Great info! A friend tried the 372 carb said it didn’t gain any power.?? I put the side tentioner in but had to drill the hole just a bit to allow my screntch to fit. Didn’t know that about the handles and didn’t know that about the three port muffler, being smaller. I do know that some of these are built extremely cheap and others are built quite a bit better .
Hi, Great video. Thank you very much for it 😊. Can not seem to find sideways chain tension mechanism / screw on Aliexpress... is it for 5200 model or some husqvarna but it fits the 5200 /chinese chainsaws?
Hey mate get the single port one I have them on mine the 62cc I have I cut it pulled the guts out and the little angle pipe out and made the whole a little bigger and fuck it woke up so much more 👌
Good video man. We all want a cheap new saw to mod. I'm curious if you've messed with the 25cc top handles much I got one. Nothing compared to what else i have but an impressive machine for 95$. Any info on those would be great as well thanks!
Hello from Brazil my friend Can you try to help me, please? My chainsaw(chinese) has a problem with excessive compression. But when I remove the spark plug the piston rotates normally. Even placing your finger in thze spark plug opening causes the piston to become extremely compressed again. Yesterday I installed a completely new cylinder and piston, but the problem remains. I changed the spark plug, removed the carburetor and exhaust fan, and still the problem remains. Do you have any idea what it could be? Can I send you a video showing the problem? I have been seeking help with this mystery on various social media channels, Instagram, TH-cam, but no one has been able to guess what could be causing the problem.
That sounds like it working as intended. If you want it to be easier to pull the starter you could put a 58cc cylinder on it if it’s a 52cc, this will reduce the compression ratio. You could also stack an extra base gasket or two under the cylinder.
thanks for the reply... last question; what is the exact tension of the saw chain (if you have short vid on this) much appreciated.. thanks again. and stay safe
What size of chain do these 5200 saws take? I heard that they suck, and I'd like to order an Oregon chain for the saw I just ordered. I'm having a hard time finding the specs.
They come with an oddball link count 0.325 pitch chain for a 20" bar, since it's more like a 19" bar. 76 drive links. If you want a name brand chain that size you need to find someone who makes chains off the roll, probably on ebay. Or just buy a new bar and use standard length chains.
I bought my 372 carb from aliexpress. June day is my preferred outdoor power equipment store there. I’ve only used box style mufflers on saws. They’re going to give best performance besides an actual tuned pipe because you still get some resonance.
Well I did muffler. It's like the one a TH-camr IronHorse has done. Also trying to get a cylinder for a 47.5mm pop up piston I got from eBay but no luck finding one. Trying to make a big one.
@@jamesh8136 I believe there’s a stihl with the same wrist pin diameter that uses a bigger bore and a husky jug that almost fits the case if you’re trying to go real crazy.
@@leafydialupking1 Hello again I'm struggling to find a Stihl/ husky piston cylinder/combo's. I'm trying to get 47.5 mm or bigger. Any guidance will be appreciated.
Good video. It would have been twice as good if whoever was slamming things around and running tools in the background had their arms broken and legs tied up while you were filming. Great information. I have 2 of these units and had to modify the air cleaner and oil pump feed hose (the hole in the case was to large-pulled it out, wrapped it with teflon tape, pushed it back in) on both of them. Both were simple fixes, and after tweaking the carbs they both run great.
@@leafydialupking1 Ahhhhhh.....Now I understand! I thought maybe there was another person working at the other end of the bench? I will shut up and go away now, lol
Put some dogs on so you ain't messing your muffler up . If you want some serious speed ,put a brace 10 T rim sprocket on if you have the clearance. You'll have to figure out what chain you need to run because the change you're using or going to be like two or three teeth too short even adjusted all the way back
Thank you for the information. This is the best video so far on these Chinese chainsaws.
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Id like to see a pic of the 3/8 style clutch im upgrading mine im tired of having to order chains i cant get them local anywere

Here’s the first one I found. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mM4MvP6
The link to the cover set now goes to the low-rise setup. Do you have a link to the high-top cover?
I’m try and get a new one figured out today for you.
Nice video! Thanks for the informations!! is the list ready?

Yup for sure. The single port is definitely the best to start with to mod.
Very informative video, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

I haven’t yet. No need for a a top handle, unless I spring for an electric.

Great Video. What is the exact name (specific) of that part (clutch cover). I'd like to know because mine is already crack. Thanks bro
I've never ordered one but probably 5200 chainsaw clutch cover would get you what you need.

Where did you buy your 372 carb? Also you ever try a completely different muffler design?

My garage does not have very good sound isolation. My neighbor was getting a deck installed.

what is that upgraded handle called?
I don’t think the name was anything special. Just gotta look for 5200 chainsaw handles on aliexpress.
Nice, still waiting for a listing on ebay and some links, bud :)
damn forgot all about it. I've got 6 printing right now so I'll have some stock for the ebay listing before I set it live.

Luckily my 6200 had that humpback style already
Nice. Some of them do come that way.
So thats what that hole on the clutch cover is for. My vent is perfect
Lucky on the good vent.
