  • Casper Meets Wendy is a 1998 direct-to-video family fantasy-comedy film directed by Sean McNamara and written by Jymn Magon. Produced by The Harvey Entertainment Company and distributed by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. Based on the Harvey Comics cartoon characters Casper the Friendly Ghost and Wendy the Good Little Witch. A sequel to Casper: A Spirited Beginning (1997), the second prequel to Casper (1995) and the third film of the Casper film series. The film stars Jeremy Foley as the voice of Casper the Friendly Ghost, Hilary Duff as Wendy the Good Little Witch, Cathy Moriarty as Gert, Shelley Duvall as Gabby, Teri Garr as Fanny, Jim Ward as the voice of Stretch, with Bill Farmer as the voice of Stinkie, Jess Harnell as the voice of Fatso, and George Hamilton as Desmond Spellman. The film received negative reviews from critics, but was considered an improvement to its predecessor. It cost a budget of $6.4 million and won the Children's Programming - Electronic Visual Effects award, Hilary Duff was nominated for a Young Artist Award.

    Calla it awduk yet this is STILL one of my fav Casper movies

    I don’t think it was an awful first film for her, but to be fair, the movie is not good. But I am with you that Hilary did her best in this, and tbh, I think she was a good choice for Wendy. But apart from Wendy and Casper, who honestly were the best parts of the whole movie imo,(obviously) none of the other characters in this movie were good and it felt like this movie ripped off movies like Hocus Pocus, Poltergeist, and Men In Black. And the CG was really bad.
    4/10 for me because Hilary tried, and it was a lot better than A Spirited Beginning.
