    Two things I would like to point out
    1. I don’t know why people think All of a sudden I switched up on the star platinum versus King Crimson in that video, I stated if you high balled KC speed feats and gave him a good ap feat he would win,(or make them even with some high balled stats) the entire purpose of the most terrifying stands is to hype them up so I did that lol I didn’t switch up star platinum still kicking ass

    King Crimson might be even more terrifying if you already know its ability.
    Before knowing it, Team Bucciarati was not understanding what was happening. However, after knowing it and every time time skipped, all of them freaked out as they knew that Diavolo had done *something* but they didn't know what.

    I love the theory that King Crimson is actually Doppio’s Stand, and Epitaph is Diavolo’s.
    In JoJo, Stand’s powers often indicate an aspect of the user’s life and personality (Like how Hermit Purple’s ability is divination much like Joseph’s ability to predict other people’s lines, or Moody Blues being able to rewind back, in reference to Abbacchio’s obsession with his past, for example)
    King Crimson’s “Time skip” could be a reference on how Doppio forgets what happened when Diavolo uses his body. Time pretty much skips for himself when Diavolo takes over.
    Epitaph, on the other hand, is able to predict perfectly what’s going to happen, in reference to Diavolo’s obsession with controlling fate and his belief that he has been “Chosen” by it.

    I'd like to vote Jailhouse Lock for one of the most terrifying stands for several reasons:
    > It's in your walls, literally
    > Partial/selective amnesia is an absolute mindfuck since you know you're forgetting things but can't stop it, even forgetting that you're forgetting things. You can get trapped in loops and be unable to stop because you forget what triggered you go in circles in the first place (and it doesn't help that the user will try to force this to happen). The anime shows this can completely destroy how you perceive the world around you, since from your perspective objects and people will seemingly vanish from existence as you forget about them. Imagine if Jolyne had been attacked in a crowded area with too much stimuli, she'd be a goner.

    A couple of things:
    1. Doppio would have Dissociative Identity Disorder, not Schizophrenia. DID is multiple personalities; schizophrenia is more like hallucinations and extreme paranoia, though there are several different types including catatonic like states.
    2. A schizoid, from Schizoid Personality Disorder, is someone that avoids social situations and interacting with others. In this case, still absolutely a reference to Diavolo, but in a different context than what most people think.

    Actually you missed an ability for Epitaph, it also had the ability to project fate onto others as shown when Buccaratti saw himself behind the pillar where he would than move without knowing it right into Diavolo’s hands. The ability itself is not very useful but nonetheless it still can show others their fate. Not to mention the fate it “projects” seems to be a thing that can be touched such as Buccaratti attacked his own fate and not realizing it was him until he saw it

      @demi-femme4821 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      This isn't another ability so much as just a different way of using it. Epitaph saw Bruno being there, which he was, and then it showed him being there.
      Remember when it showed Risotto's foot?

    • @lordbiscuitthetossable5352
      @lordbiscuitthetossable5352 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Well that’s the thing. King Crimson can’t usually act within skipped time, but actions he had predicted through Epitaph will happen anyway, regardless if he actually had involvement.
      Like he predicted that he would lift Narncia and impale him. So he skipped time, fate lifted and killed the Kid as that’s what King Crimson would’ve done, and time resumed, allowing him to commit the action while omitting himself as the cause.
      Epitaph and King Crimson is a unbelievably pair of broken abilities when working together. Edit: the only “downside” is that Eptiaph is uncontrollable by its nature, it offers absolute predictions that King Crimson can largely ignore the downsides of.

      @@thinkublu I know this might be over-analyzing, but... What do you say about Diavolo's clothes, then? They're not a part of him, neither would any weapon he wielded. Yet it moves seamlessly with him in erased time, and he interacted with it in erased time (see also: Diavolo reveal), so it's pretty clear he can remove things from his person in erased time as long as it was on him before.
      And then what happens if he erases time with someone he has grappled?
      I do also note of the two times he uses his blood to blind people in erased time, Polnareff being the only one really affected, we didn't really get to see the result of that, and at least in the anime adaptation his eyes are wide open not shut as if stung by it, so... It is possible to rule that he can't interact with people at all in erased time, even though Diavolo is CONVINCED the blood is working.

    I used to think KC worked the way METAs describes in this video. I kinda didn't get it until I got it. I realize now that it works exactly like it was described.
    He really does erase time. That void we see him move through is literally the hole where time used to be. If you were to take a time machine back to that exact point in spacetime, you would find that same void, still there. It's a physical hole in the 4th dimension.
    This is why GER's ability had to be reset to zero instead of rewinding time. Reversing time would just take you back over the hole. GER operates on a higher level and reverses the very act of making the hole in the first place.
    The reason people have no memory of what happened during the erased time is very simple. It didn't happen to them; it happened to the version of them that got erased.
    We know that people continue existing even after a previous version of them was erased. We see it happen to Bruno in that first fight. After Bruno punches the pillar, he sees his future self. Then the past Bruno, the one that punches the pillar, vanishes. This leaves future Bruno, the one that got punched, as the only Bruno left. The last thing he remembered was punching the pillar.
    Here is what I think was supposed to happen, had time not been erased.
    1. Bruno punches the pillar.
    2. Bruno sees that no one is there, and moves around to the other side of the pillar to see where The Boss went.
    3. Bruno is now standing, looking at the pillar, very confused by this whole event.
    KC erased Step 2 of the above sequence of events. The reason Bruno from Step 1 disappears is because his time is up, and Bruno 2 takes over. Except there is no Bruno 2, because he got erased.
    This explains why Diavolo can't interact with anything while moving through erased time. It's not that he is intangible; everything else is intangible because it doesn't exist. The people he is looking at are just projections of what would have happened had time not been erased. As for why he seems able to cut Trish's arm off. She was destined to have her arm cut off and be lifted out of the elevator. Fate physically lifted her out of that elevator for Diavolo.
    Another example. Diavolo vs Metallica. The destined outcome was that both Diavolo and Risotto got shot. Diavolo erased the part where he and Risotto got shot. This erased Aerosmith's bullets too. We then see Risotto's face dimple, and bullet holes appear FOR NO REASON! That's crazy, right?! Fate shot Risotto in the face without using bullets.
    I'm currently looking at the panels from Bruno's fight with KC while typing this. It happened exactly the way I described. I'm open to being told why I'm wrong, but this covers everything we see KC do, even the stuff people say to ignore because "Araki changed his mind".

    What gets even more interesting is that when Diavolo talks, King Crimson is the one talking. In the introduction with Bucciarati, when he kills the fortune teller, and during Silver Chariot Requiem's Rampage where he possessed Mista's body with Trish; he was the one doing the talking for the most part. The split personality was made worse by the Stand because King Crimson became the second personality incarnate.

    Confusion regarding Doppio and King crimson’s ability and the mystery around them is mostly due to poor translation. Epitaph is able to see 10 seconds into the future, and what is read is destined to happen. King Crimsone does NOT skip time. King Crimson allows for Diavolo to EXEMPT himself from fate so he doesn’t have to actually do it for it to happen, hence how Narancia got impaled despite Diavolo not being able to interact with anything within time erase.

  • @Aj-py8en
    @Aj-py8en ปีที่แล้ว +20

    Time Erasure is hands down one of the best stand ability in the verse pre-universe reset.
    The only thing that comes close to countering it (bar GER) are Made in Heaven since that ability directly nerfs the duration and range of Foresight and Time Erasure.
    It is almost a direct counter to all the broken stand abilities we see in JoJo, being able to completely negate the effect of any attack, free repositioning for 10 seconds, free blinding (throwing blood), unable to be surprised (epitaph and paranoid user), all while still allowing fated attacks to cause their effects. This isn't even mentioning the disorientation of losing up to 10 seconds of your memory (12-19 with time stop lol).
    The only thing holding it back in the verse is the relative strength of Diavolo and King Crimson compared to heavy hitters like Dio or Star Platinum. There is the tiniest moment to attack once Time Erasure ends but even then he could just use the ability again with almost no cooldown.
    Considering all the factors, including personality Diavolo is second only to Made in Heaven and that's only because of its Time Acceleration. Its universe reset does nothing since Time Erasure exempts Diavolo from all the effects of fate.
    Even against Love Train and WoU the exemption from fate could bypass their calamity focused defenses.

      On the assumption that KC straight up erases time, I imagine a fight against a TS user goes like this
      1. Monologue (from whichever character, it really doesn't matter, TS users love monologues)
      2. KC uses epitaph to witness his fate against the user
      3. The user attempts to barrage him, and then proceeds to stop time during the barrage
      -> This means he sees himself go flying into the air after the 10 seconds
      4. Time is erased
      5. The TS User stops time at any point during time erase
      6. Time erase only lasts 10 seconds, so if the user stops time long enough, the displaced time will only amount to 10 seconds minus the length of the time stop
      7. Both users will be confused as to why their abilities screwed up
      Alternately, the TS user might just do a bunch of positioning, and then realise their enemy isn't in front of them, and Diavolo would also do the same positioning, while being incapable of perceiving stopped time, resulting in the actions of the TS user being nullified

    • @haelstrom101
      @haelstrom101 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Diavolo will still see the result of the time stop, he just won't perceive the actions the TS user took during time stop, only them moving at infinite speed for one of the erased seconds during time erasure

    hey METAs, as a fan of king crimson (the band), I must appreciate the fact that you put 1 and 1 together on the Moonchild and Trish reference. I know of one other reference to the band King Crimson that is so hidden, I'm not even sure that Araki was aware of it when writing King Crimson's ability.
    In 1992, King Crimson released a live album called _The Great Deceiver,_ and one of the songs in it is called The Law of Maximum Distress, and one big quirk about this song is that when the band went back and listened to their concert recording of that song, a few minutes of the tape in the middle of the song was missing. So when they put that song in the album, it was divided into Part 1 and Part 2, so that about 4 minutes of the song that was supposed to be in between those two parts is skipped. If Araki had bought and listened to this album on CD, it's likely what inspired him to implement King Crimson's ability to skip time, just like how that song skipped midway through. This album came out when DiU was being written, so it's a completely plausable theory.
    Haven't heard anyone else bring up that fact before, but not many people have heard of King Crimson besides the first album.

    Diavolo does 100% erase time. If he was erasing perception, then he would be able to attack and injure them. Since he is unable to attack, and all the stuff around him goes through him, he is actually erasing the time. That is also why you would not be able to just rewind the time, you would have to return his action to 0.

    I'd like to point out the best explanation that I've heard of King Crimson's abilities, but said in a way I understand best, that hopefully makes sense to you.
    King Crimson's ability is not to manipulate time, but to manipulate Fate. Specifically, the user's Fate. To clarify, it's ability isn't to erase time, that is simply the medium by which it's ability to manipulate the user's Fate is conducted through. So while it *does* indirectly cause it to manipulate time, that time manipulation isn't it's intention, more of the way by which it allows the user to manipulate their own Fate. However, the user can only change *their own* Fate, and not the Fate of other people/things. Thia is why only he can do anything during erased time. He is not held down by Fate, but everyone else moves according to Fate. This affects objects as well, such as a rock or a metal pole. It's also why he cannot interact with anyone/thing during erased time, as that would change their Fate.
    The perfect example in the series to show this is Narancia's death. If Diavolo was simply skipping time, yet can't interact with anything, then how did Narancia get impaled on the metal bars during erased time? Simply, because Fate pulled him there. Fate, in JoJo, is connected heavily to gravity, as is further elaborated on in Stone Ocean. Fate is a gravitational force that pulls everyone and everything along a predetermined path.
    Narancia's Fate was to be lifted onto the broken metal bars and impaled on them. The metal bars' Fates were to be torn out and have Narancia impaled on them, and Diavolo's Fate was to break the bars and impale Narancia on them. So Diavolo erased that time, allowing him to do nothing and change his Fate. However, the bars' and Narancia's Fates could not be changed, and so they were pulled along their predetermined path by Fate itself during the erased time.
    Hope this cleared up any misconceptions about the epic stand that is King Crimson, and helps you understand what makes it both super cool, and incredibly true to the themes of Fate in Vento Aureo.

    For Diavolo/King Crimson I do believe you left out a few things when it comes to scaling. One that part 3 Polnareff deflected the sun stands attack which can be calculated from town to mountain level and Diavolo destroyed an even stronger Polnareff. Two during the rematch of Diavolo and Polnareff, Diavolo states that Polnareff got stronger since their last encounter and he still beat him. Three Polnareff believes that no one can beat Diavolo without the stand arrow, so Polnareff believes that even someone like Jotaro would need the stand arrow to beat Diavolo. And four Diavolo did survive a barrage of attacks from GER so his durability has to be stupid insane.
    This was a pretty good video, but I feel like people sleep on Diavolo/King Crimson when it comes to the power scaling department.

    • @Timebomb_19
      @Timebomb_19 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      2. Diavolo doesn’t state that polnareff has become stronger, in fact he knows that he’s become weaker. He mocks polnareff for his physical state, but then compliments him when he realises that silver chariot hasn’t lost any of its speed, despite his situation.
      3. Polnareff says to the gang “the only way to defeat Diavolo is with this arrow.” Now while yes this could be interpreted as “literally nothing can beat him… unless you use this arrow.” I think it’s more along the lines of “none of YOU can beat him, through trickery or force. You have to use this arrow and match him in power.”
      4. I don’t think Diavolo survives GER’s barrage. I think that that was actually his first death. Or, GER purposefully chose not to hit him hard enough to kill him, because it knew that he was finished either way.

    • @GrimmHunterSaiyan
      @GrimmHunterSaiyan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Timebomb_19 Thanks for responding. For my second point, it is a bit of a strange moment since yes Polnareff is in a crippled state but Silver Chariot didn’t lose any sort of strength or speed and how strong a stand is is also linked to the user’s strength, like how Jotaro got weaker after his fight with Dio so his time stop also weakened.
      For my third point, I guess we can agree to disagree since it can be interpreted multiple different ways.
      And for my fourth point, Diavolo also used Epitaph and saw the future, which are 100% correct and it showed Kind Crimson punching through GER, but it’s ability made it so Diavolo couldn’t reach that truth, which means King Crimson could have the attack potency to punch through GER.
      I do agree using GER for King Crimson scaling sounds very weird, so I don’t blame anyone for not using that kind of scaling, but that is where you can put Diavolo if you give him absolutely everything he has shown in the anime/manga.

    Idk if that's just me, but I've rooted for Diavolo and not the gang during the final fight. The whole 1v5 situation, the smarts and the level of desparation in Diavolo's actions made him a somewhat likable underdog and definitely not a looming threat you want to be eliminated. Hell, even if not win, I wanted him to have been defeated in a non-bs manner, like the gang check-mating him to the level even his 10 seconds pre-cognition doesn't solve the situation he finds himself in and therefore he can't skip over his death. Personally for me, the Arrow finding him "unworthy" just to end up in the hands of Giorno and give him the most broken stand seen in the series so far felt like total bs and a really forced ending to otherwise outstanding season of anime

    • @Timebomb_19
      @Timebomb_19 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The “unworthy” stuff isn’t true. KC couldn’t grasp the arrow because Requiem was being destroyed by Bruno, and everyone’s souls was returning to their bodies, including KC itself.
      While there are numerous theories on what the arrows, or more specifically the virus, are attracted to, I think it’s safe to say that if diavolo pierced himself with that arrow, he would’ve gained king crimson requiem.

    This isn't an explicit reference but I can't help but think of the second song in Court of the Crimson King, I Talk to the Wind when thinking about Doppio, specifically during his death
    The lines _"I'm on the outside looking inside. What do I see? Much confusion, disillusion, All around me"_ encapsulate his position during the Chariot Requiem arc. He was stuck on the outside in Bucciarati's body looking on at the group in a state of chaos and confusion which would also extend to everywhere around them soon enough.
    And as Doppio dies, the lyrics I talk to the wind _"I talk to the wind. My words are all carried away. I talk to the wind. The wind does not hear. The wind cannot hear"_ portrays what he's thinking. Diavolo is the wind he's trying to talk to, but he can't hear him and his words don't reach anyone but the empty air around him. It could also portray an outside observer watching Doppio talk to the Boss on his various phones, seemingly talking to himself
    I really wonder how much of King Crimson's discography Araki was thinking of when designing the characters

    Something to point out, is every single Jojo villain gets a power up at one point or another in the series.... Except Diavolo. King Crimson's ability is so powerful that Araki had to give the most broken, Deus-Ex-Machina-levels of powerup in Jojo history to the main character for the crew to stand a chance.
    Dio, Kars, DIO again, Kira, Pucci, Funny Valentine, even Wonder of U learn or obtain new power to defeat the protagonists... But Diavolo just gets King Crimson, and Epitaph. That's it.

    My hot take on King Crimson is that it isn't a time ability at all, or only in so far that it can last for up to 10 seconds.
    What it really does is
    1) delete everyone else's perception of time
    2) see a premonition of their fated actions during that time and
    3) act on the knowledge of those fated actions.
    The "deleted time" still occurs as it normally would.
    King Crimson instead has limited control of fate which honestly is even more terrifying then stopping time.
    Only thing more scary would be an ability that manipulates both time and fate.

    Peanut's comments on the GER video and Decard's on this one inspired me to think more about Stand abilities, and now I have a bunch of questions on how SPTW vs KC would work, I haven't come to any conclusions yet, so don't expect any answers from this,
    These are ideas for future me to come back to.
    If KC's Time Erase (KCTE) literally erases time, perception/free will, and makes Diavolo unbounded to Fate, what would happen if SP's The World (SPTW) activated during the erasure?
    I'm trying to get a definite understanding of how SPTW works. Does it stop universal time for 2-5 IRL seconds, or does it stop an instant in time for the equivalent of 2-5 seconds.
    Basically what I'm asking is, is everything stopped for an actual 5 seconds, or is 5 seconds of stopped time compressed into a single moment?
    Based on whichever definition of SPTW is true, I wonder what Epitaph would see, and if KCTE could theoretically have a portion to half of his usable erasure be reduced to nothing.
    Does KC's and SPTW's abilities flow on the same plane of universal manipulation, or is one above the other and therefore takes "priority"?
    Edit: some other ideas I came up with,
    Since Diavolo is being "severed" from his fate during KCTE, would any attack that lands from Tusk Act 4, WoU, and S&W:GB be able to damage him?
    Could Diavolo bypass D4C:LT's defense by becoming intangible during KCTE?
    If Diavolo dies in a previous loop of BTD, could Diavolo bypass his fated death by using KCTE, and if so, what would happen afterwords?

      The World exists on a basic, linear level of time, that is able to be joined in on and dropped out of at any point in the infinitely small, but still linear, section of the timeline. Effectively, minus the perception and momentum elements, you're just moving infinitely fast for an infinitely small amount of time. We know this, not just from the dio vs jotaro fight, but from its interactions with 4d and higher gravity stands like Made in Heaven, C-moon, and Tusk act 4. So I think it's pretty safe to say that timestop would definitely extend the effective-duration of timeskip, not subtract from it. (Although, obviously, from diavolo's perspective, the duration would still feel like 10 seconds either way, but you know what I mean.)
      As we see with GER's laser, even if there is a fate stand that interferes with epitaph, Diavolo can still at least predict his own injuries. And Tusk's main weakness is that yeah, it may be able to damage anything in any dimension infinitely, but it first has to be intentionally aimed by a person who is still bound by fate, which is why tusk wouldn't be able to beat WOU, but go beyond can. So I think he would be able to predict, skip, and dodge tusk act 4, but not phase through it.
      He probably wouldn't be able to predict go beyond's bubble, but he would be able to predict the injuries he gets from it and then skip so that he's nowhere near where his prediction self is gonna get injured.
      BUT, this is a big one: If two go beyond shots get shot out, one that hits him in the prediction, and one that misses, then Diavolo might dodge into the path of the missed shot. And despite how unlikely that would be, Josuke seems to have fate on his side, so I have no doubt it would happen, given how much of a grudge Fate has against Diavolo and KC. And Go beyond would definitely be able to hurt him, since it also doesn't exist.
      VS WOU, it's a losing stalemate. Neither of them can prevent eachother from doing anything, until diavolo attacks, whereupon he'll lose.
      Everything that exists is part of WOU's logic, but Diavolo does not exist during timeskip, so as long as there isn't a thousand calamities happening per second, everywhere at once, for more than ten seconds at a time, he would be able to predict every calamity and skip them (the rain might pose a challenge, but it's still avoidable) . Calamity would not be able to reach him during skips. But Diavolo will still never be able to attack WOU in any way without dying, since even if he spams it, he'll still have to exist for an indefinitely small, but still non-zero amount of time if he wants to damage WOU, during which he'll be killed instantly by calamity. He could predict this, skip it, and try again, but will be met with the same problem over and over until he gives up or dies. These deaths will probably be via some crazy method though, since physical harm won't be able to reach him. But if fate was able to send the arrow and GER, then I have no doubt that WOU can figure out a way to do something similar and summon someone or something that can kill him.
      If Diavolo tried to skip BTD, i think he would get permanently left behind in his own alternate timeline while everyone else would get reset into the next timeline, and 1 hour into the past.
      EDIT: KC vs Love train makes my brain hurt but you know what makes it hurt more? KC vs Green Green Grass of Home. Or now that I think about it, Green Green Grass of Home vs The Hand. These would make for great METAS videos.

    On the subject of timestop vs timeskip:
    The World has a short cooldown that jotaro abuses in the DIO fight, whereas KC seems to have infinitesimal or no cooldown, being able to skip twice without giving silver chariot a chance to attack in between, and skip three times within the timespan of a gun firing and the bullet landing, meaning It will always be available to skip every timestop.
    Furthermore, timestop technically lasts 0 seconds, meaning it wouldn't take any time off of timeskip, and would actually EXTEND KC's effective duration. Once it ends, Jotaro would have no idea he was on cooldown, which would cause him to overextend. Funnily enough, this anti-synergy means almost any other stand would be better against KC, even pre-timestop star platinum!
    It doesn't matter if Diavolo gets frozen in place during timestop, since he will have already moved away from where he'll insta-die in the prediction, long before timestop starts. Jotaro will just punch thin air whether Diavolo is frozen in time or not. Hell, Diavolo already just stands there watching you during skips anyway.
    Also people seem to forget that whitesnake was able to land a blow just by forcing jotaro to spend timestop and a few punches, while attacking from behind. King Crimson could replicate that just by using timeskip, without even any complex strategy on top of that. And keep in mind, this was with Jotaro fully aware of the threat, which would not be the case vs King Crimson. Not to mention, the Ratt fight shows us that Jotaro still doesn't have eyes on the back of his head. He can't use timestop in time if he doesn't see the attack in time.
    And that's not even taking into account that Diavolo can blind jotaro with his blood during a timeskip.
    If we're talking vampiric DIO specifically, all Diavlolo has to do is destroy DIO's brain or stand and then wait for sunrise like Jotaro did, which should be trivial.

      @NotPork I certainly agree that Diavolo can utilize many tactics that would be helpful in a fight against SP/TW, but I don’t think that King Crimson can skip the timestop itself, even if it has no cool-down. When Jotaro/Dio freezes time, they are the only ones who can perceive it and interact within the frozen time. No one else can perceive this frozen time, and the affects of what Jotaro/Dio do while time is frozen only occur once time starts moving again. Just like how time doesn’t exist for anyone else when Diavolo skips time, the frozen time in which Jotaro and Dio move doesn’t actually exist. Because of this, just as how Jotaro or Dio can’t stop time while it is being skipped, Diavolo can’t skip frozen time because it doesn’t exist for him. At least that’s my interpretation of how Star Platinum and The World work and the technicalities of timestop.

    Multiple personality isn't as same as schizophrenia, both are completely different psychiatric disorders. Multiple personality disorder is one where Doppio existed within Diavolo, and used as a facade of a loyal and trustworthy subordinate in Passione.
    Schizophrenia is the order where you suffer from delusions, it can manifest in many forms, in Diavolo's case it's paranoid schizophrenia. Doppio 's delusion of assuming any random object as a functional telephone is one of the symptoms.
    21st century schizoid man is reference to Diavolo's paranoid delusion to eradicate anything that can give away his identity or his past.

    Its very interesting to think how Diavolo would be if he had The World instead of King Crimson. Then only reason the crusaders had a chance against DIO is because DIO loves to toy with his enemies, even doing so when he could very easily go for the kill. Diavolo is way more savage, the only reason he doesn't kill his enemies while skipped time is because he literally can't do it. The world has no such limitation, so if Diavolo had something that powerfull on his side he could be literally unstopabble.

The only reason the gang had a fighting chance against KC is because polnareff survived and figured out how KC worked and told everyone, and with that knowledge you can at least try to fight against Diavolo. However if you know that TW can stop time there is very little to nothing you can do to avoid getting killed other than moving in stopped time yourself. Polnareff could had won if he knew the ability of KC, or in their second encounter if he wasn't crippled.
      But Joseph for example still died to TW even knowing its power, he just didn't had a hole in his chest because the user had a weakness to hamon but in diavolo's case Joseph would be destroyed the same way kakyoin was.

    I feel like another terrifying stand to talk about should be risotto nero's metallica. The concept alone is an absolutely horrifying idea, imagining razor blades appearing from under your skin or in your throat, cutting you instantly. But more than that, its an absolute win against defensive stands. Stands like white album, oasis, or even crazy diamond, would be demolished by this thing. This is because of its ability to attack the stand user directly, bypassing their own stand's ability to defend. This alone beats most stands, with notable exceptions being king crimson and sticky fingers who can just turn off the attack (sticky fingers by just unzipping where the razors are).
    But what we dont see is what risotto could do in a proper environment. Imagine him creating nails and nailing a door shut, or creating a spiked surface to shove you into. His ability allows him to also create metal objects, such as when he created scalpels underneath doppio. The options when you factor this in are insane, and should have made metalica an a-tier in power.

    To better explain how KC works: Epitaph lets the user see 10 seconds into the future. This future is 100% going to happen no matter what. And time erasure lets the user exclude himself from these 10 seconds, meaning if Diavolo saw in epitaph that he threw a pebble and then he time erased, the pebble would move on its own to the fated destination, and Diavolo would be able to stay hidden. Along with this, everyone's perception is paused during this 10 second window which results in the "time skip" effect. This is exactly what happened with Narancia being impaled. This explanation accounts for every possibility, not just "cant get hurt" and other such qualities, that is just a result of excluding himself from fate.
