    Thank you Mr. Langer for your honesty and for teaching us some fundamentals that we don't hear much anymore.

    Thank you Mr. Langer for taking the time to share your golfing wisdom from a 86 year old man who loves the game.😊❤

    What a player, without him and Seve we had no chance in the ryder cup.

    good interview. Bernhard explained so many gold nuggets during that interview. In my opinion his is one of the best of all time. I've met him a couple of times and he is always nice to talk to. I recently saw him at the 2019 US senior open. I also own a few of his older clubs which I've spoken to him about.

    This was fascinating. He keeps it very simple. I really want to know more about his wrists and forearms and how he releases the club, but I got so much out of this little interview.

    I remember watching Bernhard at Fulford, York, sometime around 1980. Tom Weiskopf won the event, I think Langer was the runner up. All these years later and he's still playing some fine golf. Amazing guy.

    Bernard was the first touring Professional I followed and shaped my own game on. I will have to do the same again as at 69 I’ve lost a lot of flexibility.

    Great interview. Great advice to practice the short game much more often and to use the same swing while just adjusting the set up with your irons and driver.

    Great lesson from one of the greatest Golfers of all time. And all these people hitting their balls next to Bernhard obviously not knowing what a legend of the game is standing there right next to them and giving advice. Listenig would benefit them ten times more, than hitting their balls. 😄

    What strikes me is Bernhard speed, still great at 65. That's why he can win the 2023 US Senior Open in addition to a sound, solid short game + putting. A lesson to all senior amateur golfers.

    Bernhard gave some great advice - trouble is - amateur golfers - spend far too much time - trying to perfect their swing - not their set up - and hardly any time on their short game !

    Did you recognize any players in the background ?
    What is your favorite piece of advice from Bernhard ?

    • @Doraus1
      @Doraus1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pure Simplicity, Far too many gimmicks and so called secrets out there. Keep it simple and practice hard while making it enjoyable and fun. It’s difficult to stress the importance of short game practice to the majority of new players starting out in the game, they nearly all want to hit the Ball as far as possible, usually based on pure ego. And when they fail to score and play well they quickly loose interest and many leave this beautiful game.

      favourite snippets were no lateral shift, rotate inside a cylinder, full turn whatever that is for you, same swing throughout the bag, don't try to swing like a 20 yr old!, adjustment using set up only for longer clubs and different shot shapes....oh and hit it out of the sweet-spot!

    • @michaelharris6383
      @michaelharris6383 ปีที่แล้ว

      the cylinder concept, great word to use, rotate inside cylinder

    Bernhard was very patient with the interviewer who had no golf swing knowledge and limitations in the questions he posed. All in all a good interview.

      @thefrenchgolfcoach9567  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha, thank you for your message. I appreciate it as a gesture of thanks for the interview we had with Mr Langer. However, your comment reveals more about you than about the golf swing. I would be delighted to meet up with you in Spain for a vlog together on the course. It would be great to learn from you.

    Actually not a huge difference in his ball position for the 9 iron and the driver maybe an inch farther back for the 9 iron.

    Not a fan of Langer, when he said turn around your spine I stopped watching. If he hasn't discovered yet that you can't turn around your spine in 50 years it's useless.
