throwing my 2 cents in, tabout is an extension that allows you to skip past any auto closing syntax by pressing tab. you don't lose indent functionality either, as it only triggers while still inside any new auto-closed syntax. for example when writing a string or function and vscode automatically places the closing quote or parenthesis, after you type in whatever you wanted to, you can just press tab to move past it, absolute game-changer for my workflow
Gitlens has saved me multiple tens of hours. Maybe even a hundred. It's an absolute must have nowadays. There's also Gitless if you don't like paying for the features which are behind a paywall.
People should make a better commenting script for python because it just seems tedious to make a multi line comment and sometimes my comments mess up my code during run time. I'm thinking something like a free standing comment that's overlayed on the code much like how video games are rendered in layers I think the comments should be as well
I have been struggle to even know how to RUN project for WEEKS! how irony I even to know this?! Every time i saw those video about Visual Studio Code video just makes my day even wrose because those video just makes me fell I am so useless and I cannot find a solution to run a project.😞

No I don't. In fact, I just removed Visual Studio Code from my Linux install last night. I got tired of all my text files loading into that editor as if it was my fancy file manager. I was never using the editor anyway.

VSpets are a MUST if you don't have a rubber duck.
Or just using InteliJ based IDEs, where all of the extension are there by default.
Yooo, keep up the great work ❤
I seriously urge you to try the "Night Owl" VS code theme. It's my favorite.
Amazing extensions! I'm gonna use all of them. Thanks Lewis
The live server one looks great! Thanks Lewis
Prettier and Liveserver are a combo.
massive salutes n respx to big brother Lewis…..👋🏻🇮🇹
You're always exceptionally helpful in a time efficient manner!
I might not touch grass but now I can talk to my vpets
One of my favs. Error lens: highlights syntax errors as you code (live) => no more missing semicolons or brackets;)
I use neovim on my arch desktop btw
vscode looks so beautiful when i'm not coding on it
Thanks for the video! Very informative. Peacock looks amazing! Great work!
Great contents Lewis, my question is which vscode theme are you using??
Gitlens is amazing. I used git blame before but the difference is crazy
peacock seems to be cool, will try it. I sometimes have 5 projects open or even same project but different environment.
Thanks for being great!
Thank you for this!

Half of these I can't even use in my codebase. Neat!

You can get most of these built-in with almost any jetbrains product
Yes, but vscode is free
@@xenomcz8419 You pay with time for setting them up
I like "Custom Local Formatters" for formatters that does not have an extension
Live server should come with all code editors lmao.
I recommend some kind of auto save extension
Go to file in the top left side menu and you will find auto save there..
Tick it on and your code will be auto saved
Todo tree.... For better comments and bookmarks in the same extension
Lunarvim for the win! Never going back
Let's go! These are great!
Very nice
The beat feature VS has is uninstall button , to get a real IDE
VS code user -> I asume you do css after a month long bootcamp, moving from an accounting job

I personally think ‘A Silent Voice’ is leaps and bounds better than ‘Your Name’ in terms of music, plot, visual design, just the works.

Peacock is wonderful
Git extension? Have you tried chatgpt and the terminal?
Comments in code is generally just an antipattern. Use clean code instead. Comments just add an extra layer that cost money to maintain

the best is the vim extension

Do jetlab plugins
Incredibly In Your Face really helps with errors
So is VS Code like a really good program made by Microsoft?
Personally i don't like git lense. It pretty much killed our laptops while working on ours company quite big codebase with many dependencies
haha yep! It does get pretty heavy after a while
Step 1 on not having to use plugins is installing any jetbrains product 😅😂
Hi, could you do that for IntelliJ? 😀
Live preview has better functionality than live server. It has the live server window and devtools within vs code itself
Still can't open React and other frameworks apps lol
Wow Peacock, I didn't know, thanks
what OS do you use?
better comments, peacock, bookmarks, vscode pets
Ty , I use ecams
I just put breakpoints for bookmarking 😂
pets happens in its own little subsection which i dont like. id prefer they travel the entire editor or let us define where it goes

And that's How VS beats Google Chrome in memory usage ( just 2 gb only 😂)
Prettier sucks. It isn't a formatter, it's a formatting style. Use clangd or something with actual customization.
does any one know the theme name that appears in the first shot ????

Does bookmarks follow line numbers with changes? For example if I mark line 380 but higher up add 20 lines will it go to 400?
