I have a 23 high country but with the z71 package instead of the 22 inch wheels. I drive about 40k miles a year, only real issue I've had is a bad parking sensor module, which is back ordered. The seats are firm, but better than the pre refresh models. The multiflex tailgate has ended up being one of my favorite things about it. Overall I'm very happy with mine. The tundra will theoretically last longer based on toyotas history, but some of the tech stuff and basic design just isn't as functional.
Have a 2022 high country. The key fob is so basic I hate it for a 70k plus truck 😆. Rides great, beautiful interior. Annoying how you need to have a $25 a month on star subscription to have access to so of the features, pure greed. Overall, very pleased with the truck. Feels very luxurious and smoothe. Got the 5.3 L. Folks gotta be ready to spend 1k a month on gas or diesel to have the 6 liter 😅
My only issue is the DRL aren’t awesome looking. For such a big truck they made that lighting feature ultra small which makes no sense since it’s all rather boldly styled. I think I’m just surprised that they didn’t use that real estate to make a splash, this front end has base truck energy. But the rest of it is awesome though.
Although the same truck as the GMC, we still have to act like they are different so the Chevy version is called multi-flex tailgate while the Sierra is called multi-pro tailgate
Between the 2 the High Country will be a good choice. Now GMC is more of an upgrade in a sense. But if you really want complete luxury in a GMC go for the Ultimate. That's a complete different look that outdo the High Country. To me to be honest GMC is a more fancy Chevrolet. Just saying.

But if you want to have better than High Country go for the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. Or get the base model GMC Sierra. Either way yiu you can't go wrong it's all about preference and how much you want to spend.
