  • The sources contain a variety of philosophical topics and ideas. Matthew Congdon's book, "Moral Articulation," focuses on the development of new moral concepts. There are reflections on the problem of dementia, and the impact it has on people and their families. Several sources present philosophical quotes and ideas from figures like Thomas Paine, who emphasized the distinction between people and their governments; Plato, who stated that too much freedom can lead to slavery; and Nāgārjuna, who wrote about the limits of analysis. There are also quotes from Ludwig Wittgenstein on the nature of ideas, Oscar Wilde on the importance of living life fully, and Jürgen Habermas on political decisions. A quote from Lev Shestov discusses the Middle Ages and their view of normality.
The sources also touch on contemporary ethical issues. There are discussions of sexual exploitation and harassment, emphasizing concepts of consent, power dynamics, and responsibility. The ethical dimensions of LGBTQ+ rights are explored, along with the role of religion in shaping moral principles and ethical behavior. The sources consider family ethics for Filipino millennials and their work attitudes. Additionally, the sources address the challenges to ethical behavior in today's world, and the importance of environmental ethics. There are also discussions of the obligation to pay taxes.
Other topics include an analysis of the plight of the poor through different historical periods, and a new book series on ancient East-West philosophy. A film by a philosopher and artist couple has been nominated for an Oscar. There is also information about a summer program in Chinese Studies.
The provided sources present a wide range of philosophical and ethical issues, touching upon both historical and contemporary concerns, and covering a variety of topics from personal development to social and political issues. These different topics could be used as the basis for TH-cam videos, as was proposed previously, and which focused on individual topics.

I have a friend that has been working with tech his whole life. He always keeps me up on the technical side. I have always been into history and philosophy. So the philosophical side of the AI discussion is a part that really fascinates me that I don't hear enough of. Thanks for exploring it

Agree, a lot we can learn from philosophy as we approach AGI.
I hope we can all slow down and reflect a little amid this shift... it's at least good to revisit all the questions again with the future we are building

I agree, it's not all about just the tech or how much money it makes. AI will reshape who we are
