We love all British canal-related subjects, so your other videos have been appreciated, too but this seemed to have a joy about it and great videography / editing. Thank you so much. Whilst here, it would be interesting to have a video explaining your journey from South Africa to the canals of England and Wales. Not asking for any private / personal information per se, just an overview of how you made the somewhat unlikely transition - problems, advantages, disadvantages, etc. There have been and are other canal-boaters from abroad, of course and their journeys have been fascinating. Just an idea (could make it 2-3 videos! - howzat for ideas?) Thank you very much.

Yeah, you guys are near to where we live. So nice to see the parts of the cut we have walked down. We also took out a small hire boat for the day along this stretch of the Shroppie last week. It was soooo hot we did burn a little! Evening move are the way forward. All good practice for when we buy our own boat. Can't wait for summer days like this though!!

I love the names of the towns, sometimes you have to go all the way back to a time English had not even formed, even before the romans showed up for how to say the name.

Another good video, jobs a goodun. It’s a shame what’s going on in South Africa at the moment, I remember from my time in Johannesburg in 1982, what a beautiful city. I stayed at the then newly opened Holiday Inn in Sandton and I enjoyed every minute. Keep up the good work, god bless you guys, from Tom in Lancashire.

yep, the uk still has some really beautiful places left, tho it does seem like th ecanals are the last part struggling to hold on to traditional british life.
Yes, I guess we can’t keep and operate like we did in the past, rather appreciate it, preserve what we can and then move forward, but there is so so much value in keeping these waterways alive - we love it so so much🙏🏻
I was curious to find out why there seem to be such differences in South African accents so I googled the size and found out it's almost twice the size of Texas with the population concentrated in several different areas. Guess I can stop wondering!
You really shouldn't be holding the boat mid-stream unless waiting to go into a lock. Little as it is your prop still creates a wash and holding it one spot isn't good
