That final result looked so beautiful it's almost a night and day difference from the somewhat goofy looking original head, and those new glass eyes are light years better too, really brings the figure to life
It's truly amazing to see Jurassic Fans complete imperfections in the Hammond collection line. I hope Mattel hires Marco and Syrett tech so they can make More amazing accurate Jurassic Park toys.
Thanks for making this! Not only did your Rex turn out amazing, but your walkthrough was very approachable to the point I used it as a guide to paint mine. With the colors/paints in the description being great matches too, it turned out far far better than I couldve hoped for. Between Marco's sculpt and you guide it really almost painted itself.
At this rate this T-Rex will be an example of The Paradox of Theseus' Ship

This is an outstanding and amazing job from Marco and you, no question of that, but I share the same opinion as others that there’s no point to buy an original HC rex and replace almost everything, maybe a better idea would be that Marco could model and print the ENTIRE perfected body, the whole thing, and offer it like a T-rex “production toy style” or T-rex “HC Mattel style” that would be nice and fun to assemble and paint, just my opinion

Ahí es donde se va la magia para muchos porque salen más caros de este lado del charco y no duran mucho en el stock de la Etsy Shop. ¿Mi recomendación? Disfruta de la figura tal y como está, no es lo peor del mundo como te lo quieren pintar. Con excepción de las patotas, es el Rex mejor proporcionado desarrollado por Mattel 😉 Y si lo quieres llevar a otro nivel con un repaint, solo ve los tutoriales que hay en este mismo canal

This head is designed for the Hammond Rex. It wouldn’t fit any other Rex from mattel as the pegs would be different

I just wonder if that brand will ever do the indominus rex, the spinosaurus, and all the other dinos.
This altered head is amazing. I will say though Mattel over the years with its different heads could have combined features of some other rexes to make a better head, though not equal to this one. The Epic roarin and stomp N Escape had the best teeth to me. The eyes of the Stomp N Escape was the best. The tongue of the HC and Epic Roarin is the best. The feet of the Epic Roarin and Stomp N Escape are both better than the HC for a tie. The HC length is the best. Body type and features go to the Red Rex. Yeah.

Wow looks amazing but I can't be the only one who thinks the glass eye looks too big and makes rexy look like a baby?
Yes. Syrettech and Marco had to modified the eyes a bit bigger to fit with rod's glass eyes. Marco said that people using it should use Epoxy to make the eyes slightly smaller. But most people don't do that. That makes the eyes look too big and kind of cartoony. I also don't like it when the eyes is too big like that.

While this is awesome and really good, I’m starting to feel that replacing the entire head feels like it might just be better to buy a new figure at that point

Unfortunately they dont have the head anymore 😕.
Kinda wish Marco and Syret sold the STL files, because this thing will sell out 5 minutes after every time it goes into stock.
They won’t though because people steal the files and sell them without permission.
Who here is having trouble putting their T. Rex head On there figures. I've tried aligning the pegs in the peg holes. But I won't fit on.

The head doesn’t match the body that well because.. it’s a million times better than the body. The body is so washed out.
Dude what. The body is good. It’s just the jaw articulation, the glass eye and the oversized feet that are bad
@@AtrociCollector honestly tho I find it baffling people went from praising this figure when it released, to suddenly treating it like it’s the ugliest thing ever because some minor details look off. I almost want hasbro to get the license back just to prove to these annoying mfs that we’ve had it pretty good with Mattel. The Hammond trex is fine, my only complaints being the same issues you brought up (Though Mattel seems to have fixed the eyes in the newer batches of these figures, the ones I see in target now have much better eyes than the first batch of rexes we got). Aside from those it’s a good figure. Tired of all the complaining tbh.

I always hated how the Jurassic World Tyrannosaurus Rex had such a fat face from the front, when in Jurassic Park it was more slim.
Jurassic Park may have had inaccurate designs but they were still 200 times better than the Jurassic World designs.
