- Eskom has reached 100 consecutive days without loadshedding, signalling a marked improvement in electricity generation and financial performance, this is being touted as a milestone that reflects the enhanced reliability and performance of the power utility's generation fleet.
Energy analyst, Chris Yelland warns that there could still be bouts of intermittent loadshedding on the cards.

It is mostly commendable that Chris Yelland gives credit to the President and the Minister of Electricity for an improvement in the power supply.
Thank you DeRuyter for your maintenance plan eventually paying off and the ANC taking a break from corruption and sabotage.
Nonsense. DeRuyter failed dismally.
THIS is a cause for celebration?
Why are we celebrating mediocrity?
Another factor: those who were "eating" were told to stop with the election coming.
I agree eskom is doing great work there is no more loadsheding
At what cost??? Who are paying for the fuel used by ESKOM??? What about the contribution by private sector with their investment in solar??? The consumer are taxed above what they can afford and are paying for the mistakes of the ANC apartheids movement!!!
I can remember we had no loadshedding for two years than latter it came back 😂
Worst of all.they implementing power cuts on the people paying for there power.and these that don't pay have less power cutts.
Load shedding isn't going anywhere...Must enjoy your dependency on these empty promise makers. You will have no money no electricity and in the next 20 years they will be making your lives even more miserable. Enjoy, people of South Africa
What about the “load reduction” experienced so frequently in the past few weeks in Johannesburg areas? Is it worth celebrating when you just change the semantics?
Also, not enough focus is placed on the impact of so many users having moved to solar power - as well as the maintenance and improvements undertaken during Andre de Ruyter’s tenure.
Thats a lie Johannesburg have a loadsheddind almost 4 to 5 days a week
Load reduction. It's your municipality that has a problem not Eskom.
There has been load shedding they jst not calling it that
Yes no load-shedding but there is load reduction same thing different name lol we are fools. We don't have electricity almost every other day.
Not the same thing.
@kusaselihlengubane8984 It is no electricity English. Its got yall messed up
@Questioning4u Loadshedding is when Eskom can't generate enough electricity. Load reduction is when your municipality can't provide you with electricity (Usually because they've stole all the money and people still vote for them). It's not that hard to understand.
@@kusaselihlengubane8984Then what is loadshadding again. Is it not the same this that eskom could not supply enough electricity
@@kusaselihlengubane8984 okay yah i see why people still vote ANC
All the water and resources you have but you still get power from my country and making us have crazy load shedding as well ah. Africa is just wack honestly. 😢
This is rubbish. In the Northern suburbs there breakdowns day in and day out.
Chris Yellend must just retire and disappear to an old aged home. I think he is looking for a position.
Joburgs problems aren't National.
