Can I Beat Terraria Master Mode Using Only Winter Weapons?

- Terraria's master mode is already a deadly challenge on its own. But what if we took away over 90% of the weapons; leaving only the 26 that are ice, snow, or holiday themed? Making pre-hardmode a pre-boss weapons only nightmare. And hardmode a brutal fight for survival. Would beating the game even be possible?

Yea but some drops are just Don’t Starve crossover weapons and they don’t really have much to do with snow or ice. But it is the cold biome boss so it could be fair use
She's a winter specific boss, but the drops really aren't based on any winter DST things.

anise is a spice used in gingerbread, and cookies, and used as a spice in alot of things, it looks like a star so its used like a Shurikan in game, i didnt know this till i looked it up
Anise has the same flavor as black licorice, which sounds gross, but it actually works really well to round out a proper holiday spice blend imo
its usually just called star anise in full. the item name is a pun
Anise stars are very good for stews too, its a very handy spice.
I’m literally doing this with my brother. We were waiting for the 15th so we can get presents. I’m Santa, he’s Krampus. I’m allowed the winter and holiday stuff, and he’s allowed the crimson and evil stuff.

Olds one army is possible(literally i just did it) with snowman cannon and full stealth/glass cannon build, paired with chain gun with ichor bullets against dark mage, ogre and betsy, also staff of the frost hydra with 1 extra sentry adds a little bit more of dps.
_You need the portals to be as far as possible_
The cristal must have a 3 block stair for higher ground so most enemies wont attack unless they are really close, but you wont let them standing still in middle
A layer of platforms 36 blocks higher than the crystal is only used on wave 7 to get out of the way of betsy and let the crystal tank and be his main target while you melt his hp
My one try and worked attempt build was:
-Shroomite armor using helmet
-Snowman cannon, mini nuke I >main
-Chain gun, ichor bullets >support
-Staff of the frost hydra >if you get it why not*
-Accesories:
Ranger emblem, avenger emblem, destroyer emblem, eye of the golem, celestial stone, sniper scope, recon scope* / putrid scent al lreforged to menacing
-Buffs: Ammo box, War Table*, Gnome, Basilisc, heart lantern, campfire.
Potions> wrath, rage, endurance, ironskin, regeneration, when run out

you could get frostbrand sword so there was 4 swords you could get, also, fun challenge but for certain the one and true problem was WoF there is just no good frost weapon for it
I might try it myself but i'm considering using boreal wood bow as it's from the tundra biome and jesters arrows for their infinite pierce, dmg will be low but at least go through WoFs minions
You can stylistically argue that Jester's Arrows are made with Stars of Bethlehem/Christmas tree topper stars. ;3

The blizzard staff is NOT inferior to the inferno staff, it’s one of the top 3 mage weapons pre-golem, maybe even pre moonlord

Amazing video! Also, I agree. The Solar pillar is pretty easy, but the Nebula pillar is pure hell. I had to use the Nurse to not die on CLASSIC mode.

I feel like the Christmas Tree Sword is really underrated. In my experience, it’s a great weapon, and I’ve seen it outdo weapons like the Terra Blade and Influx Waver, yet I rarely see anyone use it. It’s a bit weird to me.

I'm doing my first expert playthrough and got an unreal snowball cannon. I beat the eye with it then summoned it two more times, now I have 3 treasure bags 😁 in classic mode I always disregarded it when I found it and thought it was a joke weapon, but it's actually really good!!
I would've at least tried out the Red Ryder with Meteor Shot for the WoF fight since they at least have some form of pierce, although they do suck balls.
Hmmm, couldn't you have used an army of Frost Hydras to help out during the Eternia Crystal waves? Cuz those are like, made for having sentries... 🤔 So having gear that would've boosted their numbers/strength could've potentially been a way to win that, AND make use of that hard-earned staff. Shmaybe?
But gosh, this was a fantastic video! Such a creative & entertaining challenge premise, all that time & work to overcome that insane challenge, plus such great editing. I am a german and was so confused, when randomly stuff in my language showed up.
Let me correct a few mistakes:

"Die kleinen Chefs" It was actually almost right pronounced, but there was a spelling mistake. We also tend to use the word "Boss" instead of "Chef".

"Die beängstigenden Chefs" I can imagine, that this could probably the most difficulty word to spell and pronounce for someone who isn't a german.

"Beängstigend" Same as before, one of the hardest word to speak and spell for someone who isn't german. Don't try it, it will hurt your tongue.

"Operation Schneeballwerfer" Spelled correctly, (except for the small w,) and pronounced correctly. Great!

It's funny watching the original Snowball Cannon in action after using it in the Zenith seed, where it's easily one of the strongest early hardmode ranged weapons, with insane fire rate.

Shield of cthulu is good u can dash into bosses and get immunity, such as queen bee when shes dashing

When you farm, I notice that it looked like you did not have the candles and battle potions. Those could be very helpful next time.

I understand why you dislike it, but the Cthulhu shield is perfect for duke fishron's final phase. You just stand still, focus completely on spotting him, and use it to dash and i-frame through his ramming attacks. He dashes 1-3 times before re-locating. I personally find it more fun to fly and avoid his attacks, but in a challenge run I'd totally use the shield.
Bro Forgor Meteor Bullets Existed That He Could Use With The Red Rider For WoF
I feel physical pain through the fact that this man never even THOUGHT of the possibility that he could have used meteor shot with the red rider to completely negate the hungry for the WoF fight. My disappointment is immeasurable… and my day is ruined.

The fact that you hate shield of cthulhu is wild, but great video overall.
About shield of cthulhu, it's the best accessory in the entire game imo, I can't think of any other accessory as well balanced as this, you can get it LITERALLY from the first-second boss and use it all the way to the end game. I even prefer it over the master ninja gear because the shield allows you to dash faster and gives you immunity frames, which is literally perfect to beat duke fishron pre mechs (if you time the dashes right, you can easily kill it in the third phase) which literally makes game after it a breeze. A little challenge for a great reward, one of a few things that make terraria enjoyable
