- "Always"
What were you thinking
I got a right to ask
Is there a reason
Other than your past
A great pretender
Why was I the last to see
Through your SKIN
Is there a chance you'll ever change
It's always the same
You're always to blame
Is there any way around this
I can't see
You walked out on her
You planned to be free
I'm trying not to point the finger
But it's killing me
What were you thinking
Were you thinking of me
Did you see what they wrote
On the family tree
I know it's over
All in the past
I need to forgive you?
If I'm to last - will I ever change
Take these pieces
Thrown away
Put them together from
Night 'n' day
Washed by the sun
Dried by the rain
To be my father
In the fatherless days - บันเทิง
Jody's solo is incredible.
C. Dawg: yes!!! Jody’s solo moves me like few guitar solos do. So tasteful and serves the song.
It sure is, so awesome
Please never take this down. As a new father and son of a selfish father, there is no more powerful song/video in my life. Thank you for sharing
Very rarely can I say a guitar solo “goes with the message” of a song. Jody is such a class act. Understated in body language but his playing says it all.
Best newsboys song. I wish these would get more radio time.
Song always gives me the feels. My dad divorced my mother when I was 10. Now 50, but the raw pain is always there. It gets easier, but I doubt it will ever go away.
C. Dawg, I so agree with you. Jody’s playing on this song is sublime. The entire song and arrangement in this live performance is so moving. I keep coming back to this performance time and time again. I am almost at a loss to describe why the song impact me so, but Jody’s playing is a large part of it. Rarely do we come across a guitarist who plays with such attention to the song. Jody’s playing all thru the song; from the beautiful beginning phrase that repeats to his soaring solo; wow! Love, love, love it!
He has and always will be my favorite guitarist! His live performances are just incredible! To me some of the best guitarists in Christian music are him, Stu G from Delirious, Bob Hartman from Petra, Tyler Burkum from Audio Adrenaline and Seth Morrison from Skillet.
Thank you Peter for that song, always saved my life, thank you
I'm not a very emotional guy but this song always gets me and this isn't even my experience. My parents have been married over 50 years and my wife and I for 27. It just hits me hard thinking about a little kid watching their Dad leave them. Very powerful.
Saw them on this tour and this will always be one of my favorite Newsboys songs. I only wish Jody’s solo was on the original album. So glad I was able to see this line up back in the nineties a few times, before every band had to start making worship music, because there was money in it. Sad, but I cannot listen to contemporary Christian music today.
Still one of the best solos I’ve heard.
I love the version on the record, but this one blows it out of the water
One of those songs where the live version is 100x better than the recording.
As a child of divorce I cried ❤❤
this song and especially the solo still gives me goosebumps to this day.
I don't fully understand this song, but I love it.
UNDERRATED SONG!
Always might not be one of their more noted songs, compared to others like Shine and Entertaining Angels, but the message behind it and their performance in this live version are excellent.
The one that comes to mind for me is Lost The Plot...it's so incredibly underrated, but one of my all time favorites. This one ranks up there too.
Amo "SEMPRE "....♡de arrepiar! !!
Oh gohs 🥺música linda!!!!🤲Love newboys💞
Jody solo is 🔥!!
Yes, God bless/ is the singer related to Peter Furler? Awesome song ! Awesome group!
Where may I download all this full concert?
That would be a tough one. This was part of the Step Up To The Microphone tour where this night was released on VHS. I don't think I've seen in available anywhere in nearly 20 years.
This probably the most song that has a drum part later in the song?
I agree as far as newsboys songs. But it sounds great doesn’t it? It really gives the song an anointing feel. Along with jodys solo and above all lyrics.
This is one of the best arrangements I’ve heard from the band. Lol my opinion of course
Dude, how did you upload this without UMG taking it down
