lerch400block Apparently when the guy was working at a seaside restaurant, they had forgotten to clean dishes and the gunk had caked onto them. So he got the bright idea to place them among the rocks hoping the saltwater would dissolve the gunk.
Well he went back inside, forgot about them, the tide came back... and you can probably guess where all the restaurant's dishes went.

Theres a legit video of it somewhere. This guy pretty much tells his life story about working as a cook by the beach and other stuff. I can't remember how to find it though. The real story is actually pretty good too.

He,'Risitas' ('Laughts'is his obvious nickname) went to work as scullion in a restaurant in Chipiona, in the beach in southern spainThe very first day ,the day befoer inauguration, he and the Cheff were cleaning all the kitchen because the restaurant wasn't opened in the winter.The Cheff ordered him to put 20 special pans for making paella (paelleras) in the sea water because they had too much rust and mildew to clean it without softening it a bit
'Risitas'took a rope and put them in the water in the night,because they have been working all day long.
But it happens that the tide was low
When the Chef sent him in the morning looking for the pans, the tide had rised.... The pans were all lost in the sea.
And that day was the inauguration.They had sacks of rice for Paellas,and no paelleras. They had to buy all that day and bring it from the capital city.
Some people on vacations found paelleras, time after, in weird places ,near the lighthouse, in the fishing harbour..etc
He just spent one day working in the restaurant,when he expected to work all the summer.
He had to pay all the pans, so it almost cost much more to him trying to work in the summer than being unemployed
It seems he has never eaten rice again,and hates the beach ..
