When my heart and mind are destroyed and I feel like I can't go on I literally cry to this song. It's beautiful. It reminds me of the beauty in all of us, and that we have all been through such pain. 1:30 Goosebumps! On another note, a few years ago I was having an online relationship with a bipolar girl from across the globe. She had a short temper, so one day, despite me having messed up only a bit, she was screaming on the phone at me for almost 15 minutes. I was running out of things to say that can make her feel better so in the end I just said to her "I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it." She immediately calmed down and told me that what I said was really nice. She never found out it was from a song, but whenever I hear that lyric it always reminds me of that.
No, no.. I was only 19 then and it ended back in August or July, 2014 (not sure). She never wanted to admit when it was her fault and she'd constantly disrespect me and even insult me. I knew it was not her fault but one night, when I was particularly down, she kept disrespecting me instead of answering my questions, saying how it was not her fault for me feeling the way I do and that I should just sleep cause I was probably tired, and therefore cranky/irritable. I felt that if someone does that all the time, and talks to you the way she was/doesn't take you seriously, then she doesn't really value you, or love you for that matter. I've been brought up as someone who's really considerate of other people's feeling and I felt really hurt to know that the girl I loved and cared about wasn't like one of those people. She was very narcissistic as well but I always turned a blind eye to that. So that night I just told her via text (I was crying on the floor cause I knew it was over for good this time and that's why I couldn't talk) that I do love her, but that I regret caring for her so much all this time. After I had sent that, she kept calling me that night but I couldn't accept any calls. Over the next few days she only messaged me a single 'hello' on two occasions and I didn't even want to engage in that cause it felt like an insult to the injury. She wouldn't even say sorry (she didn't even have to actually mean it) to make me engage in the conversation or try to change my mind. Maybe she just wanted to stay friends, so that's why, but yeah.. that was never going to happen. Or maybe she was too full of herself and felt too proud. Eventually she deleted me and that was it. Funny enough, just a month later before my first day at Uni, I met another girl through Instagram thanks to a Kaiser Chiefs photo with James Blunt. I sent the photo the fan account on Instagram and turns out that it belonged to a girl who was one year younger than me. We both needed a friend at the time, especially me because apart from the breakup, now I had to live in a new city on my own because of my studies. We've been friends at first, since September, 2014 and though she's always hinted that she likes me, I thought it was simply cause she was curious to know what a long distance would feel like so I subtly let her know I was not interested. Plus I swore to myself that I would never trust a foreign girl before (I come from a rural background, living in a second world country so yeah.) That was until May, 2017 when I told her that I always loved her but that I just didn't see the point of long distance. We had not talked for 3-4 months prior to that time because I was having mysterious symptoms and in my mind I already knew it was the worst so I lived in constant fear and detached from people/the reality. So I was simply making amends with her. I found out she had started liking someone else, but only because I ghosted on her. I didn't expect anything from confessing, but to know she'd moved on and that the world kept carrying on, when my world was ending, left me hopeless with nothing/no-one to turn to. However, a week afterwards she messaged me back saying how she never really stopped loving me. In fact, she was the only one who reached at me when I stopped showing my face on social media. So I could tell how much she cared about me. We've been together ever since and I can say she is three times the person that my ex girlfriend was. You know how they say that if a math problem is too easy, then you're probably doing it wrong? That's how I felt with her cause our communication was so good, and she was very loving and caring that it blew me away - compared to my previous relationship. I couldn't think in the wildest dream that I will ever be able to find a girl like her, although at first I didn't see her as a potential partner. She's stuck with me through my health issues (turns out I am a celiac), financial problems and has actually planned to visit me until Donald Trump decided to end DACA (you can google it if you're not aware what it means) and now she's unable to leave the country. I mean technically she can, but she will not be allowed an entry back if she did so. I wouldn't ruin this for me for anything in the world and I'm willing to wait until they have it resolved. Time will pass by anyway, but a regret never will. All I can say is that life is very unpredictable and sometimes you just gotta keep moving even when everything seems pretty pointless. I thought I was dying a year ago this time. Now a year afterwards, my life hasn't changed a lot but I have hope and my old life back, a life without constant fear from the moment you open your eyes in the morning, to the actual end. Sometimes you don't get the things you want/know that you deserve in life and sometimes you gain something better, though a bit later. God always compensates, you just have to keep on keeping on.
