Roadie reactor TankTheTech is touring manager for Electric Callboy, and he can assert that these guys are just as awsome in real life as they seem in their videos. He's on tour vlogging right now if you want to check it out. I guess Tekkno Train or their take on Every Time We Touch should be the next one. Or Pump It, the drummer has an interesting style there
I just love that they dress up for all the songs & as a 45 year old in the pit for the last time it was the best way to go out. My body is broken from 30+ years of it starting with Nirvana & ending with these guys
Hypa Hypa was the introduction of clean vocalist Nico Sallach after original lead singer Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler left early in 2020 to found his own project Ghostkid. They decided to make his first appearance as no holds barred over the top as possible (mission accomplished I guess). The dance crew at the end are a bunch of befriended youtubers/streamers/gamers. The guy in the dark curly wig and the glitter jacket is HandOfBlood (aka Hänno), back in 2017 he starred in their video for MC Thunder (one of their storytelling videos with the band not appearing or just in small cameos) and later in 2020 he returned for MC Thunder II - Dancing Like a Ninja (by the way, it's M C, not Mac). The front guy in the light blond wig is Kalle (aka Kalle Koschinsky), he appeared in MC Thunder II and in 2022 he starred in the video for Arrow of Love. In 2021, more or less as the result of a dare, they did a song together within one day (shot the video the very next day): Kalle Koschinsky feat. Electric Callboy - Castrop X Spandau. The title referrs to EC's hometown Castrop-Rauxel and Kalle's residence Spandau, which is a borough of Berlin. It was their first time doing a song fully in German. The music video is great fun (especially considering the whole thing was put together within 48 hours) but I'd recommend the "Live in Leipzig Quaterback Arena 2023" version.
You should look at their tour-vlogs (or the ones from tank the tech, who did tour managing for them) to see how much fun this guys have doing this stuff in front of a arena crowd going crazy.

The aesthetics of the video are impossible to really understand for people who know nothing about Germany in the 90s. Back in the late 80s and early 90s the German coal and steel industries went belly up and hundreds of thousands of working class dudes who had thought they would be working in those industries like their fathers and grandfathers had, found themselves without much perspective. That kind of created a whole generation of "peaked in high school"-type dudes who couldn't let go of their youth in the 80s and were still running around like that (mullets, handlebar mustaches aso.) till way into the 90s, long after that had stopped being fashionable. So in the 90s (when the guys in that band were kids) you had all those 30 to 40 year old, beer guzzling working class blokes hanging around techno rave parties and dance clubs, looking like time travelers from the 80s and trying to pick up chicks half their age. That is what this song and the video are making fun of and that is why it makes sense that the video mixes tropes from the 80s and 90s (Boy Band music, techno, aso.) and why the dudes look like from the 80s while the chick looks like a 90s raver girl. Ah and one other piece of explanation: The dancing people at the end of the video are a bunch of bigger German TH-camrs who are friends with the band.
Did you kow that there's seven more versions of that song and one of them is even harder than this. Also, strongly suggest you have a look at the texts of their songs, because the screamo guy is actually saying things.

That’s awesome!
Did you kow that there's seven more versions of that song and one of them is even harder than this. Also, strongly suggest you have a look at the texts of their songs, because the screamo guy is actually saying things.
