haven't had a chance to watch the reaction, but you might have realized that at some point) I've still yet to watch the animated but I know the live action is fantastic. 8 episodes on Netflix and from what I've read, the creator was so inspired by the live action that he's chosen to redo his anime.
If you are considering the journey that is Onepiece. DO IT! I know it’s long but it’s worth every episode. It’s the same story the whole 1100+ episodes. It’s the best story ever told. Watch it and you will agree.
If you want other openings suggestions, i recommend the Attack On Titan openings, and the ending songs as well.the Vinland Saga openings and endings are also incredible.
If you're becoming more and more interested and invested in One Piece through these openings then I would also recommend reacting to "The Breath Taking World of One Piece". It's a short and spoiler free video that shows you just how beautiful the world of One Piece really is. I really do recommend watching this video!
One Piece is like a long running story, which has almost reached the status of an epic now, like the Illiad or the Odessey. A lot of people consider it to be the greatest story ever told. Openings 10 and 11 are performed by a KPOP band!! It's TVXQ

For the crew's names. First, in Japan, and in this, they say last names first. Like, the captain with the straw hat is Monkey D. Luffy(pronounced loo-fee). So, Luffy is his actual name, and Monkey is his family name. Crew's names: 1. Monkey D. Luffy(straw hat) 2. Roronoa Zoro(tri-sword with green hair) 3. Nami(orange haired girl) 4. Usopp(pronounced Oo-sop. Long-nose) 5. Sanji(blond swirly eyebrow smoker) 6. Chopper(little reindeer guy) 7. Nico Robin(Black haired girl) 8. Cutty "Franky" Flam(big armed metal nose. Goes by his nickname of Franky) 9. Brook(Skeleton) 10. Jimbei(sumo like blue fishman) ....though with how the story is going in the anime, I would NOT be surprised if Jewelry Bonney(pink hair that fed on the pizza) joined by the end of the current arc. Would NOT surprise me, though neither is that confirmed.
I doubt she will, she has her own crew doesn't she why would she drop them to join Luffy's plus Luffy said he wanted 10 men aka crew members & if you include Luffy there's already 10
Oda specifically stated luffy not included in the 10. There's still one more. Furthermore, Gyogyo and the others is somewhat implied to be a temporary makeshift crew so that Bonney can be a pirate. We also haven't seen them in present day since before the timeskip. I wouldn't be surprised if they are still captured be the marines since that's where we last saw them. Lastly your logic of "why would she drop them for luffy" doesn't have any weight. Several of our crewmates already disproves this notion. I'm not going to state Bonney is going to 100% join, but I am going to debunk your points just because of how easy it is to find flaws with widely circulating information.

@@infin8reactions I would say yes..because this will set you into the right mood for it, and this series is so long, you need some context, but not just to much ;)
Actually, Luffy's EVERYTHING is elastic. EVEN HIS JUNK! The author said so himself when a fan asked. He just prefers punching to other forms of attack.
Love me a bit of OP (and turn based JRPGS)! I remember seeing the odd BTS reaction from you - did you ever listen to TVXQ? Might be why you recognised the voices in that one opening (pretty sure they did the opening before too). They're KPOP but they were singing in Japanese. Really looking forward to 13-25 (there are more I think actually but haven't caught up)! Oh and on JRPGs, you watch enough anime and you see the links. Berserk and FF7 share a sad guy with a big sword, a long haired enemy guy who becomes evil because of some supernatural force (even though Berserk is much older and morbid). I know Hunter x Hunter (my favourite anime) has a mangaka who is obsessed with the Dragon Quest series. And yes Luffy (kid with hat and stretchy arm) is the protag in One Piece :) and sephiroth-sama was the name of the fan translator haha, not a reference to FF7
Naruto plot is almost closer to Death Note than One Piece, being all about "I know you know, that's why I'm behind you and I won" because the ninja plot requires the illusion of infiltration one piece is unabashadley face value for the most part
Oh, and I noticed you skipped an opening. I'm guessing you skipped it because it seemed like an identical to the first opening one? That was actually an opening, altered by... having the pirate crew singing the theme song. Though, understandable why you skipped it. Just pointing that out. Oh, and if you're starting, you might like to watch The Appeal of One Piece and The Breathtaking World of One Piece videos. Both are very good.
Netflix is remaking the One Piece anime from the beginning of the series. They'll remove a lot of the unnecessary filler and it'll have better animation. So if you intend to watch it I'd wait for that
Hey welcome aboard to the fandom. 😁👒 I just heard that this might be the perfect time to start watching One Piece. We're on the final stretch of the anime and manga supposedly so we appreciate you joining us on the adventure.
Unlike most anime, One Piece keeps the same plot throughout: The pursuit of finding the One Piece. But that pursuit is long and not so simple, with each arc typically being the islands found along the journey. And the story and quality grows as the series goes on, which says a lot about the current arc, since it's been going for over 20 years. As it is, this lengthy anime is split into Sagas, and those Sagas are in turn split into arcs that typically cover the islands involved on the way. Right now, the anime just started what's been reported by the author to be the final Saga. No idea how many arcs it'll be.
What do you mean by "most anime"? Actually most anime follow the continous story from 1st episode to the last one. It's the western cartoons that really do this.
That's no where near true. Most anime are split into seasons, each with their own story arc. Their own villains, their own obstacles. It's rare for the same objective to remain throughout. Typically, the objective changes along the way.@@HaohmaruHL
@@joshuana5132 No, you're talking separate story arcs happening within the main story which always keeps lurking in the background, which is also the case with one piece as well. With most anime you can't just pick any episode randomly out of any season and start watching it hoping to understand what's going on like you can with 90% of western cartoons. Unless of course it's an episodic anime by design like a gag comedy series, a children's anime series or a sitcom. Manga/anime has always been "start at chapter 1 or episode 1 to understand what's going on" type of media. I've been consuming it since early 80s and not much has changed.
@@HaohmaruHL No, op is right. Tipically, most animes divide in seasons nowadays; old animes were much longer before like Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Fairy Tail, etc; but it's not really the case now. Animes tend to have seasons of 12 or 24 episodes where each season has its own incident and its own resolution, even if there are consequences for future seasons. See, One Piece isn't the case. One Piece is a continious line of events in which ALL incidents are difficultes that Luffy has to overpass to get to ONE resolution/goal: finding the One Piece and becoming King of the Pirates. Also, every single One Piece episodes picks up from where the last one ended, with the only exception of the time skip; which usually doesn't happen on shows that are divided by seasons. Since One Piece it's always the same journey on the same line, you can even trace their journey on a map.

....though with how the story is going in the anime, I would NOT be surprised if Jewelry Bonney(pink hair that fed on the pizza) joined by the end of the current arc.
As I said, it's not confirmed. I could honestly see it go either way, frankly. Time will tell. @@vigenere-key-montello
I wish I could've experienced the story of One Piece as spoiler free as you are right now. Hands down my favorite piece of fiction.
I literally got spoiled so much that I know stuff from Wano when I only watched until Marineford. Lots of the fans sure are notorious for spoiling.
Ill be googling the most innocent question and casually be spoiled for half the series 😭@@skye387
You might like to check out the amazing AMV videos called "The Breathtaking World of One Piece" + "One Piece The Greatest Story ever told" ...
Overhaul: The world is corrupted and controled by the Marine and a World Goverment. There are tons of peole, races, animals with there own motivation, religion and believes. Luffy has a dream.. to become King of the Pirates.. and he wants at least 10 members for his crew.. and over the last 25 years this anime has been in making..he finally has these people.. amazing friends.. and their actions changes are changing the world.
Should I check that out before watching the series?
@@infin8reactions I would say yes..because this will set you into the right mood for it, and this series is so long, you need some context, but not just to much ;)
Actually, Luffy's EVERYTHING is elastic. EVEN HIS JUNK! The author said so himself when a fan asked. He just prefers punching to other forms of attack.
Its more Luffy is just too dumb to know how to use a sword, he even says so himself on multiple occasions lol
@@juicyskittle6020 I meant that Luffy prefers using punches over kicks most of the time. Sanji kicks, Zoro slices, and Luffy punches.
Jujutsu kaisen opening are very good you should react to them there’s 4 of them
I hope you've reacted to the full quality video because here it looks that you're watching it at 360p or something
Next is op 13-26 let's gooooo ;DDD
Reacts to 'You lost me' by Christina Aguilera.
Luffy is made of rubber, that's why he streches lol
Amazing
you just before the best ones
Hey 👋. I think youd really enjoy watching one piece. You should give it a go
"pop punk" is an oxymoron, a misnomer if it existed
Naruto plot is almost closer to Death Note than One Piece, being all about "I know you know, that's why I'm behind you and I won" because the ninja plot requires the illusion of infiltration
one piece is unabashadley face value for the most part
One piece is a continuous story and the different openings are for the different seasons
You gotta check out the fairy tail openings and endings 😍😍😍 they are bangers
Nice, next opening one piece 13-26
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The story has some humor but can get serious in parts.
Would you mind reacting to the demon slayer openings?
Please Reaction Black Clover Opening 🔥🔥
Going down the One Piece rabbit hole , I see.
Each season in this anime deals with individual islands or countries where the plot of that season takes place
I love reactors not realizing One Piece is a shonen until OP 5

No, you're talking separate story arcs happening within the main story which always keeps lurking in the background, which is also the case with one piece as well.
Amazing, react op fairy tail
One story; Instead of "seasons" it's arcs.
