The school on the north side eof the property was actually pretty decent. Most tof the patient cruelty was pre war. Allot of vets with PTSD got sent here back when it was called shell shock, and war fatigue.
Still terrible. But you need to remember allot of parent with kids in spectrum didn't want them or could t handle them back then. Allot wouldn't take issue with the state taking care of them while they juggled the other 4-5 kids.
Much like children with epilepsy, like my daughter. Bible talks about ones with seizures, supposedly possessed by demons… Sad to see the misunderstanding of one’s health then…
Kids with somthing as minor as adhd depression would also be there it’s totally insane but also good to see we moving forward with mental illness

Omg your in CT! I'm born and raised and still living here. That hospital is no joke. My grandfather worked there for 20 years and had so many stories from that building. He was retired airforce and didn't believe in the paranormal until he worked here. My family has worked at many state hospitals and they all are so very haunted and creepy. We have some amazing haunted places in CT. You could do a beyond the dark series just in CT. I would love to just meet up with you all and just get a fist bump! Hopefully we will see more of haunted CT on your channels!
I just stumbled upon your channel today, and I haven’t left it. My parents even screamed at me for sitting in my room doing nothing bc of it. I already watched videos like your trip to Bran Castle in Romania, and your Catacombs video, and just finished your video from Malta at the hospital and at Poppyes park. Great content, I love how you give us explorers knowledge on the places you go rather then just showing content making it seem like a shitty wanna be found footage horror or something along the lines. If I was a ghost, I would be SO annoyed with that guy you brought with you. He keeps asking the same things over and over even after getting what he wants. Ghosts aren't a side-show. They are spirits.

No offense, but that guy Joe was asking way too complicated of questions, using words that many kids wouldn’t know. From your previous ghost hunting videos, basic straightforward questions work best to receive answers. But Josh and Seth, you guys are great, love your videos!

When spirits tell you to get out and you promise to leave, keep your promises Joe! Did you expect the answer to be different on the 5th try? I'm not singling you out but when I hear this on different channels then followed by we want to respect them, well, there is no respect unless you leave after the first get out message. I think they were exploited enough in life.......give them the respect most people never did. Might not be a popular opinion but I am pretty sure this is the right one. Thanks for letting me voice my thoughts.
I agree! Joe was disrespectful and rude to the spirits (CHILDREN) and was constantly yelling out every question he had. As if the spirits wont be able to hear him? Plain disrespectful and SO annoying.
I had the same thoughts. Usually they are good at leaving, but another 10 minutes of non stop questioning was rude. Especially when he goes ok last one and still keeps going. Get out followed by screams seems like they wanted them out.
Oh my gosh, after 15 minutes they are still saying we have to get out. You think? They told you all several times to get out. Sorry but it upsets me when they know they are talking to kids and are not respecting their wishes.

Hey guys , I love your show and I have been following Josh for many years. I would like to humbly give my one sugestion that would make your recording sessions better. When anyone asks a question, let there be a reasonable pause for reply. Questions that are asked back to back without pause do not give enough time to answer. Just a small break inbetween questions would be more natural in getting a response. Also, if one spirit is identified try and communicate with that specific spirit. Generalizing questions to whomever might make it connfusing to energies that are present. Just a friendly suggestion. Thanks fellas. Josh, your the bomb bro!

my bugbear is when the people, the YTexplorers, paranormal channels etc often go to places like asylums, that were often awful places and people were even sent to asylums and institutions for things such as being LGBTQ+, for having an affair, for women sometimes they were sent away for becoming pregnant 'out of wedlock' or for having a higher sex drive. Or a lower sex drive. Basically people were massively screwed over and locked away in asylums likely never to leave alive. It is an awful part of our cultural histories.
But so often when we see investigations at asylums and the like, if they get what appears to be 'an intelligent response' through any device or system they immediately start loudly exclaiming "That's CRAZY", "Oh my god that was insane", "this is mental" etc. And I just think if they actually believe they are communicating with these people who were subjected to awful abuses due to often spurious claims they were mentally unsound, could they perhaps choose their language a little more carefully?
We're likely horrible give my one solution and make your recording session before. When everyone asks questions let there be a responsible phrase to reply to the question that asked that they are asking back without a phrase did not give enough time to answer.

Hey Josh or whoever sees this. At time frame 23:08-23:09 when Josh says go to the basement and all hell will break loose. Well right when he is done saying loose. You can hear a ghostly or raspy voice say something. Sounds like they say hiiiiiii or something like that.

A good idea when speaking to child spirits is to try and talk to them as if they are alive and standing right in front of you, you will get way more activity

I agree with this point, I believe the lady at the start said something about children from the ages of 4-16 living here. A 4 year olds speech is slower then a grown adult so i would give more space in between questions. Also some of the children here might of had speech problems because of mental health issues and also past abuse. Maybe when speaking to children the guys could mention they are not here to hurt them. If they know the background and history of the location they would understand what type of people lived there so they could address them in the appropriate manner to the situation.

Lol I just remembered josh used to try to avoid or censor swear words but the ghost hunting is too intense he just lets them all through now 🤣 love it. Evidence wasn't as interesting this time until the EVPs at the end. I think y'all are right it's just scared/confused kids not sure what's going on, I don't think it was anything evil they just didn't want strangers in their basement lol. there's a place like this in birmingham al, it's a asylym for the criminally insane. it's got a main building, a hospital, and even a building where the cremated patients. patients were required to pick cotton in fields, farm their own food, they were required to be totally self sufficient. it's the darkest place I've ever experienced

My mom was raised in a orphanage, she told us stories of how they never had enough to eat. My mom, aunt and uncle would raid the dumpster behind Jack Benny's parents grocery store on the way to and from school just to get food.

Clear answers on the spirit box then waste of 45 mins on EVP box to get one clear answer. Love your vids. Constructive criticism. No reason to use 2 different boxes 3 different times after getting nothing on the first 2. Use your other gear that we know and love. Like ask questions with your new yes/no prism. Not one of my favorite episodes to say the least but much love and stay safe.

I have to say Joe is freakin hilarious with his New England accent lol!!!! He gets some phenomenal paranormal evidence but I do think he sometimes presses too many questions on the spirits in a session It was tiring me out just listening to him talk he must be exhausted after those evp sessions sometimes lol!!!
