    I think the major reason why tfw is just 9% because large numbers of Lmia had be acquired by pgwp holders to raise their crs points or simply to extend their work permit

    We need to get rid of LMIA's!! Protect Canadian jobs! We need to be like the US and look after our own citizens!

    • @CanadianImmigrationInstitute
      @CanadianImmigrationInstitute  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Before an LMIA can be approved, the employer must demonstrate that they made significant efforts to hire Canadians and permanent residents and that those efforts were unsuccessful before the job can be offered to a foreign worker. When this program is administered correctly, and employers and their representatives approach the application process honestly and in good faith, this system has built-in safeguards to ensure Canadians are given the first chance at these jobs. The system breaks down when some actors are dishonest with their applications AND when the government does not crack down hard on these bad actors when they are discovered.

    • @gc4161
      @gc4161 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      We both know that this program can work given that Canadians tend to be a high trust society however the people not using it correctly come from low trust societies where is view as ok to cheat the system and fake any and all papers for their own gain …they even have a word for it …. LmIa should be use for super rare jobs that require extreme skills however you can’t tell me service industry is this kind.

      @@CanadianImmigrationInstitute here's a thought, maybe companies should raise the pay if they can't find Canadian workers. Companies are so quick to bring a foreign worker and suppress wages for Canadians. I'm sorry if I don't care about aliens because that's indeed true. These politicians are elected to represent Canadians and our best interests. There should be no need for McDonald's and KFC to hire workers through LMIA's. We need to be like the US and protect jobs for Canadians! Thankfully immigration sentiment has shifted completely in Canada and this gravy train looks like it will be coming to an end.

    • @enggguy
      @enggguy 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yes but LMIAs can be purchased on the black market for up to $50K. There is no reason for a Canadian Bussiness to run it profitably or with good Bussiness ethics as many Bussiness are moving as fronts for laundering lmia money which is far more lucrative.

      I do not recommend that people do this. There is a significant likelihood that a BSO at the border finds misrepresentation and sends the person home. I will do a video on this topic of FlagPoling. I recent did one for LPEN and it makes sense to discuss this as well given how popular it is becoming. There is definitely a right and wrong way to do this. The wrong way can lead to disaster.

    Unemployment is probably more than 10%. There is no such issue of lack of workers in Canada. They just dont want to pay decent salaries hence many people can't find jobs. This is mostly related to the mediocre monopoly based economy model, lack of competition and not enough incentive for entrepreneurs

    Great info but what happened with the new tourism stream in Alberta? The day was launched were nothing published in the Alberta website until midday, then suddenly 5 hours after the system said: there’s no room for anyone! How was this possible if there weren’t info and requierements published? It seems that Alberta took previous applicants (for general AAIP), fill the spots and noone can applied for itself. What happened?

      Applicants need to be eligible through one of the economic PR programs to enter the Express Entry pool.
      This includes the temporary foreign worker program, the Canadian experience class, and the federal skilled trades program. Once you’re eligible through one of those programs, then with the right French language scores this category based draw opens up. For most programs, at least one year of work experience required.
