    11:40 Would people registering to your website see the wordpress bar at the top? If yes, is there a way to hide it? And can you register people on your website without making them register for a wordpress account, if that makes sense?

    • @wpbeginner

      Only logged in users would see the bar at the top. For a specifically WordPress account you do not need an account on WordPress.org if that is what you mean.
      If you wanted to hide the top bar for logged in users we have recommendations you can take a look at in our article below:

    May i ask if the user's input (after he/she completes the registration form) is stored in the database? If yes, in which table? Is it considered a good practice to access that table in other pages' code?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would depend on what you are trying to do, you may need to reach out to WPForms directly if you're looking to create a custom integration and where the information is stored.
      For the most part, the information should be stored in the user's profile depending on what you added to your specific form.

      It would depend on the specifics that you mean. You can create or add users, add a password page or use a membership plugin so you can limit access based on roles and it would not require an account with WordPress.com but it would require a user on your site for some of these

    How do I direct the hyperlinks on the meta widget to the login/registration pages created with WPForms? The meta links are still directing me to the Wordpress sign in page rather than the pages I created for it.

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For that, we would recommend either creating a menu widget or using a text widget with links. Editing the meta widget would require some custom coding that would not be beginner friendly

    Hi, thank you for the great content! Quick question though... We're wanting to require a login from users we specify in order to get to our Homepage (or any other pages associated to our WP site). Seems pretty straight forward to actually create the form, but how do we put that login page "in front of" our WP homepage and other pages?
    Also, where are those users managed? Is that all within the WP Admin under Users? The use-case is that we're hoping to grant people access and give them a username/password to use to get to our site (and not direct them to the back-end console). Would we just set everyone up as Subscribers? They'd purely be site visitors (not authors or contributors to the site by any means). We have some proprietary stuff on that site that we don't want wide open. Thank you in advance!
    Morghan

      @@wpbeginner Hi, thank you for the quick response! Very helpful. I got it to a point where I have a login page, which I set as my Frontpage under Customize > Homepage settings. I watched the video on www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-redirect-users-after-successful-login-in-wordpress/ to setup redirects via Peter's Redirect plugin, which works great. HOWEVER...here is my dilemma...
      Here is my page hierarchy:
      1. "LOGIN" (Front Page, no parent) localhost/wordpress/
      2. "HOMEPAGE" (Homepage after successful login, child of login page) - localhost/wordpress/local/homepage. *If I just type in localhost/wordpress/homepage, it updates the URL to localhost/wordpress/login/homepage/ and allows the user to view the homepage without actually logging in. How can I change that?
      3. "PAYMENT SERVICES" page (child of Homepage)
      4. Several "PROPERTY" pages, all children of Homepage as well.
      With my test user, I am able to type localhost/wordpress/homepage into the address bar and get anywhere within the site without logging in... How do I force login on all pages?
      THANK YOU AGAIN for your help!
