So let's see that famous list : 30 - Mob Psycho 100 : nice choice, way too many people are ignoring it because of its artstyle 29 - Kimetsu no Yaiba : enjoyable if you like brainless fights and flashy animation. While the adaptation is great (most of the time), the manga itself isn't particularly special (uninteresting plot, unidimensional characters, repetitive fights) 28 - Yu Yu Hakusho : haven't watched it yet but it's a great anime indeed 27 - Monster : 10/10 choice and 10/10 anime. One if not the best psychological thriller anime/manga ever made 26 - Jujutsu Kaisen : KnY but better. It's a modern classic shonen so why not, it's quite enjoyable despite not being revolutionary 25 - Bungou Stray Dogs : really nice anime with great characters and an interesting plot, especially the latest arcs with all the mindgames 24 - Frieren : a beloved and already modern classic that sure is the best anime of the decade so far. It's also quite stunning to see how much love was poured into the adaptation 23 - One Piece : of course it had to be on this list, it might really be the most popular anime of all time. Too bad the pacing is horrible, it's way too dragged and just how its quality has declined since the ellipse 22 - Berserk : nice to see it on this list, a classic for sure. It hasn't aged perfectly but definitively still holds up well. Too bad it never got a sequel or a qualitative reboot 21 - Dragon Ball Z : another classic that had to be on the list. Same problem as One Piece though, too dragged out and the overall shonen tropes might have been enjoyable back then or when you're 14 but now they're tiring 20 - A Place Further Than the Universe : surprised to see this anime on this list since it's not really well-known. Excellent anime though, perfectly captures the feeling of adventure (and a reachable and realistic one !) 19 - Erased : great anime as well with a lot of suspense and twists. Never understood why the adaptation decided to go with an anime-original ending though. 18 - Higurashi : a classic horror anime. The original anime is pretty interesting and original, but please skip the new one (Gou and Sotsu), it's mediocre at best. Also, if you want to fully experience the story, just go play the VN 17 - Kaiji : haven't watched it yet but also a pretty good anime I'm eager to watch 16 - Vinland Saga : another modern classic with an original setting and great characters. Since the manga is near its end, let's hope for a 3rd season and a full adaptation 15 - One Punch Man : this one is pretty well-known. First season was pretty fun. Second season was...good, at most. Too bad this kind of manga needs a great adaptation like S1. Sadly, same can't be said about S2 and future S3 even if they're still enjoyable. Also, the manga drags the story too much and should have ended already 14 - Golden Kamuy : oh that's a nice surprise ! Might be one of the first times I've seen Golden Kamuy on a list. The first seasons (especially the 3rd) are great, the 4th one is weaker due to the staff changes but still quite good. Well-written characters, interesting plot, nice comedy, great soundtrack, it really checks almost all the boxes. Don't forget to go read the manga as well, it's a must-read 13 - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure : of course it's there, another classic. Great saga, even though Stone Ocean was weaker and its shitty Netflix-way of release killed a good chunk of hype. Now let's hope they'll nail the adaptation of the best part, aka Steel Ball Run 12 - Steins;Gate : yeah, speaking of classics. Great and tense anime, the beginning is a bit slow yet still interesting. The otaku culture in the anime is a bit cringe though 11 - Made in Abyss : another anime with a phenomenal adaptation. Godly soundtracks, interesting plot, amazing world-building, well-written characters and the anime doesn't shy away from gruesome moments. Like, it really doesn't. Too bad the author releases a new chapter everytime planets are aligned so we won't get a third season before a LONG time (and yes, we know the author is a degenerate, we've all accepted it at this point) 10 - Fate : good pick. Maybe ufotable will get back to it once they're done milking Demon Slayer. Good luck with the watching order though. 9 - Code Geass : another classic² that deserves its place here. Fascinating protagonist and great story 8 - Hunter x Hunter 2011 : should've seen it coming. Yes, it's a must-watch that likes to play with the shonen tropes. Too bad we'll have to wait at least a few decades (if we're lucky) to get another season, if the mangaka finishes the story at all of course. 7 - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann : yeah, might be the most well-known mecha anime. Lots of action and emotions. Mostly a pop-corn anime though 6 - Death Note : of course it's there. The famous mindgame anime. Too bad it goes downhill after a certain point. 5 - Mobile Suit Gundam : an old classic that pretty much launched the anime hype in the world, but especially in Japan. Good luck struggling with the watch order and the 2695 entries in the franchise 4 - Shingeki no Kyojin : the most popular anime is here, as expected. Great...everything, even if it divises the community after the third season, between the staff changes and the overall story going in a new direction. And, well, the ending is...an ending. 3 - Cowboy Bebop : See you space cowboy 2 - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood : predictable, since the anime has pretty much everything to be a great hit. It hasn't been the highest-rated anime for 14 years for nothing 1 - Evangelion : yeah, saw it coming too. Great anime, too bad Shinji is unsufferable and annoying, as well as other characters like Asuka. And it's still a bit pretentious of an anime too. Yeah, so that was an interesting list. Of course, the vast majority of the choices are really popular and famous anime, but it was a nice touch to see a few lesser-known anime in there. Really dissapointed that Black Clover didn't make the list. It has to be the most underrated shonen anime ever and everyone needs to check it out at least once
It’s good, but it borrows too much from other anime without giving enough original content to put it on top of the industry legends. If you watch BC along side Fairy Tale and Naruto you’ll start seeing it. It IS good and it has parts that are wholly unique to itself, but a lot of the core themes can be seen as copy paste from other tried and true stories. I love black clover. A LOT. But I wouldn’t call it one of rhebbreak out stories of its generation. There was just too much competition at the time for it to shine brighter than it did.

My personal favorite Giant Robot Anime is Escaflone. Reason being is that it starts out rather tame but as the series goes on it grows progressively more and more violent and the body count stacks up.
OMG YES!!!! Escaflone is sooo underrated. I feel like everyone who’s seen it agrees it’s a masterpiece but so few people HAVE actually seen it/even know about it that it isn’t able to get the recognition it so rightfully deserves. Even the name is awesome.
dude, I LOVE POKEMON MORE THAN ANYONE HERE . But it has more episodes that bloody one piece . There's no way they would recommend that . Same goes for naruto

I'm a big fan of Demon Slayer, and Evangelion's plot was hard to grasp, but one anime that I'm glad I gave a chance was Frieren. I had heard many reviews and seen many videos talking about it, but I didn't get into it at first. However, once I did, I was so hooked on it, and it just was an amazing masterpiece. I only regretted not watching it sooner, though my IG feed was FLOODED with edits of the Ubel fight, only for it to be a little underwhelming. Now, as for the list, I honestly think that everyone needs to watch Kill La Kill, Highschool DxD, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Konosuba, and Akame Ga Kill at least once. Just once, and see where it goes
For anyone that wants a different take on DBZ try watching DBZ Abridged by Team 4Star- you might even come to like their take on the series as much as the series itself.

Can we throw in some Ranma 1/2 for pioneering the harem anime, being the first representation of the modern tsundere, being a super early but very modern representation of lgbtq+ themes and feminism. Also this was made in the 1980’s by the princess of manga, rumiko takahashi. Did I mention that it’s a martial arts sitcom? No? Well it is, and it’s hilarious. Please go watch it. More recommendations: Alien 9 Little pet shop of horrors Dungeon meshi Anything from studio Ghibli Grave of the fireflies ( warning: before shindeleres list list was the saddest movie ever made) Apothecary diaries The girl who lept through time Perfect blue My happy marriage Any show that can actually write women
I would also recommend people to watch the Onimusha Netflix series atleast once. The fight scenes were just amazing for a CG anime and it was the first anime directed by Takashi Miike. Sad that barely anyone knows this anime due to one of them it being a low-budget anime and barely anyone even knew the Onimusha franchise. It also kinda ended on a cliffhanger of some sort.
For those who dont wanna watch the epic one piece seasons: there are movie versions of the: east blue arc, alabasta arc, tony choppers arc, nami's character arc, and various other arcs that fill in the gaps of the one piece filler arcs: ive watched them all and lemme tell ya....im still not satisfied XD the final arc NEEDS TO BE A GODDAMNED 2 PART 2 1/2 HOUR MOVIE EVENT!
I’m surprised Inuyasha isn’t on here. I feel like half the millennial anime watchers watched it as their first anime back when it was on Adult Swim. It’s such a classic for that generation.

Anime, I do enjoy monster, and I'm not talking about the energy drink, but however, a lot of people should check out, the following anime, lupin the third, shaman King, gunsmith cats, read or die, tiger mask w, superbook, if you can find it, because it's a very old anime. More anime is, dot Hack, spider riders, fist of the North sky, as much as I enjoy fist of the North Star, I feel, people should know about a bit more, is going to be, fist of the North sky, Sergeant frog, and Mobile suit Gundam: double zero, and mobile suit G Gundam. I also enjoy, s-cry-ed, redline, space dandy, and Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler.
I'm suprised Saint Seiya (1986) didn't make the list; that anime was SO, SO influential and it really shows in many popular anime like Demon Slayer (calling out attacks, occasional talks mid-battle, 6 upper moons = 12 Gold Saints?)
I love the description you’ve created for the plot, they are like teasers but not spoilers👏🏻, the videos however have some really big spoilers, although I understand that it’s a hard job, but maybe next time it would be better to include moments just from the first season of the anime? AoT and Jujutsu had some late ones at least ..
Hellsing ultimate to this day is still one of my favourite anime. You've got the ultimate monster in Dracula or alucard hunting other monsters including nazi vampires. It's fucking nuts in the best possible way and at only 10 episodes it's a relatively easy watch as well.
I'm surprised that my favorite anime, Re:Zero, is not included on this list. In my opinion, it contains the greatest use of character development in all of anime.
Ok, so I'm fairly new to anime. I've watched most of Dragon Ball(currently in the Univese 6 saga), and for the most part, it's been great, albeit I do find myself taking breaks after a couple of episodes. I've completed the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood animation, and it was excellent and I've watched Solo Leveling, and I love that. Last but not least, there is death note, and to be honest I was having a blast with it until I got to the 6th or 7th episode, and I was so emotionally invested in a particular character and I had hoped that we'd see more of what this character could have done for the show, however things happend and I can no longer watch it. So, with all of my prior experience with anime, I'm now looking for a new one to keep me entertained.

Dragon Ball (og series) was what I started my boys with and they've seen everything but the movies that I can't find in dub (they're still learning to read and can't keep up with the subtitle yet).
Cowboy Bebop has gotten old enough where its impact can understandably be not felt. Heck, it's fair to even say it's "overrated", now. I see that opinion pop up a lot more as people grow up with different, more "modern" anime. But you know you've made it when you become the anime community's shorthand for something being "good" or a "solid series". Bang.
If it were me, I would've put Kill la Kill on this list instead of Gurren Lagan; I enjoyed *both* , but the threat Kill la Kills conflict revolves around, the Life Fibers, feel much more like a *real* threat than the Spiral Gurren Lagans revolves around because the effects the Life Fibers have on humans in the anime are the same ones clothing has been demonstrated to have on them in the *real* world, which made me feel like I had an actual *stake* in the conflict; that was obviously the point, as Kill la Kills message is that our being conditioned to cover up with clothes at all times and feel shame towards our naked bodies is a form of *tyranny* that we need to fight back against by embracing our naked bodies *without* shame; & it delivers it *beautifully* , proving that fanservice is not only not inherently harmful to a story, but can actually be a big *part* , of a really *good* one! Throw in the fact that it's English dub is actually faithful to the original Japanese script in literally *every* way, & Kill la Kill is *definitely* an anime everyone should watch!

This channel has a love for Evangelion that I feel is unfounded and overblown. The series certainly has a following, but to rank it this high is insane to me. Seriously, it's at a level where I wonder if you're getting a kick back to advertise the show - no one I know has ever ranked it above Brotherhood, much less shows like Haikyuu!! or Samurai Champloo that are much higher quality yet somehow failed to even receive a mention here

30 - Mob Psycho 100 : nice choice, way too many people are ignoring it because of its artstyle
29 - Kimetsu no Yaiba : enjoyable if you like brainless fights and flashy animation. While the adaptation is great (most of the time), the manga itself isn't particularly special (uninteresting plot, unidimensional characters, repetitive fights)
28 - Yu Yu Hakusho : haven't watched it yet but it's a great anime indeed
27 - Monster : 10/10 choice and 10/10 anime. One if not the best psychological thriller anime/manga ever made
26 - Jujutsu Kaisen : KnY but better. It's a modern classic shonen so why not, it's quite enjoyable despite not being revolutionary
25 - Bungou Stray Dogs : really nice anime with great characters and an interesting plot, especially the latest arcs with all the mindgames
24 - Frieren : a beloved and already modern classic that sure is the best anime of the decade so far. It's also quite stunning to see how much love was poured into the adaptation
23 - One Piece : of course it had to be on this list, it might really be the most popular anime of all time. Too bad the pacing is horrible, it's way too dragged and just how its quality has declined since the ellipse
22 - Berserk : nice to see it on this list, a classic for sure. It hasn't aged perfectly but definitively still holds up well. Too bad it never got a sequel or a qualitative reboot
21 - Dragon Ball Z : another classic that had to be on the list. Same problem as One Piece though, too dragged out and the overall shonen tropes might have been enjoyable back then or when you're 14 but now they're tiring
20 - A Place Further Than the Universe : surprised to see this anime on this list since it's not really well-known. Excellent anime though, perfectly captures the feeling of adventure (and a reachable and realistic one !)
19 - Erased : great anime as well with a lot of suspense and twists. Never understood why the adaptation decided to go with an anime-original ending though.
18 - Higurashi : a classic horror anime. The original anime is pretty interesting and original, but please skip the new one (Gou and Sotsu), it's mediocre at best. Also, if you want to fully experience the story, just go play the VN
17 - Kaiji : haven't watched it yet but also a pretty good anime I'm eager to watch
16 - Vinland Saga : another modern classic with an original setting and great characters. Since the manga is near its end, let's hope for a 3rd season and a full adaptation
15 - One Punch Man : this one is pretty well-known. First season was pretty fun. Second season was...good, at most. Too bad this kind of manga needs a great adaptation like S1. Sadly, same can't be said about S2 and future S3 even if they're still enjoyable. Also, the manga drags the story too much and should have ended already
14 - Golden Kamuy : oh that's a nice surprise ! Might be one of the first times I've seen Golden Kamuy on a list. The first seasons (especially the 3rd) are great, the 4th one is weaker due to the staff changes but still quite good. Well-written characters, interesting plot, nice comedy, great soundtrack, it really checks almost all the boxes. Don't forget to go read the manga as well, it's a must-read
13 - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure : of course it's there, another classic. Great saga, even though Stone Ocean was weaker and its shitty Netflix-way of release killed a good chunk of hype. Now let's hope they'll nail the adaptation of the best part, aka Steel Ball Run
12 - Steins;Gate : yeah, speaking of classics. Great and tense anime, the beginning is a bit slow yet still interesting. The otaku culture in the anime is a bit cringe though
11 - Made in Abyss : another anime with a phenomenal adaptation. Godly soundtracks, interesting plot, amazing world-building, well-written characters and the anime doesn't shy away from gruesome moments. Like, it really doesn't. Too bad the author releases a new chapter everytime planets are aligned so we won't get a third season before a LONG time (and yes, we know the author is a degenerate, we've all accepted it at this point)
10 - Fate : good pick. Maybe ufotable will get back to it once they're done milking Demon Slayer. Good luck with the watching order though.
9 - Code Geass : another classic² that deserves its place here. Fascinating protagonist and great story
8 - Hunter x Hunter 2011 : should've seen it coming. Yes, it's a must-watch that likes to play with the shonen tropes. Too bad we'll have to wait at least a few decades (if we're lucky) to get another season, if the mangaka finishes the story at all of course.
7 - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann : yeah, might be the most well-known mecha anime. Lots of action and emotions. Mostly a pop-corn anime though
6 - Death Note : of course it's there. The famous mindgame anime. Too bad it goes downhill after a certain point.
5 - Mobile Suit Gundam : an old classic that pretty much launched the anime hype in the world, but especially in Japan. Good luck struggling with the watch order and the 2695 entries in the franchise
4 - Shingeki no Kyojin : the most popular anime is here, as expected. Great...everything, even if it divises the community after the third season, between the staff changes and the overall story going in a new direction. And, well, the ending is...an ending.
3 - Cowboy Bebop : See you space cowboy
2 - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood : predictable, since the anime has pretty much everything to be a great hit. It hasn't been the highest-rated anime for 14 years for nothing

It’s good, but it borrows too much from other anime without giving enough original content to put it on top of the industry legends. If you watch BC along side Fairy Tale and Naruto you’ll start seeing it. It IS good and it has parts that are wholly unique to itself, but a lot of the core themes can be seen as copy paste from other tried and true stories. I love black clover. A LOT. But I wouldn’t call it one of rhebbreak out stories of its generation. There was just too much competition at the time for it to shine brighter than it did.
I’d have to include more old school among them. I’d add Star Blazers, Captain Harlock, Slayers, Record of Lodos War, as well as Kill la Kill, Violet Evergarden, and others including Saber Marionette J, Bubblegum Crisis, Assassin Classroom, The Day I Became a God, Classroom of the Elite, Rise of the Shield Hero, The Day I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Paranoia Agent.

I'm a big fan of Demon Slayer, and Evangelion's plot was hard to grasp, but one anime that I'm glad I gave a chance was Frieren. I had heard many reviews and seen many videos talking about it, but I didn't get into it at first. However, once I did, I was so hooked on it, and it just was an amazing masterpiece. I only regretted not watching it sooner, though my IG feed was FLOODED with edits of the Ubel fight, only for it to be a little underwhelming.
Now, as for the list, I honestly think that everyone needs to watch Kill La Kill, Highschool DxD, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Konosuba, and Akame Ga Kill at least once. Just once, and see where it goes
For anyone that wants a different take on DBZ try watching DBZ Abridged by Team 4Star- you might even come to like their take on the series as much as the series itself.

I would also recommend people to watch the Onimusha Netflix series atleast once. The fight scenes were just amazing for a CG anime and it was the first anime directed by Takashi Miike.
Sad that barely anyone knows this anime due to one of them it being a low-budget anime and barely anyone even knew the Onimusha franchise. It also kinda ended on a cliffhanger of some sort.
For those who dont wanna watch the epic one piece seasons: there are movie versions of the: east blue arc, alabasta arc, tony choppers arc, nami's character arc, and various other arcs that fill in the gaps of the one piece filler arcs: ive watched them all and lemme tell ya....im still not satisfied XD the final arc NEEDS TO BE A GODDAMNED 2 PART 2 1/2 HOUR MOVIE EVENT!

Anime, I do enjoy monster, and I'm not talking about the energy drink, but however, a lot of people should check out, the following anime, lupin the third, shaman King, gunsmith cats, read or die, tiger mask w, superbook, if you can find it, because it's a very old anime. More anime is, dot Hack, spider riders, fist of the North sky, as much as I enjoy fist of the North Star, I feel, people should know about a bit more, is going to be, fist of the North sky, Sergeant frog, and Mobile suit Gundam: double zero, and mobile suit G Gundam. I also enjoy, s-cry-ed, redline, space dandy, and Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler.
Pokemon (along with Pokemon Horizons) can be fun for all ages when it comes to adventure, evil team arcs, and epic Pokemon battles

I'm suprised Saint Seiya (1986) didn't make the list; that anime was SO, SO influential and it really shows in many popular anime like Demon Slayer (calling out attacks, occasional talks mid-battle, 6 upper moons = 12 Gold Saints?)
I love the description you’ve created for the plot, they are like teasers but not spoilers👏🏻, the videos however have some really big spoilers, although I understand that it’s a hard job, but maybe next time it would be better to include moments just from the first season of the anime? AoT and Jujutsu had some late ones at least ..
Hellsing ultimate to this day is still one of my favourite anime. You've got the ultimate monster in Dracula or alucard hunting other monsters including nazi vampires. It's fucking nuts in the best possible way and at only 10 episodes it's a relatively easy watch as well.
It's so hard to pick the best 30 out of the insane amount of good options.
Everyone need to watch Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014) at least once or again to celebrate its 10 Year Anniversary this year.

I'm surprised that my favorite anime, Re:Zero, is not included on this list. In my opinion, it contains the greatest use of character development in all of anime.
Ok, so I'm fairly new to anime. I've watched most of Dragon Ball(currently in the Univese 6 saga), and for the most part, it's been great, albeit I do find myself taking breaks after a couple of episodes. I've completed the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood animation, and it was excellent and I've watched Solo Leveling, and I love that. Last but not least, there is death note, and to be honest I was having a blast with it until I got to the 6th or 7th episode, and I was so emotionally invested in a particular character and I had hoped that we'd see more of what this character could have done for the show, however things happend and I can no longer watch it. So, with all of my prior experience with anime, I'm now looking for a new one to keep me entertained.

The fact that my favorites Apothecary Diaries, Naruto, Spy x Family, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime were not on this list is starting to make me lose confidence in my tastes in anime.
Don't lose confidence in your taste. Those are very popular animes as well. This is just one guys list of what he thinks everyone should watch. I honestly think devil is a part timer and tenchi should be on here.
Dragon Ball (og series) was what I started my boys with and they've seen everything but the movies that I can't find in dub (they're still learning to read and can't keep up with the subtitle yet).

Cowboy Bebop has gotten old enough where its impact can understandably be not felt. Heck, it's fair to even say it's "overrated", now. I see that opinion pop up a lot more as people grow up with different, more "modern" anime. But you know you've made it when you become the anime community's shorthand for something being "good" or a "solid series".

If it were me, I would've put Kill la Kill on this list instead of Gurren Lagan; I enjoyed *both* , but the threat Kill la Kills conflict revolves around, the Life Fibers, feel much more like a *real* threat than the Spiral Gurren Lagans revolves around because the effects the Life Fibers have on humans in the anime are the same ones clothing has been demonstrated to have on them in the *real* world, which made me feel like I had an actual *stake* in the conflict; that was obviously the point, as Kill la Kills message is that our being conditioned to cover up with clothes at all times and feel shame towards our naked bodies is a form of *tyranny* that we need to fight back against by embracing our naked bodies *without* shame; & it delivers it *beautifully* , proving that fanservice is not only not inherently harmful to a story, but can actually be a big *part* , of a really *good* one! Throw in the fact that it's English dub is actually faithful to the original Japanese script in literally *every* way, & Kill la Kill is *definitely* an anime everyone should watch!

This channel has a love for Evangelion that I feel is unfounded and overblown. The series certainly has a following, but to rank it this high is insane to me. Seriously, it's at a level where I wonder if you're getting a kick back to advertise the show - no one I know has ever ranked it above Brotherhood, much less shows like Haikyuu!! or Samurai Champloo that are much higher quality yet somehow failed to even receive a mention here
