The Killing of Dreams, Story 4

This episode tells of my dismal time in college. My attempts to succeed, both in sports and movie making (the only two things I was ever good at) were met with spectacular failure, which became an ongoing theme for many years to come. Depression and suicidal thoughts were my daily companions. Simon & Garfunkel's fantastic song "The Sound of Silence" became my anthem. "Hello darkness my old friend; I've come to talk with you again..."
