Lovebites is one the best bands in the world male or female. But yeah if you want to get into another Japanese all female metal band check out Bridear -- Daybreak which they just recently dropped.
Lovebites members: Asami-vocals Midori-guitar (blonde girl stage left) Miyako-guitar guitar (brunette girl stage right) Miho-bass guitar (founder and band leader) Haruna-drums (founder) The band formed at 2016. Asami writes most of the lyrics. Miyako is their main composer, she writes about half of the music. Miho is the other composer. They also collaborate with Mao, a keyboard player and songwriter (he was the keyboard player of Light Bringer, a progressive power metal band among a myriad other projects). Midori wrote 2 songs so far, Dancing with the Devil (from their latest full length album) and Glory to the World (from their latest EP, They just released a few days ago a videoclip of this song). The girls write their own solos and collaborate. Asami knew nothing about metal before joining the band, she has an R&B/soul/jazz background. The band chose the name Lovebites because one of the songs Asami sung at the tape they listened with her voice and her audition was love bites (so do I) from Halestorm. She performed the so with Halestorm on stage during a tour. Miho and Haruna are veteran metal musicians, they were members of the all-female metal band DESTROSE and months to about a year after the band disbanded, Miho approached Haruna and told her about her desire to start a metal band playing European style heavy-power-thrash metal and Haruna agreed. They hired Midori from the metal trio Gekkicho Metalliche and brought in as a guest guitarist Miyako, a guitarist playing with 21g and Drop of Joker. The4 of them agreed to hire Asami for the vocals. The band is very hard working and prolific. They have 3 EP’s, 3 albums, they have released live albums and live DVD’s with the song you just reacted being from their latest dvd. They wrote the song Winds Of Transylvania for the new anime Vladlove and they are ambassadors for the show. The petite models start with Miyako's classical piano intro, Midori's weeping guitar and Asami's bluesy vocals and shift gears several times and do transitions that are totally awesome to appreciate.
