Wow. What a throwback in time for me to see this. I was the video editor for this project. It was cut on an Avid. We had an office at the track in Daytona and I was living in Orlando at the time. A lot of the footage in this was shot by our team as well, all on Sony BetaSP broadcast cameras (before HD). The Papyrus team was excellent to work with. I believe we edited more than one game intro for them if my memory serves me right. Thanks for posting this. I have many fond memories of that time in my life.
Hi man, this is sick! I got the game back then when it came out, played the living crap out of it. I always got goosebumps from that into, watched it a zillion times. My fave shot was of the driver giving thumbs up, with that bigass watch on his arm. I was 10 years old and it stuck in my mind forever! Living in eastern Europe. Right now 20 years later, I was searching for die-cast Nascars for my daughter and somehow I remembered this video. I looked it up & just got instant goosebumps after seeing it again. Major throwback. Now I see you're the creator of it! Who would've thought back then that I'll be able to say THANK YOU for this! Amazing work, huge part of my childhood!
