You don't get to be that goofy if your joy and humour isn't indulged at least a little, while having the issues with attachment that come from being "the spare" (as opposed to "the heir"), and Claire has the kind of anxiety and feelings of being a caretaker to others that comes from being given too much responsibility at a young age (as many elder sisters are).
As an elder sister I can confirm, however I think we should not generalise this.. Every sibling relationship is different. I've seen many younger sisters being the caretakers etc. and many older ones being the goofy ones.
And that family reunion in Ep1 Season 2...was the most painful and awkward family dinner sequence I've ever seen since Hereditary! I mean I know Claire's just had a miscarriage but God how I felt sorry for Fleabag! She's such a sweet sister who tries to cover her big sister...Claire at that moment was brutally harsh to Fleabag but at the same time I felt her pain. What a writing! And I so wanted to punch Martin in his face! Who would compare a miscarried baby to a goldfish jumped out of its tank?? Personally I hate him so much more than the godmother!

Well, the problem is mostly that while about 90% of women might have a 'perfect body' according to at least some people, they are conditioned to the other people. Mostly because 'dislikes' scream louder than 'likes'. Noone will protest for keeping things the way they are no matter how much they like them, no parent will ever call a school about a good teacher. It's hard to pin down what makes things good, but finding a single flaw is pretty easy.
I grew up in a household with 4 sisters and as kids we used to lay and tickle each others feet and sleep in the same bed - now I am 50 I only speak to one of them as family issues intervene. Shame when your siblings marry and move on there is no more family connection.

The relationship I have with my older sister is very similar to this however the underlying affection is her misplaced idea of what love is and me not being all that bothered if I find out she had been hit by a bus. Lol
I'm glad my sister and I have different body shapes. I'm curvy and she's a bean pole. I'm busty, she's flat chested. Never had to worry about her stealing my clothes.... Because she was permitted to dress the cool way she wanted and I had to dress according to what didn't trigger my mother's projected body image issues: Gender neutral bag clothes to cover my curves.
