My god, TM's lectures when processed in the context of today's technological development, is mind blowing, mind blowing. Listening to what he perceives makes me realize how much, by watching and listening to TV, radio, reading magazines/newspapers, speaking to most people that the dumbing down is really about the NUMBING AND/OR DESTRUCTION OF ONE'S ABILITY TO PECEIVE AND EXPERIENCE the mystical magic that is CONSTANTLY, THE ONLY THING that is actually taking place within us, around us!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul!!!!
Thank you, I am trying to not just reupload entire talks but cut the best parts out of the best talks, with the occasional full lecture too. Peoples attention span is tiny, Mckenna will be heard more with short clips.
When I read some of the comments, or listen to the questions posed by the listeners in the videos, I can't help but think a lot of people are missing the big picture of what Mckenna's trying to say by focusing on small details and expounding on them as seperate issues. The biggest thing is to do with psychedelics; Mckenna is a proponent of their usage for introspection and meditation, he does not advocate their use for casual recreation. I appreciate these uploads. I've only started to listen to him recently because of this channel's extensive collection. Mckenna's talks on culture especially have really made me reconsider a few core things about my personal life philosophy.
You've been doing a beautiful job of grabbing treasures and gems from his talks and putting them up in manageable bites. His material is so dense it's nice to have both options available.
The fact that plants are illegal is such a clear testament to the fact that culture is unnatural, and also unsustainable. I've never heard anyone talk about this stuff with so much wisdom. This is what happens when you explore with abandon and then allow yourself adequate time to contemplate and assimilate what you're experienced. If you think McKenna is deeper or more capable than you or anyone else, you don't yet understand his message.

I deeply appreciate your channel. I saw the discussion with one of your subscribers yesterday about this talk and already today you have found it and posted. :o) I am so glad you did. This one is now at the top of my favorite Mckenna talks. I user icon you see next to my comment is Stan Tenen's sculpture inside a pyrmid. He calls it the light in the meeting tent. What was not mentioned in this talk is this shape that creates the Hebrew letters fits on the human hand... cont..
Can people watching this leave some timestamps please? Any part that you liked, or thought was worthy of a new upload. Leave a comment in reply to this, thanks.
Well I was fascinated by his ideas about language and reality to put it very simply. around 10-30mins in (as far as I got so far). thanks for uploading btw.
Oh my gosh look at the rock towards the horizon in this painting. The squarish rock, it has the shape of Terence McKenna's head. Interesting also the way the scull is shaped, it has a piece cut out on the top which is symbolic for his tumor that the physicians have worked on.
You're right... it looks like his thumbnaill in "Terence mckenna a solution to cultural illusions" on the right. How strange Also he looks like an elfish sort of, hows that for a brainfuck?
OpisCossack It is amazing how things become shaped. I have seen the most astounding formations in blankets, photos, videos, patterns in hedges and rugs. There is a video, an interview of Anais Nin in her house in Malibu, behind her are the formations of Friedrich Nietzsche and Sigmund Freud formed ghostly in the patterns of the trees and shrubs behind her swimming pool. Not intended by anyone and probably nobody else noticed it. But as I was watching the video I saw it, and the two figures were also moving with the shrubs in the wind making them seem to be in eager communication with one another and Anais Nin.
Your true self is not the body or the mind life is a connection separate from the brain this body and mind we call our self is really not us but something we are inside of experiencing and using like when you drive a car you are not the car but yet you can control it you are inside it you can be it while you use it and in the same way our soul controls the body its something we use temporarily until we die .
I musta got a Corvette. To those of you who don’t know, the Corvette from that era was relatively low powered, featuring engines which put out under 250hp. Nevertheless, people still drove them recklessly and lost control. Just the 1985-87 model years alone saw 5.2 fatalities per 10,000 cars.

Terence was human, he made tons of mistakes. he thought that native Americans didn't use peyote for 50,000 years. turns out that he was wrong, and they did use it for that long. But... that just adds to his truth. Like Wittgenstein said, its TRUE enough.
I'd like to listen to McKenna lecture in the distance while I do breast stokes in a hot springs through a midnight mist, Stropharia cubensis elves sailing in my sweat.
As Terence also said. When man started burning grass and creating fields some 60.000 years ago, we shaped the surface of the planet. That is why I say WE are gods over this planet.

This is just so freaking awesome. I cannot bear the thought of a world without Terence McKenna, or at least his recordings! Brilliant master...
I could listen to this guy all day. His eloquence is like music to my ears.

I couldn't be more impressed with the way he thinks.
The way which can be uttered, is not the eternal Way.
The name which can be named, is not the eternal Name.

This guys is far beyond his time, in some lifetime, humanity will learn.
McKenna was a saint.
You can call him that. I prefer calling Mckenna a Wizard. :-)
***** oh it all makes sense. Just not to you and not right now :D
don't take that the wrong way though, it doesn't make sense to me either..

We have here , a man who is approaching a high level of mental polarization.

That sounds like Allyson Grey at about 52:00. She even asks about the Tibetan alphabet.

Man Knows God Knows Man Thinks
you just know. wahahahaha! worst thing ever to say...just keep living life with all its curveballs, whether u see them or not.
The ONLY thing I find myself at difference with Terence was his stance on Amanita Muscaria..I believe there might be more to it than he gives it.
You tried personally? I'm merely curious. I tired 5g dried siberian, did nothing; probs a bad source.
"recycle" it

Joe Shmoe Native Americans have not been Native Americans for 50,000 years. I am sure he made mistakes. That was not one.
Yes they have had the same genetics and culture for basically 50,000 years on the land we today call north america.
I'd like to listen to McKenna lecture in the distance while I do breast stokes in a hot springs through a midnight mist, Stropharia cubensis elves sailing in my sweat.

Man Thinks
He knows
God
Man IS god
so god is a egotistical, hubris-filled, arrogant piece of trash? no. man isn't god.
Russell Amen Egoism, hubris, arrogance and trash are what we are trying to get rid of. Man IS god, but man is a sick god.
As Terence also said. When man started burning grass and creating fields some 60.000 years ago, we shaped the surface of the planet. That is why I say WE are gods over this planet.
