      Not a thing sadly. Paternity fraud is perfectly legal in the US and seems to be even encouraged. Interesting enough, many -people are against mandatory dna testing....makes you wonder.

    Story 1: why would they wait until wedding day to spill the beans? Imagine spending thousands of dollars on a wedding only for it to not happen. If he had found out sooner, he might have been able to recoup some of the costs. Ex best friend had a gleeful look on his face thinking he would get his way. Well he lost a friend, who apparently wasn’t a friend in the end, and the girl probably hates AP now for the way he went about things…but she was wrong too by trying to trap OP in a marriage with a baby that wasn’t his 🤦🏼‍♀️ if you are going to cheat on your SO, then you do NOT love that person enough…end of story! So tired of all the excuses of why “it just happened and doesn’t mean anything”. Um, it means something to the SO 😡

    She was going to tell him after the wedding? In my state in the US, that would mean he would be on the hook for paying for the child, even if it wasn't his. Your wife has an affair and gets pregnant and you divorce her? Too bad, at least 18 years of child support. If you are unlucky they nail you for college, too. Since the best friend and fiance waited so long to tell him, I wonder if OP can sue them for money lost on the wedding.

    • @maurer3d
      @maurer3d 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      In most States with that law there is a loophole that if you can prove who the real father is you don't have to pay child support, he would.

    • @silverstarmoon5802

      I live in united state and there are some state that u can sue the mom for parental fraud and couldn't pay the child support to the child that wasn't his. Also, I hear some states are changing their laws because of this.

    • @stephanien6237
      @stephanien6237 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless contested, a child born within a marriage is considered the child of that man. However; the OP can/should contest it and get a dna test.

    • @davidransom4476

      I LIVE IN California. Even if the husband proves It's not his child, he's going to be paying. Infidelity is also not grounds for divorce here.

    • @Jerseybytes2
      @Jerseybytes2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davidransom4476 most states are not at fault. My lawyer said it makes for a faster and cheaper divorce.
      I saw a story somewhere where they said that, in Michigan if you're on the birth certificate, you have to pay child support even if you prove you're not the father.

  • @heathermcdougall8023

    OP is not the baby's father - his "best" friend is. WELL, OP, you know what to do don't you? Bye cheater, get on with our life, and a wedding is so much cheaper than a divorce.

  • @silverstarmoon5802
    @silverstarmoon5802 2 ปีที่แล้ว +32

    There are a good thing about op's situation, at least he can permanently cut ties on his cheated ex and not paying child support on the affair child. So, that ex friend did op a huge favor and saved him for life of not paying child support with the cheated ex.
    I feel sorry for op and what he going through but at least he know what kind of people that they betrayed him .

    Well he dodged a bullet. If she cheated before she would cheat during marriage. Ironically the ex best friend and her will not make it long term. They are both cheaters and their marriage will never last. Feel sorry for the kid. He should sue them for any costs incurred with the wedding though.

    Look into proportional finances in a relationship. And also, that he seems to think he gets to make all the decisions, including committing OP to a more expensive house that she didn’t want. Also, him NOT cleaning their original home, and wanting to upgrade and force OP to pay for cleaning is pure entitlement.

    11:33. It’s weird to hear people talk about their clearly financially/emotionally abusive husbands as though it’s just a normal thing. I suspect it’s easier to recognize from the outside. Hopefully as we hear these stories, other people will recognize the signs earlier if they are ever in such a situation.

    When ever this happens its prudent to re contextualize your situation. -you didn't loose a brother, you lost a guy that saw you as a charity case and had no respect for you. You didn't loose a wife, you lost a maciavalian cheater that wanted to spring (do probably not admit it ) somebody else's baby on you AFTER you were hooked legally. -you did not lose a Life, you gained one whit less deceitful manipulative people. Mourne for what you think you had. but keep in mind theirs better things to haw before you.

  • @oneuup2490
    @oneuup2490 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    If the people were saying "I told you so" mostly everybody knows what that means, unless you're dumb.. They were probably telling OP that his ex was sleeping around or that her being around his best friend looks suspicious and he was sweeping it under the rug, was not looking into it..
    Thinking that it's his best friend and fiancee, they wouldn't do anything like that.. And I understand y'all are going to be like oh my gosh he didn't know..
    whatever!! I believe he was told and he didn't believe it and now this is the end result of him not paying attention and listening to what people were saying.. Even if you didn't listen to what they said, hear them and then pay attention with with your own eyes..
    That right there would tell you more of a story than anything else and also your gut feeling always remember, it is there for a reason. Alot of people ignore that.. Stop ignoring that feeling If something is going on your gut is going to tell you..

    • @neila128
      @neila128 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There was another reddit post where an OP's bf got his and OP's realtionship ruined because he focused too much on what everyone else is saying. Surprise surprise, 'the people' telling OP's bf she was cheating turned out to be liars, but OP's bf believed them and broke it off with OP and slandered her everywhere. When the truth came out, nothing could be salvaged except for the apologies.
      So while yes, we should follow our gut feelings and listen to people's perspective and advice, ultimately the best solution is to balance out our logic and feelings: listennto our gut feelings, find proof, listen to all sides of the parties involved, and THEN draw our conclusion(s) on the situation.

    Damn man. If you're going to assault him, don't just try to swing at him or throw punches. Be deliberate. You know you've got a short window and people will try to stop you. He permanently damaged you so return the favor. Be casual. hide your intent. Then gauge his eye out. If someone hurts you permanent, you hurt them permanent and you let the horrible mutilating or crippling injury be a constant reminder and punishment.

    • @Snipergoat1
      @Snipergoat1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of witnesses at a wedding. A judge may sympathize but you still get the book thrown at you. Also friend is more athletic, he may be better in direct fight. Attack by ambush. Need plausible deniability and a strong alibi if you plan to hurt him badly. (Who wouldn't) Possibly by permanently removing his ability to sire children. There are a few ways of doing that. Most would be excruciating, pick one. Repeated blunt force trauma would be least efficient but probably most satisfying.
      No mercy for that dude.
