We’re interested in watching your progress. Can you please film horizontally? Thank you.
I just signed in to ask the same thing haha 😀
Horizontal is definitely more enjoyable! 😆😆😆😆
I love that you are bringing this beautiful property back to life! The million dollar views are really special, and the peace is gorgeous! I am enjoying seeing what you are doing next. Thank you for sharing this "journey" with us. 😀 You are going to love living there! 😀
It would be great if more abandoned homes were brought back to life.
A favour if I can ask please mate. For those of us who watch your videos on TV, can you possibly video in landscape mode, not portrait? Really interested to see how this property comes along!
We’re watching with much interest. My wife spent many happy childhood years in this neck of the woods. Her grandfather had a nearby property called Riverside.
Haha the ol’ barter system, amazing what a carton of beer will get you 😂
My dad lives in Queenstown in Tasmania. The neighbour up the road keeps losing their goat because it goes on my Dad's front yard they're really good to eat Blackberry bushes and everything.
Just came across your channel and looking forward to the rest of your reno . It’s amazing how quickly a renovation can be done when you know what you want , I’m a semi retired electrician so seen plenty of renovations, good and bad . Everything is looking good mate , won’t be long til your in . New sub , keep up the good work.👍
Thanks so much!
I'm a chippy/ cabinet maker and we are moving down in Jan. This is exactly the type of projects I am looking to sink my teeth into. Agree with so many of the comments here, such a neat and well thought out renovation. That view from the kitchen :)
Thanks! You should find plenty of work down here! Arn't the views just wonderful!
@@taddy83 Love the kitchen btw. You're saving $$$ just there hey!
Great progress!! I agree those windows let in so much light, they were a great find.
Same with the kitchen cabinets another great find. Well done to your hard work.
Great you have the skills to do such a great job !!
I am happy to see more come here to Tasmania and do this renovation work. Many houses lie empty here for one reason or another. When many could be sold and honest buyers who can save them do so. I have built a house here and also renovated with hubby. Now we are happily enjoying Tasmania so keep going. Try to save any hard timber or old baths for gardens its great place to grow things and retire. Look forward to seeing how your project goes.
So glad that 1970’s cladding has gone, it was everywhere along the coast back then.
Looking really good. Can really see how it’s going be such a beautiful property. The windows already make such a difference
Love it, just remember that in winter you my want to lock off different parts of the house to conserve heat 😊
Fantastic.. excellent progress, it's looking great!! 👍👍
Well done, you are doing well.😊
Huge improvement already..Very impressed how clean your work is..
Looking forward to your next video..Good luck with it..😊👍
You've done a great job so far. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
@@taddy83hey mate top job there and only two months well done
New subscriber. Wow!!! I’m impressed!!! You have made real progress in a short period of time. I think you are going to need more room in the walk in wardrobe for all your wife’s gear. 😆
Awesome work mate, smashing along 👌
Thanks 👍
Are you going to live in it or rent or sell it
Hey Tad, please insulate the external walls, I don't know if you are but it's the best thing you can do. Also the bedroom or office that is coming off your lounge, if you move the entrance around the corner and build a little niche there with two bedroom doors coming off it and some build in cupboards that would eliminate any awkward entrance from your lounge and you could put a door at the entrance to the lounge.
Check out the latest video! That is exactly what i did with the bedroom door! All walls external and internal are insulated! A must for the cold weather!
Excellent! What a great job you’re doing!
If the dishwasher's going in that little opening she's going to be fairly cramped. Its coming along really good and it looks better without that cladding on.
@@chriscorrigan7420 dishwasher will be standard width and size. Cabinetry just loosely sitting there. It will look far more in proportion once it is all fitted up properly. Need access to walls to install electrical and new windows before the cabinets can be fitted.
@@taddy83 I've just watched your next video. What a difference to the whole house. Are you going to remove all the cladding and go back to weatherboards? Bloody nice part of the country. Good on ya mate. Its great to see this sort of a show that has us in our own back yard. Well I suppose it's still oversea's. It appears to be quite a solid old place.
@@chriscorrigan7420 the weather boards are in pretty rough shape on the main part of the house and painted with some sort of texture coat which will be a nightmare to remove. The back porch area will go back to original boards but I will likely reclad the rest of the house with some sort of hardie board.
@@taddy83 All sounds pretty good to me. Its a shame that so many people start these projects and pull out just after starting on them but good luck for other's. Mate it all sounds good and you should have a nice little humpy when its all done.
Awesome progress!
love watching....... Would love to view as full screen, so I can admire and appreciate the view, work etc!!!! Sadly, the skinny upright view does not do all your hard work justice!!!
@@dianeweston4101 yep worked out how to make that happen, latest update is in full screen
I grew up at the start of that road
Old Fred beams place 😎
Now to subscribe 😎😎
And what a beautiful Area that is
Especially watching Elphinstones Bullocks
Wow, this looks so interesting. I'm looking forward to following your progress. If I may ask, where in your home would be north facing. This is so important in winter to maximise sun into your living areas, esp being in chilly Tassie 🌞🌧
North is where the new kitchen and lounge/dining areas will be, that is why i changed the floor plan so living areas were on the north facing end of the house! Makes it so much more functional and lets the light in.
@taddy83 good planning. Nothing worse than sitting in a sunless living room over winter
Can you please turn your phone sideways when recording. It makes for a tenfold better viewing experience. Keep up the good work!
Loving the updates cheers bro
Thanks for taking us along on your project. I am not sure about your floor plan. Having a sliding door in the kitchen doesn’t make sense. I think for future projects get a professional to help with layout. I am sure you will end up with a lovely home with a lot of hard work. Good luck 💎
Check out the upcoming monthly update vid and the floor plan will make more sense now all the walls are up.
Which region of Tas are you in? Looks great.
North west
Hi saw your walk around of the abandoned property. What price was this property on the market? Thanks
Sorry i won't disclose that info out of respect for previous owner.
So since the dining room is now becoming a bedroom where is the dining room at? Plus the pantry unit you showed you didn't mention there placement in the kitchen?
Dining room will be in where the front sunroom area is off the kitchen. Check out the upcoming monthly update and the floor plan will make more sense now that all the new walls are up and walls coming out are removed.
Is it going to afford underfloor heating before you put floor coverings on that would be good while you're at that stage
Wood heating, it is the best for Tas winters.
Can’t watch this in vertical. Pity as it would be ok to subscribe if filmed in horizontal. I don’t get it
Future videos will be in landscape, as i do it off my phone i was unaware that it was showing as portrait on a tv.
Gee whizz the things people feel entitled to whine about. First world problems dude, just be thankful they uploaded something.
You’re posting on TH-cam - put your bloody camera in landscape mode 😡
Definitely change to landscape please. Too hard to see what you have done.
Yes i am a little technology challenged..😂 i now know how to get landscape videos on my phone.
Don't be so bluddy aggressive and offer some constructive advice or don't watch😒😒
@@maretteschulz8898 Mind your own F*#@ing business, wasn’t talking to you.
How bout you tone done the aggression buddy, the amount of entitlement you have is outrageous. Be thankful you have something to watch, I am sure you don't comment that to all the TikToks you watch in portrait mode. 🤦♀
