i see it now, he seems to raise the arms to the top and then turns. i could never see it at regular speed, he turns the body at the end of the backswing, very interesting.

He keeps his right foot down longer than most. Like Mickey Wright,

I've never noticed Kenny's grip before! Reverse overlap???

No ...its a Modified Vardon grip similar to Greg Norman and others... where the pinky of his right hand is around the hook of his left hand index finger. (right handed golfer). Players with a strong left hand grip (more back of glove facing up - can see 2 2 1/2 knuckles) when using the Vardon Grip will use this modified style.

You can see his pinkie, so it is not reverse overlap. I think it is Greg Norman's intermesh grip.

What I've figured out his Kenny has the same swing mechanics and Fred Couples, big shoulder turn, quiet lower body but he's not nearly the athlete. He can't turn his torso through all the all to match and shoulder turn and stop his hips at impact so he slows the club. It's not a hitch

Actually I see it different. The big similarity between Couples and Perry is a very NARROW backswing. If you watch that right elbow tuck in close and it almost looks like his hands get closer to him in the backswing. Then THROWS the club out away from him in the downswing. You can really see it when Couples hits pitches as well. I believe is is NARROW TO WIDE(SHALLOW).

The easiest way I have found to see it is to watch their hands. Hands get very tucked/close to them in the backswing then VERY far away from them in the downswing.

@@jacobr4558 Great points. The point I was trying to make is Kenny's swing is not unorthodox or different from the classic reverse "C" swing. Being a fatter guy, the way he releases the shaft down the line looks different. And he can't set the club all the way at the top so he takes a wider angle

Talk about a repeatable swing they way they synced up to the microsecond
