Coming from a person that used to be obese. The more people bullied and annoyed me about it, the more i didn’t wanna lose weight out of ego. I never lost weight when people told me to, i lost weight when i didn’t tell anybody and felt the need to do it myself. The best way to encourage someone to make healthier choices to figure out what they like first, for example if they like talking and being out in nature sometimes, you can ask if they’d like to come out with you for a walk and talk at the same time. You can talk about your accomplishments in your new gym and talk it up so that they get interested. You can sometimes bring them healthy food to show them healthy food can be tasty and talk up the benefits. Giving tips on things you found out for yourself can be beneficial to them (like: i found out pineapple is really good to eat as it increases the digestion process). Taking a tone of coercion sometimes doesn’t help the person if they are sensitive and you know it. It all depends on the personality of your friend and what u know they can handle. Be helpful, not hurtful. Be cooperative, not coercive. Speak with tact, not attack. And lastly communicate with empathy, not apathy. I wish all the people in my life knew this & a lot of ill speaking humans adapted this.
As someone who’s also struggled with weight I could not agree more with this comment. It is so counter productive when people have a go at you and completely got in the way of me being able to slim down for myself. I feel like I would have been able to do it a lot sooner if people didn’t give me such a hard time.
That was defiantly my issue when I was younger and I literally did not care about my weight because if someone told me to lose any weight( usually in a rude way) It made me defiant.

She is a very intelligent and bright girl, as well as , very much tolerant .She's probably the most level headed and rational person in our family . She is not someone who'd make up a story in her mind . I believe he was cheating on her and wanted to get rid of her. So he used this excuse as a way to hurt her so that she won't question him anymore . My sister is a very quiet person and values her dignity a lot . After he said it and broke off with her , she didn't tell any of us family members . Later she tried to overdose on sleeping pills . My mom stumbled across her that very moment and afterwards she was taken to the therapist . She still hasn't opened up completely about it to people , it's hard to believe that it's "just her side of story" .

They said his heart stopped and doing anything would be useless but I insisted they do anything no matter how stupid and useless. They injected him with adrenaline and tried to work up his heart but it didn't work. I still took him home and tried my best to revive his heart for 30 mins. The worst part? My landlord came and forced me to take him out and bury him immediately, I didn't get to properly say goodbye. I could've done so many things to prevent his death but it didn't occur to me until it was too late. I stupidly ran his body under warm water "to keep the blood circulating" but it obviously lowered his body temperature too fast, that little thing could be what killed him, I basically sped his death. I kept yelling at the dog to leave him, I didn't think of hitting the dog or give him my arm to chew on as a distraction, it all happened within 10 minutes I'm still in denial.

So he used this excuse as a way to hurt her so that she won't question him anymore . My sister is a very quiet person and values her dignity a lot . After he said it and broke off with her , she didn't tell any of us family members . Later she tried to overdose on sleeping pills . She still hasn't opened up completely about it to people , it's hard to believe that it's "just her side of story" .

They said his heart stopped and doing anything would be useless but I insisted they do anything no matter how stupid and useless. They injected him with adrenaline and tried to work up his heart but it didn't work. I still took him home and tried my best to revive his heart for 30 mins. The worst part? My landlord came and forced me to take him out and bury him immediately, I didn't get to properly say goodbye. I could've done so many things to prevent his death but it didn't occur to me until it was too late. I stupidly ran his body under warm water "to keep the blood circulating" but it obviously lowered his body temperature too fast, that little thing could be what killed him, I basically sped his death. I kept yelling at the dog to leave him, I didn't think of hitting the dog or give him my arm to chew on as a distraction, it all happened within 10 minutes I'm still in denial.
