Fantastic cinematic video Rob. It's great how you give a balanced opinion of the bike without resorting to the caffeinated teen presentation style used by some.

Ahh man!! Snowdon is deffo on my list of to do rides this yeah... Looked epic Rob! Awesome vid as usual... Props to you and the bike pilot for some stunning footage! 👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good honest review .refreshing no sucking up to the manufacturer like on most reviews!!I have also noticed an improvement in your riding over the years .Well done .
I don't like the trend bike prices are going but manufacturers aren't reading the comments and lowering prices. The world is crazy nobody wants to work, chemicals to make stuff hard to get and prices sky rocketed, component manufacturers way behind and actually victims of major theft full shipping containers hit after leaving the plant. But the bike I'm stoked see someone pushing the limits and willing to think/ step outside the box and bring something like this to the market. The suspension think maybe need custom tune in fork and shock like some the other companies do. With that extremely stiff chassis running suspension designed softer frames doesn't make sense. They can only employ so many test riders and once the bike in testers and consumer hands getting really feedback they will improve it.
EXCELLENT VIDEO!.... Quality analyzed new frame révolution of steel plastic carbon molded... What it does on the terrain is impressive ! What should be cool as a bonus video should be to get access to the workshop where frames are produced... Thank you so much for your precise work of journalism. I add that you are the rare person whose clear accent permits to non mother language listeners to understand the whole message. This is a part of quality for a worldwide public. Honestly Rob, great review and also huge kudos in the focus and effort you have put in to not only the cinematography and locations but your own riding skills to up the ante on these reviews and videos. I also tip my hat to Bike Pilot and his skills also. Best eMTB channel out there bar none.
Awesome edit Rob. I feel I've been on a riding trip as well as hearing about the bike 👌 Interesting. My new eBike is all carbon and I'm having the same issue despite big hitting Ohlins units front and back. Exactly as you say. I like the nimble feel of the bike but it's harsh compared to what I'm used to. I'll try to fettle settings a bit more myself but may end up having to have a custom suspension tune
The beginning of this video looks incredible dude. That landscape! 😍. Love the looks of the ice cream bike. Would love to see a comparison to the 2022 Rocky Mountain powerplay. Hope to get my first Ebike this year or next.
Your videos are fantastic Rob. But... I feel the setup of your fork is just off. I feel like you would benefit more from an extra token in the fork. That way you don't have to increase sag or decrease fork pressure. But i bet you can find an expert on suspension on your channel helping you. Besides that your foot placement on the pedals during the assent is not correct. Your position is way too mutch to the center of your foot. Power comes from the ball of your foot, so this part needs to be centered on your pedal. Lastly I always hated the shorter crank arms. There is a reason the crank arms on normal mountain bikes are 175mm for people riding an L or XL bike. It's for optimal ergonomics and power. Decreasing crank arm length lowers your own efficiency drastically and the motor and battery have to compensate for that. I hardly ever have pedals strikes, so I liked the optimal crank size. Not a compromise for a different geometry and ground clearance. But i guess I'm one of the few. Keep the awesome content coming! Please don't take my comment negatively. It isn't intended that way. Kind regards Harald

Really good review of a very interesting and exciting bike ..well impressed !!! Even more impressed how you managed to get Snowdon all to yourself 🤔 even at dusk ...magical 👍great filming !!!!
given the very long yoke it might not suit a coil shock (unless it were reinforced ie: EXT Story E). Perhaps a larger air can shock might be the answer?
Niner have a similar linkage lower link below the chainlink and they have had minimal warranty claims in that respect. Time to chill about the linkage pivot location.
I wonder after seeing your Snowden decent whether changing the design to push the head further forward reduce the stem to 0 and then change the head angle towards 70 degs whether you would still get the CoG behind the front wheel contact point for your comfort. The rest of us then could buy a bike that flowed better with a more sensible head angle.
The word "hydroplastic" just destroys the whole prestigious image for me. They shoulda called it hydropolymer or something. And the whole technical name is way too long. Shows they are trying way too hard to make something that is probaby quite cheap to manufacture sound very expensive. But I wish them the best for being innovative.
Great setting! Curious though that for a longer-travel bike, it’s not fitted with a piggyback reservoir rear shock. For a bigger rider like myself this is an area of concern.
But, help me get an image of where we're at currently with this bike alone - without the promising new potential follow-ups to this bike: We have a bike that's relatively light, too stiff, and a stiff feeling rear suspension which might be due to a poorly specced shock. So that's not great. But also: it's got a high BB + low battery, relatively steep HTA and moderate reach to help it feel lively in flowtrails unlike most e-bikes? But it's no jibbing machine with its long CS and long suspension, so what is it well suited for?
Another well produced video that I thoroughly enjoyed watching, thank you. It’s too bad a big burly bike like that isn’t more suited for rough chunky terrain. I have a 2022 Levo which is well-suited for the gnarly terrain We have here in British Columbia Canada. The only problem I have with running larger SAG settings is that on the bigger hits and G outs you run the risk of bottoming out the suspension. To try to counter this of course volume reducers are needed but it’s not ideal. How would you compare it to the Levo you’ve been riding?
all beautiful but the price.....equivalent to a small car... it's not a bike for the masses unfortunately. me, for example, would need a few years work to even consider buying it, and i've watched the first video when you aired it and went on Kellys site because I found the concept and the design very interesting.... and then came the price tag ;-)
fantastic video as always rob 👏 big reps to your photographer!! anyways, the absolute #1 reason i would never consider parting with £8500 for this bike is the lower pivot... why oh why design a bike with a lower pivot there?! my trek rail is bad enough for catching the bash guard on super technical climbs, so i'd destroy that pivot in 1 technical climb!! bad design IMO... but sexy looking! 😂

Reading the comments, I am not sure what's on review the bike or the filming, there seems to be a big push with this bike at the moment, and apart from the frame material it looks similar to other ebikes, I would like to know how they come up with the pricing 9k for a bike, crazy, compare that to a car, with all the R&D and parts you can get a good used car for the cost of this bike.
Rob, your feet are not properly placed on the pedals, put the ball of the foot to the pedal axel ;) It looks wonky when you're climbing with such inefficient style.

Hi David - yes, some of these video takes are quick shots, and my foot position is not ideal! We do a lot of run and gun type video shooting - often I’ll turn the bike around and the camera operator is already filming, I jump right on the bike and start climbing - and we get a shot before I can adjust my foot position! So you can see some shots where my foot to pedal position is too far towards the rear 👍

Shame Fox won't support the warranty of their shocks fitted to the rear due to the side loading from its stupid long yoke suspension design
