    The reviews are fun and you get a lot of good toys to play with and mod.
    When I drove the 06 Charger RT my lil sister sold me cheap I was having a blast driving it home. It's surprisingly quick for such a heavy pig. It's faster than anything I've ever owned before and makes me want to drop a 5.7 hemi in my Dart, it would be scary with 1k less weight very quick compared to what it was. Of course they get awful mpg so I've been trying to be nice and see how high I can get the average in town. Turning off the traction control though is great fun and it seems to have a posi rear, even better...

    I modified a razor e300 with a bigger 750 watt motor than the standard 350 watt motor, and a bigger 1000watt 36v controller, a proportional throttle, and an 80 tooth sprocket in the rear, along with 3, 12ah 12v batteries, giving me about 30 miles of range with 50% throttle. And it pops wheelies at half throttle and will pull a lot of weight, goes about 25 mph. Total build cost $300. Much better for the price than buying something like what you have.

  • @thegee-tahguy4877

    The Uber is an old tech chain-drive scooter but still a lot of fun. The low $800. cost is due to the cheap lead-acid batteries. My Super Scooter 1500 goes about 40mph (if I use the original speed rear sprocket) and it came with a 48v 20Ah LiFePo4 battery, which is amazing and goes forever. But mine also cost $1500 in 2016. With the low-tech steering geometry these seated foldables have, you honestly don't wanna go over 40mph. That's plenty fast!

    I own one of these scooters. The reason it feels squirrelly is because of the rake of the handlebars compared to the tire. If you look at most motorcycles the wheelsets out front much further. This gives you stability. This thing you scared from almost directly on top of the tire.

    OMG! I love mine! I’m 68 years old, female. I never had any experience on motorcycles, skateboards, or anything other than a bicycle. Last year I bought my sons Segway electric scooters, they work in LA and park far away. In return, my boys bought me my UberScoot because it can be ridden in dirt! Where I live, a lot of dirt roads! Great shocks, knobby tires. It goes up and over freeway overpass, no loss of power. Weight is 125 lbs, mainly because of 4 lead batteries, swap for lithium batteries and go faster and farther! I can go about 20 miles before recharging. Shipping speed is 15mph, but disconnect the gray wire, 30mph. I ride with the seat, guy in video needs to tighten the under neath bolt to tighten seat. I ride everywhere! It really is a good scooter! 1 thing you really need to remember, fully charged, gray wire disconnected, you really need to start off slow and lean forward toward the handlebars. My youngest son, 25, wanted to see how fast he could go from stop. He hit the gas, front end was off the ground, and my son was laying on the ground. Lol. It has never happened to me, thank goodness. Lol. I love my UberScoot!!!

I’d like to know how do you find going up hills. 1, does it go very slow and waist the battery quickly. 2, it goes at a fare speed the battery is handling it, it’s only one long hill and hats it after doing what needs to be done at the hill top. Going down the hill and 7 km flat ground - know problem. 3. This scooter does not perform will going up hill / it’s only good on flat ground??

  • @jamescameron277
    @jamescameron277 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I bought the same scooter, and there's some disadvantages, sure. I was getting maybe 17 miles on a full charge and approximately the same speed as "The Inja" here, recorded. I then swapped out for the lithium battery, which was over $400. As a result, I now get approx. 30 miles on a full charge, and the max speed is up to 31 mph on a flat surface. I totally agree with the feel of riding it, I use the word "squirreliness", and it is, it's not a real secure feeling by any means. You never want to take a hand off the handlebar while riding, and to hit a bump at high speed.. you just best be prepared before you hit one, for it'd be so easy to crash if it was,... say, a small pothole, even. That would liikely be the end of both you AND the scooter, were that to happen. The front fork/handlebars "stem" if you were to ever crash, I fear, will bend like a pretzel, maybe even snap in two; it's just that weak. Since it's sit down, I've had thoughts of maybe cutting that front stem in half, reinforcing it even, maybe, and then use it only as a sit-down scooter, (which I pretty much do anyway), with the handlebars at half the height, I think this would give it much greater stability overall, plus speed it up slightly. Another possibility for speed increase - I watched another video, (Here on You Tube), on the scooter where the guy purchased a like "one chain-link smaller" rear-sprocket that can be used, which gives another 5 mph or so speed boost..

    • @micemr76

    I know this was a long time ago now but these are actually good scooters.
    Easy to swap out the motor, easy to swap out the battery, easy to upgrade, cheap to buy.
    That one you bought was expensive, the suspension needs upgrading as it's way too soft.
    As for it cutting out that could be to do with the stand switch, the stand switch often gets loose and can cause problems, but it's an easy fix.
    At the right price these are very good scooters, at the wrong price ie what you paid then no.

The first thing I did was getting rid of the acid batteries and replace them with a lithium battery and it's much lighter than having 4 acid batteries, I took off the whole motor, chain and wheels, that system makes a lot of noise, now I installed a 3000 watts HUB motor (tubeless tires) and I also upgraded the wheels size from 10-inch wheels to 11 inches wheels and tubeless. now runs very smooth, no noisy chain and very powerful as well. (Maybe in the future I might be upgrading to DUAL motor- just adding another hub for the front wheel) I upgraded the scooter because that model is really strong and is made to last, new scooters now days are not as strong as this framework

    From watching many, many videos about the topic. My conclusion is that the best, safe upgrade you can do to these scooters are upgrade the standard lead acid batteries to higher voltage lithium ion batteries for an extra 5-8mhp and 10-15miles. A battery for this scooter in the uk costs £95 so for 4 of these will cost just under £400. I think if you have the money and see yourself keeping the scooter long term then this is a good investment but otherwise then dont bother and just make sure after every ride you stick it straight back on charge. Also seen "fast chargers" for these that are supposed to charge lithium ion batteries but have not yet tested it as i dont want to risk blowing it up. Ride safe yall, you could kill yourself or someone else going 30miles an hour so take care.

    For anyone in the UK, it's the exact same as Chaos branded scooters. If you change out the 4x12v lead acid batteries for a single 48v Lithium battery, you'll get more of a punch and much better range. It will be a lot lighter too and easier to arrange the wires inside due to extra space :)

    • @RandomGamer-ku6ck
      @RandomGamer-ku6ck 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Side note: li-ion batteries also have their own BMS, meaning you don't need the fuses for the battery either. It's already regulated to the controller as long as it's still a 48v li-ion battery and not bigger :)

    I bought the exact same scooter three years ago. I absolutely love it. I have not had any problems with it. The power is really something. It will take you up an incline with no problem. If you gun it on turbo mode, you will flip yourself backwards off the scooter. The wheels are 11" knobby tires. The batteries that came with it died a couple of weeks ago. They lasted three years. They were those cheap Chinese batteries. A lithium conversion is a bit pricey maybe in the future I might swap batteries to lithium. I can get just over 20 miles on the charged batteries. I even bought a little trailer so when I go to the store I can put what ever I buy in the trailer and take it home. It is a bit heavy which is more than likely why the batteries don't last as long. It does take a little getting used to when you drive it. I don't think it was built to just go fast. I believe it was built to give the rider a solid platform with power for your Sunday rides or quick grocery store, coffee shop rides. If you don't like electric, Uberscoot also makes a gas engine in two versions. One has a 60.3 cc gas engine with a two speed transmission. The other one is a 50cc engine. Uberscoot is now owned by Moto

    I thought about getting this scooter but didn't like the lead acid battery part. So I just got a gas powered scooter. And gas powered is sketchier than the electric one in this video. But at least I get more miles per tank/charge.
    49cc gas scooter: Handle bars kind of wobbly. Seat is very wobbly and the way the suspension works is the seat moves forward and backwards over bumps. The engine vibration is very bad but gloves helps. I removed the seat to make is street legal as a motorized kick scooter, and the suspension spring is "very" in the way when I stand on the board; I want to have one foot on the front of scooter and other foot on back of scooter but I can't do that, I have to have right foot hanging over the edge on back and partially on some engine part and left foot kind of same on the back like riding a seatless dirtbike or imagine a gas powered segway with sketchy deck board that barely has room for your feet. I rode about 12-15 miles and still have a bit of gas in it (like a third tank I guess) but I was having some engine issues in the middle of it because my guess is the choke kept vibrating on and off, just a guess because it was running ok on my way back home.

      @hakan mavruk sounds like you just need to change the gear ratio. You want a bigger gear on the motor and a smaller gear on the back rim. You will have to figure out how much torque you want because a bigger rear gear will give you less torque but a higher top speed. Changing the motor sprocket should not affect the torque.
      Also I'm not sure what battery you have in there, but if it's not a lithium battery you definitely want to upgrade to a lithium, as it will give you faster speed and torque.
