@@greatbritishbikingadventures Yes. Very verdant countryside. Either side of the bay, Swansea and Cardiff are more built-up, and the middle coast is more natural and undeveloped. Great video: the camera lens perspective works well with the big scenery. Thanks.
Good morning you wonderful people, I'm a bit late this week due to circumstances beyond my control.anyhow it was well worth waiting for to get my beautiful coastline fix. Hope the bike was still there in the morning bike theft is bad up north! Thanks for sharing enjoy your weekend.TTFN.
Love have you keep having to make U Turns 🤣 Reminds me of 'no room at the Inn for Mary' , have expecting you to end up in a barn with nothing but some Hay on the floor 😇 That food looked tasty at the end, surely that wasn't from 'Spoons?!
We would have been happy with a straw barn 😇. The food definitely was NOT spoons. Funny thing is we've just come back from another spoons hotel, can't beat it for the money 💷. And yes, I don't like U turning!😠
Good morning Jared & Esther, Well I've caught up, Ep 1-78 viewed and looks like you're nearly safely home. Great tour, especially South Wales section, thank you. Inevitably, Scotland and Ireland coasts beckon - you'll need some time for those!! Take care out there. SteveD
Hi Steve, I think you’re the current holder of the ’binge watch’ 🏆 trophy 🏆. Well done and thanks for putting up with us😁. Your prize is a new episode (79) today!
Fabulous channel. You’re right about the old Guest Houses and B&B’s sadly most gone to Airbnb with resultant inflated prices and a lot with minimum stay periods. 😞
Thanks for the wonderful last few episodes. I’ve caught up now. I sometimes wonder what Britain’s coastal and seaside resorts would be like if foreign holidays were either banned or never took hold. I stayed in a Wetherspoons in Whitby earlier this year and found it to be reasonable with a sea view.
You are in my neck of the woods, I remember the Sea Lawns very well. How on earth do you guys know about it ? I can't believe you stayed in the centre of Bridgend and left the bike outside, not a great area. We are literally half a mile from the centre.
Ha! We had several locals tell us the next morning how they were surprised the bike escaped unscathed. Thankfully it did. We put it down to the power of prayer and the good locals that kept watch for us. We love Wales. Can’t get enough of your lovely country. We were in Cardiff, Brecon and Abergavenny last week on the bike and saw the Mon and Brec canal and booked a narrow boat for 5 days that were currently sat in moored up for the night. Great to hear from you again. PS, we liked Bridgend. You might have recognised the restaurant. It was the Spanish tapas place just around the corner from Spoons.
Yes I think its in Elder St, used to be a Chinese laundry when I was a kid. They have recently regenerated these buildings as they are significantly important, the reason escapes me at this moment. Enjoy the canal holiday 🙂
Thank you. The video captures the character of the coastline very well. Great perspective. Cool music coming into Southerndown.
That is a lovely stretch of coast road, do you know it?

You’ll have to see what happens next week!! That’s if I get the time to edit it. We currently away on the bike trying a new video set up.

I'm on it......the joys of retirement and being home alone whilst "the management" is at work until 3.00pm 😀😀

Thank you Nick. You're spot on - the farm where the kids were waving was an Airbnb that couldn't accommodate one night drop ins!

We've just got back from 2 nights out on the bike and on the first night stayed at Weatherspoons in Brecon. It was very nice and excellent value.
Nice scenic roads but I agree that not a good parking place for the bike. I am a bit fussy where I park the bike as most of us are.
Will it still be there in the morning?
