@@ImpostorModanica lol, how did they get the ACDC sound before the Schaefer?? You know 74 -77…. You might have heard of albums like High Voltage, TNT, Dirty Deeds, Let There Be Rock ?? Crazy how the sound pre and post Schaefer is pretty much exactly the same. Then there’s also the fact that Malcolm is just as much the ACDC sound as Angus and he never used the Schaefer. Solo Dallas seems like a great guy who loves ACDC, but you SoloDallas shills are soooo tiresome and predictable
Thank you! I’m always trying to explain to people that diming a Marshall isn’t necessary for “hard rock” rhythm type stuff. Once you get over half way, it just gets more distorted and flubby, and loses some of the dynamics. Half way-ish is plenty crunchy for rocking, but you have more dynamics in your pick attack. People think that Malcolm Young’s sound is a tone of gain. Most of the distortion in Malcolm’s sound came from his right hand. It was bright, chimey, cutting, and relatively not THAT distorted. That’s where it’s at, imo.
Pretty sure I only took a touch of the 7K down from unity. Not much though, otherwise no EQ changes. The reverb was also subtle. I usually keep the dwell and mix decently low, not overly bright either.
Mostly stock from what I know. Just got new filter caps, different bright cap value on the normal channel (not the one being played) - might be one or two SLIGHT value changes to replace defective (old) parts, but nothing really impactful. And yes, Ox box into an Apollo interface.
@@nokomisnichols Dig it. I used 50 watt Hiwatt or Marshall in my misspent youth. Now, it is mostly silent stage, modelers, and in-ears...oh, well. At least I still get to play and have a blast
Exactly what we all expected. The AC/DC Night Prowler tone.
Best sounding amp of all time.
sounds great. the sound of rock!
Cheers man!
Sounds great dude!
What does it sound like? Fucking glorious that’s what!
Great playing, some fantastic classic rock sounds.
Subbed and liked, you’ve got a great channel, you should have millions of subscribers.
Very kind of you!! Thanks so much!!
Sounds great!
That’s the sound !!
And don’t let anyone tell you that the ACDC tone is from cranking the amp. Around halfway is where the magic happens.
Absolutely!

Actually dimed around 4.08 is where it's at for me. Great sound. Not acdc because it's too thick but still great sound right there
MY DYNAMITE WILL BLOW YOU SKY HIGH!! Damn dude I bet no one else knew that one except you and me 😂 AIRBOURNE ROCKS 🔥

Righteous across the pond 🤘
That's incredible, you can achieve a great sound regardless of where they knobs are positioned. (At least to my ears 😂)
These old Marshalls aren’t exactly known for the most responsive EQ controls 😂
hi, can you share eq and reverb settings of ox ? thanks :)

@@RockToneRevelry can you send me a screen shot if you can ?
@@Binco93 give me a few days :)
Good. It sounds good.
Could do a demo with single coils ? Either a Tele or a Strat ?
I only had the amp for a short time! Belongs to a friend of mine. I could do one with a 2203, silver jubilee or a 50W JTM50 amp!
no channel jumping?
Not in this one, sorry!
You lose a bit of gain and bite when you jump channels.
Sounds completely awesome! Makes me want to buy one. I think its stock? Did you use the Ox-Box as a load?

Man, that amp sounds excellent. Love that tone. You should just do the Bill and Ted thang and put everythang on 10 or spinal tap and go to 11. Lol 😃
It sounds great - at a volume that might rearrange your DNA. Unfortunately, you can’t play at those volumes anymore unless you are in a concert hall

Angus Young-approved.
Thought it sounded best at the beginning, before any knobs were turned
Good! That was the idea, to give a good “usable” tone at the beginning and show what it sounds like changing the EQ. Cheers!
