Big thanks to your step-father. It impressed me so much when you recognized him and showed appreciation. Tells me that he came into your life and tried to be a blessing in your life. The way it should be.

Good Work That's amazing amount of work in one month. What progress. I thought you were crazy how much you've changed the floor plan, but I gotta say it works. Becoming envious of your little spot in life. If it wasn't so cold, you'd have a lot of new neighbours. Hope it all keeps going well for you and yours. Peace, Love and Respect to All xxx

Wow those Tassie oak doors were a great pick up, I love Tassie oak. As a long time builder May I suggest you re-think using a sliding glass door as your main entrance, I made that mistake once, it sucked. keep the hinges door as the main entrance.

Yes they were a steal! I have also purchased a Tas Oak kitchen to match, decided against the sliding front door, have purchased a timber door with stained glass panels to restore and fit. Check out the monthly update vids for progress and ever changing plans.

Think about storage especially the kitchen… Are you having a dedicated pantry? Kitchens are like the Tardis - can hold far more than then first imagined…
Re front door - great suggestion re sliding glass doors - loss of heat, cooling plus a dedicated spot doesn’t have visitors circumnavigating the building looking for the front door…
I would have the laundry sinks under the windows rather than off to the side and don’t forget a broom, vacuum space with a power points for a dedicated power-up site for recharging the newer models of vacs etc…
Power points you can never have enough of…
Looks fabulous though and love the views and the quiet…. And thanks to your step-dad for lending a hand, as you walked the property in that introduction vid I thought this could be overwhelming to know even where to begin…

Saw the next video before this one, so now know where the dining room is going but although I already know you totally removed the wall separating the kitchen and lounge, I truly think you need to put either the whole wall back up or at least build a half wall to give you a place to at least have more lower kitchen cabinets and countertops space and this would give you a wall enough on the lounge side for furniture placement. I think removeing the front door in favor of just a sliding door in the dining room would be a mistake in the long run. Think about bringing in groceries or other things, you'd have to go by the dining table and chairs and maybe move them out of the way for things. But a regular door you just go right in nothing to go around.

Not sure why your video came up in my feed, but I watched the previous one first. I would love to do something like this. I’m interested to know how much you paid for the house and how much your tip fees were. I look forward to seeing your journey and progress. Cheers from Country Victoria. ✌️

Unortunately i won't disclose purchase cost out of respect to previous owner, it was however priced accordingly to the state of disrepair. Fortunately i already lived in the area and had landfill tickets that i used.

G'day I'm looking at your project for the first time very exciting. Looking forward to your progress.
Sometimes cheap windows aren't the best , you'll waste money with heat loss.

The windows arn't very old, single glazing but thick insul glass. My budget does not extend to new double glazing unfortunately.
