I've grown up around them my whole life.

Above most things in life, other than the birth of a child or grandchild, in my case, I can't imagine a more memorable moment in my life had I been out there with my wife in a hot rod boat if I had one! This looked like the ultimate fun weekend away from work, away from routine, and away from normal life! I will be daydreaming for a week that I get to do this....awesome!!!
Theres a place in Michigan called hardy dam, its an 18 mile section of the Muskegon river with an almost mile wide reservoir. The weekend before or after labor day every year is an event called hotboat weekend, its a 3 day party with everything from pontoons to sliver boats to cabin cruisers with twin big blocks to catamarans most also with twin big blocks. You guys would fit right in. Most weekends are the same fun but just with less boats. I was lucky enough to grow up around this place. The sound of big blocks wailing across water is part of my heart, its one of the most beautiful sounds i can think of.
I agree that we need more jet boats at Lanier and allaying, however imagine what irresponsible pontoon boaters towing kids would do to make them very unsafe.

I'm on Lanier with a jet boat. It's just not a weekend mid-day thing. Any weekday, and most weekend mornings, just head on out and have a fun run without any waves. Stay away from the fisherman, and 100' from anything else, and enjoy it with your nozzle up.

always loved jetboats grew up on pontiac lake not far from where you guys host roadkill nights and every august the hydroplanes and jetboats came to do their semi final qualifiers always a blast
I need one in my life and I am in Georgia. Looks like good times. My buddy had a tunnel hull jet Blown BBC that was crazy fun. He would trim it and do water wheelies with it until the carbs lost fuel and it would come back down. We would get those adrenaline laughs. Good times for sure
Back in the late 70’s my brother had a hydroplane and used to run it at a place in Texas called Dam B , most people have no idea how 110 MPH on the water feels, crazy fast. Nice video guys.
