"If you don't like this, you're watching the wrong channel" AMEN! Love It!
Always blown away by the maturity and kindness of the young men on your channel. It's a pleasure.
I’m 75 year old woman ❤❤❤I can’t remember when I enjoyed something more. Still have a smile on my face
Yup, those bench seats were not just for sitting in.
@@chuckcts-v3460 Ha ha ...oh fantastic time, now I have a smile on my face. I'm 73 years but Man I still remember my first time in 'the Bench seat,
I was talking about Lavern and Shirley driving😂 but that too I guess.😂
That you Becky?
I'm 69 and remember benchseats ! I had a '66 Ford Fairlane 500 , 289 and C-4 transmission 2 door hardtop !
love it when merlin and you work together,he really is a wealth of knowledge!!!!
The look on Thelma & Louise was pretty sweet! What a joy!
I would definitely watch it
Thelma & Louise segments are a priceless addition to the channel. I hope they cruise to Archie’s in the car when it’s all done.
Don’t worry what people say about not finishing cars, you’re not a repair shop, and not a dealer. You work on yours and your friends and family things, they’re happy and you seem happy with what you drive and seem to be enjoying what you do, let the haters hate
You are part of the problem. People who have a different opinion than yours are not haters. You are creating infighting in the audience and that is counterproductive. The fact that you use the term haters is a result of your misinterpreting what is going on here and also due to the owners of this channel creating the situation where the audience is divided and fighting with itself. That is never good. If there is any hate going on it resides in the term YOU used. People want this channel to grow and prosper. If you go back and watch the earlier videos on this channel you will see what attracted many of us TO this channel. And it was not having Ms Fab Rats sitting in a chair and calling those of us with an opinion hater. That kind of behavior will kill this channel. It is already creating a lot of discontent. Many of my friends that I brought to this channel have stopped watching. They stopped watching because of the lack of Fabing and the emotion that is being brought to the channel on a constant basis. You are the poster child for why people are leaving.
@@06colkurtz just keep in mind you are entitled to have an Opinion.. you are NOT entitled to tell others what theirs should be.. it's yours and should be kept to yourself.. last I checked it's THEIR channel and if as you called her Ms Fab Rats feels your a Hater commenting on THEIR content, SHE can say that.. You however can't. if ya don't like the programing change the channel.. By the way her actual Name is Michelle.. and she's a sweetheart. (My Opinion)
Hey 06, are you a raw rabbit eating green teeth troll? 😂😂
@@06colkurtzfriend, if you don't like the channel, the door is over there. No harm, just one foot in front of the other and you will reach the street in no time at all. Paul and Michelle will do as they please, if I ever happen to not like a video on any channel I watch, I just skip it. Or if it's egregiously bad I unsubscribe and go elsewhere.
@@06colkurtz it’s a saying get over yourself
Paul when you and Merlin are in the same shop working on the same project it is pure enjoyment. The two of you remind me of me and my younger brother. The banter is awesome.
Keep in mind Paul that the majority of your 600,000 subscribers love what you're doing and there will always be a few that just enjoy giving you a hard time. Keep up the great work!!!
And if you want to stay at that number you need to figure out how to satisfy a larger audience and stop lecturing your audience. People hit the end button when they see that grim face lecturing them. What makes a channel successful is catering to the widest audience you can and keeping as many of them happy as you can. YOUR commend is indicative of what is the biggest challenge with this channel right now. They have created a major split in their audience and every time that YOU attack a part of the audience that has a different viewing goal, YOU are damaging their ability to grow and be successful. The Mear fact that you believe that this is a topic that needs to be discussed is indicative of how bad this is going. And how the heck do you know that the majority love it? The chaos. The angst. The lecturing. The inability to create a path forward that takes them to the next level in attracting viewers. You think this is good? You think its ok for you to basically say my opinion doesn't matter? Think about what you are doing. You are adding to the "its ok to kick a large part of the audience to the curb because She does"
@@06colkurtz It's absolutely impossible to satisfy everyone.
@@06colkurtz lol, get over yourself.
Get a pet or something.
@@06colkurtz Maybe try a little more fiber in your diet? Prunes are good for regularity.
@06colkurtz I think it's funny that someone with 11 subs is trying to tell someone with 600k subs how to run their channel & get more subs. They must not be in very much trouble with that many. It's not hard to figure out that the majority of the viewers like the channel the way it is just by reading the comments. You yourself said you need to cater to the wider audience which is the majority & you sir are definitely in the minority. Watching this channel makes me feel like I'm in the garage working with friends and family not some scripted TV program. I feel confident that the majority of the viewers feel this same way just by reading the comments. Yes you do have a right to your opinion just like I have the right to mine & they have the right to run their channel the way they want to. I'd say it's worked pretty well for them so far!!
It's the best when you get all your family together in the videos (Moms, Cousins, Brotherin law, and kids) the only thing missing was Papa Dar and the rest of the kids!!! One of my favorite videos of all time and we have been here from the start when Paul was still working Utility Work...
Marlin seems like the guy who shows up and makes everyone happier.
Marlins knowledge of older vehicles is awesome!! If I was doing a older vehicle resto I would want Merlin and Paul by my side!!! You guts rock!! Good morning from Eastern NC!!
Especially when he is directing/supervising the work and jumping in when he gets fed up inside and jumps in to do it. Reminds me of my dad.
Not me. I have to mute it when he starts talking.
@@kevinjohnston1957 - agreed. He's he knowitall guy at every car meet.
@@garywaddle7235but he actually knows what he’s talking about not like the other ones who just talk to hear themselves
Wow. After having watched both channels for years, I chuckled through this episode with a huge grin. It was like watching Siamese Twins who are joined at the brain. Great entertainment and great progress. Landon and Hunter didn’t live up to expectations. Not one firework went off. Keep up the awesome work. Oh and give Michelle a big hug for us. ❤
It was a treat seeing Merlin working with you guys, brainstorming on a project like this is priceless. Love the video.
I love the way he just jumps in to give a hand when its needed or when he can. He's a very knowledgeable and capable guy.
Damn near killed him with the "Papa Dar Lean-o'death" chair
The Fab Rats and Merlin Old School combo is spectacular teamwork and creative humor!
Congratulations on your 600,000 Subscribers, it's exciting to see you grow. The first episode I watched was Landon buying his first truck, and I have watched every episode since. It's been exciting, sad, and fun, it's also amazing to see the kids doing so well. Michelle, I'm so sorry about your Dad, and not so long ago to see Paul's dad Sherman pass on. You have brought us along through thick and thin, thanks for having such an authentic and wonderful channel.
Thelma and Louise are beautiful and so awesome.
My heart is singing. Xx
The beauty of this and @MerlinsOldSchoolGarage is it never looks like they're doing anything. Just a bunch of folks hanging out in a garage for a bunch of days, and magically projects get completed. Thank you all for the entertainment!
Remember, this is your channel that's why we are here! Don't change a thing for the nay sayers!!! More Thelma and Louise, they are the matriarchs of Fab Rats!!!! Lol
Yep, keep it fun and generational just like you're doing.
Thank you Paul and everybody for the update and lots of laughs !
You all are lucky to have Landon and Hunter, youngsters like them gives me hope for the future.
And Landon and Hunter is so so lucky to have elders who care And teach What an awesome video with old man Merllin old schooling everyone
You do know Hunter is not related and is an employee...
I was born in 1955, so the '55 Chevy has always had a special place in my heart...Love what you are doing, eager to see more...Just subscribed...
Thelma and Louise bit was GREAT!
Let's go! 1 million subscribers! We can do it! I love this channel and everyone that has a part in it. Michele don't listen to what some these people say. Your awesome and genuine! You have this subscriber for life! I always can't wait until the next episode.
She said, "i appreciate Paul letting us take a rip." Be still my heart. Thats the greatest thing I've heard an elder say since my grandfather. Lol loves to watch them reminisce! Thelma and Louise forever!
Always a good time when Merlin stops by to help. The team of MOSG and Fabrats would be hard to beat in a youtubers team build challenge.
Just curious, does Merlin own any long pants? Merlin is the only one wearing shorts.
When Merlin and Paul are together its always a good time!
It is a pleasure to watch Lance work. His work by ethics are amazing. I wish more young people wanted to be just like him. He is turning out perfect.
Absolutely LOVE the longer videos! Enjoy so much seeing your boys and Uncle M in the videos! The grandmas are a bonus!
These two ladies are so fun to watch, you all rock.
Paul and Michelle , I've loved your show since I found it . Nothing makes my heart smile more than to watch these 2 beautiful women cruising in the cars from their early days . Honestly , they need a TH-cam channel and a 50s car to cruise in .
Love your projects on the go. If they get done hallelujah if they don’t I still look forward to what you throw at us. Never been bored watching your channel.
I think Thelma and Louise need their own channel. For some reason, I can see Louise getting Thelma in a whole lot of (fun) trouble! hahaha
Call it gab rats, they can test drive your cool cars and gab about whatever comes to mind, kind of like comedians in cars getting coffee by seinfeld.
I would bet it would be a "hoot" with them taking a road trip in the car when it's finished.
Yes please Thelma and Louise❤❤❤👍👍👍
Love see the young ladies driving the old car and reminiscing.
Yup, the first car I learned to drive on in 1971, "55" Chev. Three on the tree. Sweet memories, Thanks
Watching Paul and Merlin work together is great. Need to see more projects of you guys working together. Reminds me of our go-Kart Racing days.
You guys making stuff up as you go gives me more faith in my own stuff. Thank you all. Even you Michelle.😅
Wow, what a treat, Paul and Merlin on the same reel. Two of the best.
Thelma and louise sure had a ride back to memory lane. So awesome.
The one car that the paint looks good enough to polish and be be a survivor look you're going to paint. Too funny. Polish it up and reassess? Great project.
It's already been repainted so, it can't be a survivor.
Didn't you see the side it needs body work...
@@Featherburner Posted before he pulled the clip off. Go for it Paul.
They had LT way back in the day, ,what they did not ,like the LS engine, what is that, is this a LT of old days, just with new technology top end and other, thanks, , p.s. go over and get vice grips special restoration Juice, from him and use it on this 55 , thanks BigAl California.
@@alkennedy1124 There are 3 LT engine versions, 70s, 90s, and the current version that started in 2014.
What a great change of pace, it's fun seeing all the guys together working and horsing around.
Another great episode, thanks.
Merlin and Paul both Hammer like Lightning !!! Never hitting the same spot twice .
I found you through Matt's channel and im glad I did. You are now the only one I follow because it feels authentic. I watch every video. Keep it up.
these videos are simply the Best. Merlin, Shaun, Hunter, Landon, Paul...simply the best
The 283 was a very dependable engine, so was the 2 speed powerglide. You are going for awesome!!!😎 This LT engine and 6 speed trans. will be incredible. Long live this amazing '55. Nice job everybody.
Love it when Merlin comes to visit!!! Also, Thelma and Louise making a guest appearance is always a welcome sight!!! Oh and Paul and the Boys and Michelle aren't too bad themselves!!! Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend everyone!!!
Another awesome video and with Uncle Merlin. Such joy and humor. Thank you.
Don’t concern yourself about the couch fabricators, build your way, at your pace with the parts you want ! Always entertaining to watch the process and not everything goes to plan, but fun to watch !! Happy Wrenching !
Man I love to watch the interaction between Merlin and the rest of the Crew! Great dynamic they work well together.
Shoutout to Merlin and the the entire Fab Rats Family 💛🖤💛🖤 I love these builds you work on! Thank you Guys 🇺🇸
In 1955 my Dad bought a brand new white 210 series Chevy .... he drove it until 1969.
At some point he brushed painted it with Black Rustoleum High Gloss Paint.
We rebuilt the Staight Six Engine twice. And a lot more
I don't think there is another TH-cam channel that I've seen every video from start to finish. Love the hard work you guys do, and thanks for sharing! 🤘
Try Matt's Off Road Recovery and Trail Mater, both are like brothers to Paul. Oh, and Robby Layton.
@@sarahstephens5966 I'm familiar with them, and do watch their videos occasionally. I just find their content a lot less appealing, haha. Not sure what it is.
@@crixusjt Sometimes their channels end up with to many ads ! I still watch them but wish for less ads ! Then again that their channels and do it the way want to !
It was great to see merlon helping and hanging out workoing on the sweet ole 55
What an amazing video! It has it all Thelma and Louise driving the '55 having fun, Merlin arriving with parts for the '55 and supervising the install of the Lt 1 with a 6 spd tranny, Lando, Sean, Michelle, Graden, and Ben helping move the '55 back into the shop after the pressure wash. This build is going to be one of Fab Rat's best. I love the idea of polishing the old paint a lot like Derek does at VGG! Oh and of course Hunter was there filming it all!
Thank you Paul , Merlin and crew for sharing this with me ! That '55 is going to be an awesome Sleeper ! Looking forward to the rest of the build of the '55 ! I believe that I will love the color scheme that you mentioned ! Even if I like shades of blue better !
my mom was sick for a long time with lupus i understand how hard to watch someone that you love pass. you were strong to put out that last vid you are a good
That is exactly the right engine/trans combo for that car! Having Merlin in the shop probably made a big difference in how much you got done. That '55 is in amazing shape. It's got a few wrinkles but is really well preserved for its age.
Very fun to have Merlin in the shop for the laughs AND his endless knowledge!
I think grandma needs this project!!!! Let’s go ladies
My favorite video of yours, the banter between Paul and Merlin is awesome; the two beautiful ladies cruising the 55 in the beginning of the video, PRICELESS! Thanks for another great one.
GOOD JOB EVERYONE!
I grew up in a 55 Chevy 56 and 57 Chevys and a 42 Ford with suicide doors
Doing great Paul Merlin had a great time there
Merlin is a hoot👍✊🇺🇸
Nice to see Merlin providing "adult" supervision 😀😀. I love where this build is going, Keep it up Guys.
A little "T and L" action ! And then a family build on a sweet old Gal, perfect family Friday you made my day thank you
Paul, I never noticed how much you and your mom, look alike!! Until I saw her behind the wheel driving! Lol. I love this family channel!! 😁
I just watched Thelma and Louise go for a drive and they made me smile so much. Good for them.
I can't believe Mertyn is just looking on with not jumping in and getting his hands dirty. Paul, Michelle, I've been watching for years. All the trials and tribulations.Sometimes I think I know your family better than mine. Love all the content you put into your channel and always look forward to your next escapade. Cheers to you all yes you too Sean and Hunter.
What a great time and special guest Merlin whom I watch religious 'ly lol topped it off with humor and skills beyond belief awesome times!!! ❤️
I love seeing Merlin and you guys working together it's funny entertaining and just outright awesome
Your channel is so very cool. I'm in my 70's and this brings back so many memories of working on cars with my dad. Thank you, guys, for being who you are and not letting the negative comments change your ways
This is a prime example of how no 2 days are the same. I love this journey y'all are taking us on! Keep on truckin!
A backyard fabricator procedure. Measure with a yardstick, mark it with chalk , cut it with a torch and gently hammer it into place !
When ever I see MOSG in a fab rats video, I know I'm in for a treat!
Yeah u knoe all his Motors he builds are junk and break anything he touches is trash lol
@@lifebehindtheselens so, where is your channel?
@@lifebehindtheselens Please just go back to your mom and dad basement and shut up !
That's cool to see the ol- girls cruising around together.
Luv the family together and the two grandmas are awesome!
Wow that 55 is gonna be AWESOME GUYS, you guy's got a lot done in 2 day's GO FAB RAT'S!!!! Always nice when Merlin shows up. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
When that engine was sitting on the ground I was giving it a 0.2% chance that it would ever fit... This is going to be such a fun project to watch come together... New rule... NEVER doubt a FabRat...
Love it when Paul and Merlin get together in the shop working on stuff puts a smile on my face from ear to ear reminds me of my dad and uncle when I was younger and all the good times. thank you Fab Rats and Merlin.
Paul, keep on doing what you’re doing. Discovered you through other channels last summer and I don’t watch them anymore. More projects please! You guys are awesome 👏🏻
Enjoyed a good couple of days. Merlin just adds to the friendly banter. Good to have his experience, contacts and watchful eyes.
Making this your daily driver would be so sweet. I love that you are modernizing these beautiful vehicles
You are fun to watch, because you are normal people who we can relate to. Don’t worry about the hater’s they’re just jealous. Keep up the great work!
Always like seeing Merlin Helping out , wise man with a wealth of knowledge for anything automotive
Definitely love the Thelma and Louise cruise
Thank you for letting them drive the 55. That is my era too. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm sorry for their losses I know how they feel with losing my love.
Great show, It put a smile on my face. And its always good to see Merlin helping out with his wisdom.
Great video. I got some Thema and Louise, and Merlin is always a plus! It's about a family that works together and plays together, stays together, and builds cool things together! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Their hilarious Paul you need to take the grandma's on a road trip laughing all the way
Double and Trouble looked like they had some fun! Lucky Ladies ❤
It was fun to watch the ladies take the 55 out for a ride. I never heard one complaint about the steering. For all the complaining that Paul did about the steering both ladies worked the steering without a hitch. I had a 56 Chevy station wagon way back when as the first car. You have a great car for the project. Good luck with it.
I had the same thought, not one complaint. That was the reason for the big steering wheels, though we swapped them out for the small chrome three spoked ones with holes in them and fought to keep the horn working. Four on the floor, 327, four barrel Holey oh yeah!
Man the growl of the gears of a pro charger would suit this build perfect!!! 👌👌 MINTY FRESH BUILD FOLKS!!! I know many have that kind of built 55 but a Van Halen cam and a pro charger sound so garsh darn good together!!!!
When I was young my dream car 55 Chevy, 327, crager mags, Muncie 4 speed headers. Holley double pumper.
Nice to see old style building, bunch of people working around the project
Yes I was Born in 55 an cars were better back then , I grow

Wife and I stopped by when you set fire to the spilt gas. It was a pleasure to meet you all! Love the videos.
So special having your Mom's as friends and connected 🥰 That new shop and storage looks GREAT 🙂 Great having friends/family with so much experience like Merlin 🙂... and some one new to harass Hunter 😂🤣😂 So Merlin... I think maybe the LS may have been a better idea than the LT... but I don't know anything about this stuff 🧐 Looking Good! 🙂
Love the encouragement that is shared by everyone. I laughed through this whole video. 😂
This was a great collaboration with Merlin. It would be great if he were involved in this entire build. Funny stuff.😁
Regardless if y'all truly finish that car or not sit back and look at all the different generations that has gotten to enjoy the time spent with each other on it that is priceless and time well spent memories will never be forgotten
Hey Paul, I'm 75 years old but I still remember riding with my folks in our '51 Chevy to the dealership in Wahpeton, ND and driving back home to the farm in our brand new Black and white 4door 1955 BelAir with the 265 CI V-8 and powerglide. As a kid, I never got to drive it, but I did get to drive my Dad's new 1958 Chevy Biscayne he bought on March 1, 1958. Good luck on you '55 build. Love your channel .
This is a great video. Back to your original style of letting us see you work. Really love this family working together.
Good morning all, have a great weekend!!!
