As always, great video! The 90s cartoon theme song you came up with is such a bop LOL I like the cartoony artstyle of this game and to my surprise I also like the color palette. I guess it's because of the spooky theme that I find it rather fitting. QOTD: I don't have any but I could see myself going back to Luigi's Mansion or some comfy games in the future that are set during fall time like Coffee Talk or A Short Hike :)
Haha, I wish I could take credit for the music but that one mostly goes to The Ramones and their classic song "Beat on the Brat" lmao. And I couldn't agree more; the color palette really compliments the subject matter, even if it's something I usually don't go for in games. Those are some great choices for fall games! Coffee Talk and A Short Hike have been on my backlog for a while now!
@@NichePlays i totally forgot to mention that growing up in Germany, everyone I know including myself called the Genre Jump’n’Run 😄 After being active in the online gaming community, I started calling them 2D/3D platformer like everyone else lol
I'm soo glad someone is reviewing this game. So underrated and needs more love. Thank you! Which is your favorite level, level music, power-up themes, boss fights, and small enemies?
Wait no more, Mr. Featingtoon 2, for I learned not to keep you waiting after Mr. Featingtoon 1 spontaneously combusted! (I jest, I jest. I hope you enjoyed the video! Feel free to let me know if there are any games you wanna see get reviewed in the future so I can try and add them to my list!)
Great video, i never got around to this game and now i think i will! PLEASE review Alien Soldier, it gets basically no love, based on it being a Japan only release and being notoriously hard but if framed in the same way Souls/Borne games are, i think it's a great early example of the "git gud" genre, where you just have to be patient and learn the mechanics to be victorious. Also, it's AWESOME
I’ll always remember this game, cause when I played it as a kid, I pushed out the last of my baby teeth with my tongue on instinct. God knows why that happened playing Decap Attack, or why I’d shared it in a comments section, but hey . . . life’s weird as shit
Lol hey, stranger things have happened! If it helps, I remember my last baby tooth being removed by a dentist when I was 10 or so and my parents getting me Sonic and the Secret Rings to make up for the pain. Suffice to say, the game didn’t help haha
I've always enjoyed Decap Attacks music and graphics, but the gameplay is very basic and leaves a lot to be desired. To answer the question of the day, I always replay Luigis Mansion around this time of year, as it was the first game to scare me when I was a kid, and Dead Rising 2 because its my personal favorite when it comes to zombie games.
Ha I used to be scared of Luigi’s Mansion when I was a too! And Dead Rising 2 is great, I really need to pull that one out again and play through it before Halloween.
@@NichePlays yeah, like, this one guy was pissed at me one time because I pointed out that Battle Mania 2 has a major issue with making your score meaningless. If you 1cc the game, you are guaranteed to get a "counterstop", which is pretty "kusoge" in the shoot-em-up community because it makes it so competition at the game is pretty much meaningless. If every person who 1ccs the game gets a counterstop, the game ceases to have meaning to its scoring is what I mean, not that a counterstop, in itself, is kuso. Sometimes it shows that a player is just that good at an arcade game, usually an endless one, and isn't always a sign that a game is flawed. Butttt the guy proceeded to get pissed because, to be honest, Battle Mania 2 is an excellent looking game that is the epitome of "style over substance". The style hooked the guy that much that he can't accept that the gameplay really isn't the best. At least, though, its a fun game without too many glaring issues and is a good casual game.

Love Decap Attack, still such a fun game to pick up and play. Same with the Psycho Fox games on the Master System.
Great video, i never got around to this game and now i think i will!

Also, it's AWESOME
Jump and runs
*memory unlocked
I remember games being called that wow
This game looks wild and fun. Kinda reminds me of the monster party world
I made a platformer and I'd love to see your review
I loved this game when I was a kid!
Yeah Decap Attack is great. It's got that weird Vic Tokai slippery control system that weirdly feels quite good.

9:36 I didn’t know jellyfish have bones lol
I love this game and it's insane music.
I have one review rec: Capcom's The King Of Dragons!
I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Blue and Qix for Gameboy and I swear I've heard of this game somewhere but I can't remember where
I’ve actually never played Qix before! Is it any good?
Vic Tokai's games are really charming but aren't really the best stuff in their respected genres. But you can tell they enjoyed making games.
I totally see what you mean

What happened at the end of this game?
This is just a 16 bit game don't be so nitpicky and immature.
