- In today's video, I try to see if I can beat Terraria using only the Sand Gun to damage enemies. Summons, Traps, and other means of damaging bosses/enemies are not allowed. For those wondering I was using some quality of life mods to make the run go a little quicker but nothing that would influence any bosses/enemies/weapons. I also started off with the Sand Gun and unlimited sand for this run. If you want to catch the action live next time then be sure to follow me on Twitch.

there should be an upgrade to the sandgun called the glass cannon.
heat the sand gun in a titanium forge and ta-da glass cannon, fires hot sand that turns into glass on contact and also does damage to the player when shot and cracks a little bit every shot, the only Terraria weapon with durability.
maybe there can be a sandstone gun too, can be used to fire any sand baised block and discharges sand blocks behind the player too when shot.
Solesteam doing damage to the player, placing glass AND being breakable sounds like too much for so much work.
It turns into a mage weapon, but takes health Instead of mana. It will only take you down to 1 hp and can still be used at that value, but will still affect regen. It should deal lots of damage to offset this, of course.

Alwan the water gun actually has a property where being wet combined with the shrimp truffle causes the mount to have a boost as if it was submerged in water at anytime allowing for more defense, damage, melee speed, and speed added to the character
it grants the wet debuff that makes water drop particles appear. its useless. fun fact:duke fishron grants you with wet on contact.

@@demon_xd_ Not having set bonuses doesn't really hurt that much except during the moon lord fight in expert mode.
The more painful bit is having 3 defense on your leggings slot permanently.

Average hunt for me with un-optimized gear is around 10-15 minutes, now old gen mh is a different story

Imagine if different kinds of sand had different effects. Like Crimsand would have a small chance to inflict ichor, or Pearlsand would pierce an enemy (I dunno, like the Jester's Arrows, just a thought), or maybe you could even use sandstones as heavier damaging bullets.

Edit: So apparently Pearlsand does actually pierce, as I've found out watching the video more... so nevermind, I guess. Still a nice thought though

I'm pretty sure that quote is a reference to an old Dirt Rod glitch. By piling a lot of sand blocks on top of a dirt block and picking up the dirt with the Rod, the sand would get stuck to the dirt and deal insane damage to anything it touched.

@@dasaiyantv8483 There used to be a console-exclusive weapon that would inflict bleeding, but was removed in the update that removed Ocram. I don't think there are any other weapons that apply Bleeding.

That damage on the cultist was the amount of damage me and my friends (six of us) did on the Wall of Flesh on Master Mode. With the best quality gear, too.

The icons for Retinazer and Spazmatism were weird. Retinazer started as it's first phase, then went to Spazmatism's first phase, while Spazmatism started as Retinazer's second phase, then went to its own second phase.

You can make a arena with torches than the sand won’t silicate on the torches so if there are torches on the ground no sand will land there
