    Wait a minute if you’ve replace the eyes in the teeth then, what are you going to do when Marco releases the replacement head?

    Awesome job. I got to say though, that Rexy without his face pieces was absolute nightmare fuel.

    I would like to see some more work on the Indoraptor. The tail could use more articulation, the feet could have retractable claws and the same for the front claws.

    I'm not quite convinced that the 110-120 degrees estimate was accurate. I've done exactly as you said in this video, however, the glue is still intact.
    When you dipped the rex in, the water was still steaming, but at that tempurature my water wasn't steaming anymore.

      @@ericv234 I didn't risk pushing the temp any higher because I was worried of damaging the gums or the paint

    The only concern I have is the hot water. How long do we leave the Hammond rex because there's rubber parts that I fear can melt.

    • @ToastTheThe

      He said 5 minutes with water around 120 degrees Fahrenheit

    What gloves are you using to not get your fingers burned but also not sliping off cause of the hot water?

    Great video, it inspired me to buy Marco’s head. Unfortunately, I broke my new HC Rex’s mouth skeleton trying to get the stock head off. I followed the instructions here exactly. Be warned folks, your factory glue may be stronger than 120 degree water. Time to buy another HC Rex and scrap this one I guess. 😔

    • @audiobrainiac
      @audiobrainiac ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@LuisGonzalez-kt2jq I bought a 2nd HC Rex and I finally did it! Just go slow and don’t force the head off too much. Gently pry the parts off with a butter knife. I had to really heat up my Rex to around 160-170 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • @ImXaded
      @ImXaded ปีที่แล้ว

      i tried this method because the glue on my rex is extremely solid and all it really did was warp the plastic. i also left it in 180-200 degree water for 5 mins and the glue still didn’t soften. i honestly don’t know what to do so i’m just gonna buy another one and hope to glue isn’t as tough.

    Doing this destroyed my Rex 😔 Followed this step by step. Did extensive research with other videos and tips online. Broke the entire upper jaw, most of the lower jaw, and gums are ripping. Glue wasn’t even budging. Tried turning up the heat on the water as well. Temps as high as 170-180 degrees Fahrenheit. Nothing worked unfortunately.

  • @gojira1814

    Has anyone other than Jurassic Compound tried this method, ive had zero luck with this ive broken one already trying this method and one my second attempt ive even put it in 200 degree water for 5 minutes and nothing has worked ive bent the plastic mechanism and slightly damaged the rubber gums but the pegs are either glued with something completely different or something else.
    If anyone has tips or alternatives to do this please, that would help.

    at this point mattel Marco and Rod could just launch their own hammond "correction" full body figure.
    The head is better, the feet are better.... give them a week and enough reference and the result is likely to shame any efforts by mattel.
