i have two possible solutions for your issue : 1. put magnets in the dome which align with the ones in the visor assembly 2 attach the back of the visor assembly to the dome and have the front slot in to them connect with the magnets
I personally would do a sanding on the raw plastic first to knock down the biggest lines, then follow it up with a primer coat to show any imperfections and then maybe bondo and more sanding. Its a lot more efficient on primer and bondo supplies but then again maybe im ignorant to how difficult it is to sand pla
It does look like a nice area where u live. It looks a little like the Netherlands. I can imagine buying one of those houses & being told it's a lovely quiet area but there's one bloke that dresses as a stormtrooper so don't be alarmed if you see any stormtroopers.
Oh wow, you’ve since updated the file. In its current state, it’s way better and easier to assemble than this. Dome and backplate are a single piece, slopped perfectly with a step on each inner side, to lock the faceplate into, for easy alignment. For those wondering. There was so much room on the one I printed, I had to drop it down to 90% and I have a massive 24.5in noggin. Now it fits my head perfect like a captain America helmet. So again, for those who don’t know, the STL on Galactic Armory has long since been updated and no longer requires magnets to put on. It’s a legit bucket
Is the 3D file for this avaliable on the GA Pateron? Can only find it as a DIY on the GA site and wanted to use it for my first clone armour as its my favourite design
This helmet looks so bad ass! Evil almost :D Great work Aaron! PS. I thought, that maybe adding some "sand dirt" could also look nice with some brown / sandy looking paint? Lighter and darker in some places, and maybe some "sand freckles", to resemble actual grains of sand sticking to it : ) Like the sand troopers had in the iconic "move along" scene :D PS.2 I commented too soon xD You actually mentioned that later in the video xD
Hi man, i´m a 19 old spanish guy who wants to start doing this kind of stuff like you,and i'm looking for my first 3D printer. Two of the best on the market are the Ender 3 and the CR10s (i think you have that one). Would you recommend me one of those to do the helmets, blasters and other pieces? Thanks buddy, i love so much what you do :)
