Great video as usual. The nearest buffet near me that is the same quality as the fancy Vegas hotels charges about $130 and has a quarter of the choices. Buuuut...we do now have a Thai milk tea place here. Please tell Mrs. Explore Vegas that there is now a Cha TraMue here in the US and share her reaction😊.😊😊

Each year I say this one is the best Lunar New Year buffet and this year was not a disappointment👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 My Dad went crazy on the lobster.

Yes, try the regular dinner at Jasmine. My wife and I have eaten there three times and the food is outstanding. Obviously not a buffet, but an excellent selection.

OMG, that buffet looks far superior to the other one you reviewed the other vid... The differences are in the presentation, the layout, the focus on the main ingredients.... LOL, Mrs's Explorevegas's lobster plate was bigger than her head... The king crab looks sooo good... The abalone cake looked unique... YES, I'd eat the chicken feet, and the pork trotters... Pure fatty goodness... good for your collagen intake... bite off a joint, suck the skin off, spit the bone out... lol... Even the prime rib, and the LAMB looked great... The soup station was pretty good... The fav's of hot&sour, and congee/jook were musts... The house special soup looked like bak kut teh... good (but I miss the days of shark fin soup, and birds nest soup)... The duck looked acceptable, but a little lacking, guess LV can't do a duck right... sigh... Nice they had asian desserts, instead of the usual western cakes... Well worth the price at $118... You all need to really do a chinese NY banquet in Chinatown away from the strip... cheers...

We really enjoy your videos. I would like to plan a trip around the lunar new year buffet at jasmine next year. It looks so good . I know it's for the Chinese new year but how long is that buffet available . For example, this year. What period of time. Thanks
They usually offer it for two weekends, but this year only one because of the superbowl.

I'm getting Lobster pretty cheap here on East Coast I am also getting snow crab legs really cheap on the East Coast like $5.99 a pound but king crab leg is very expensive❤
The cheapest I can find king crab is $30 a pound.

Don't ever forget to load up on the lamb chops. They are one of the most expensive items there.......right up there with lobster and crab legs. GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH!

Very tough to get a reservation. We usually reserve right when they release which is about 5-6 weeks ahead.
does anyone know if the palms is still doing their monthly theme buffet nights in 2024?

They will take walk-ins if they are not booked. I highly recommend getting the reservation. They do this buffet 2 times a year. Once between Christmas and NYE and the other for Lunar New Year.

Congrats on your anniversary! The king crab buffets are only offered around the holidays and Lunar New Year, but we do have some buffets offering lobster and snow crab year round. Here’s what I would recommend in order.

Your prime rib would not be dry if you put some Au Jus on it or got a little soup cup of Au Jus and dipped it.🤔
For sure. I like to try it without sauce first to see how it tastes. With no Au Jus this prime rib was juicy and tasty. I’d have to add Au Jus in most other buffets.

It always gets me that chicken feet are the standard benchmark of 'would you eat it???' C'mon folks, it's essentially a chicken wing with a few extra bones...And quite delicious!
For a nation that also enjoys pig uterus, lamb's penis and chicken embryos, straight from the shell, I think the foot of a chicken sounds delicious!

Great video but are you nuts spending $120 on a buffet. People that spend this much must have money to burn.
We go to every buffet from the least expensive to the most expensive. Some think we’re crazy for going to the expensive ones and some think we’re crazy for going to the inexpensive ones. Our goal is to show folks all of them.
Do not have to be disrespectful regarding things you would personally not want to eat. I find it quite culturist/eliteist to be so clearly negative on the chicken feet - which is a VERY important part of Chinese Yum Cha-DimSum. If you are going to present an Asian restaurant - be respectful.
Be careful with that much food.
