Thanks for showing the comparison on the batteries compared to the new 2.0. Long time dewalt impact user. Im transitioning to using all FLEX since my dewalt atomic compact impacts are getting tired. I run em hard at work with powerstack 1.7s. These new 2.0s look really promising. I have every other size of flex battery. This video sold me on em and il picking them up to use on my new flex compact impacts
There is good and bad to everything...nice being ultra compact like the powerstack 1.7, but runtime sucks....hopefully the 2.0 isn't too bad. definitely a great option for smaller tasks where you are only using the tool here and there. Would not be a good option for the sander as a 3.5 only provides 30 min runtime. I also agree that I like the CP3.0 the most for Milwaukee. Thanks for the video👍 I'm just now transitioning over to Flex(want to see what they are all about), otherwise I mostly use milwaukee. Hopefully one day Flex will have a much broader range of options; at least they cover the basic essentials. I would love to see a rotary(dremel) tool from Flex. Someone also needs to make a good variable temp cordless heatgun as well as a working soldering iron. There are probably a few other tools I'd like to see from Milwaukee, Flex, Dewalt...just slipping my mind
Hey milwaukee if you're watching this MAKE A FORGED 2.0 or 3.0 in the 2.0 cp body or smaller. I use the gen 4 fuel and I don't go higher than that 3 ah HO to keep it light. even the 3.0 XC is bulky when you want to get in a tight window spot without removing a curtain and rod. also if there's any ridgid or flex staff watching, whoever gives their impact driver lights on the head first can take my money!
I've later laid sold off all my other tools and I'm only keeping flex there's a lifetime Is warranty combined with power, It's amazing probably why they took the turbo button off that might be a little harder to lifetime with that
yeah, DeWalt seems to be taking their sweet time. Luckily I only own a 1/2" mid torque, barrel grip jigsaw and a light from DeWalt. Thinking about getting a 2pk of the 5.0 stacked but the only tool i use regularly is the jigsaw which will most likely get replaced by an M12 barrel and/or Flex. Otherwise I run all milwaukee and have been fine with their regular or HO batteries.
@Toolsandtactics whas better pouch cell batteries vs the new tabless? Any advantages to either or? Also do you still think its a good idea to keep investing in flex tools cuz lifetime warranty means nothing if they go out of business. Whats your gut feeling?
I don't think flex is going anywhere soon The flex stuff is a easy choice because of the Sander vac fasted h drill best recip amazing jig best fan and light. And most pronounced stacked lineup But as far as tabless vs stacked I like how the stacked Deliver power. Not enough tabless for me to compare they charge FAST. Too
Flex isn't going anywhere, they have been around for a long time starting in Europe, IIRC. They also make the ego batteries and are owned by the same company that owns Skil Tabless cells are nothing new, just an 18650/ 21700 cell without the nipple plate...so there is one less connection and makes for a better overall connection; if that makes sense. The benefit of stacked lithium is longer overall life as well as recharge cycles. I still run the original 4.0 milwaukee batteries from years and years ago, still going strong with no signs of weakness. smaller tools like an impact driver do not benefit from stacked lithium; only higher demand tools do and typically only from the larger stacked packs. In many cases the standard pack slightly outperform the small stacked packs. check out some of the torque test ch videos and you will see.
@brianf9619 hmmm. I see where the confusion is.. I mean. "As shown." Sry that's my fault. When building loadouts some x they are called kits in different situations
Where have that 2.0 amp hour battery being Dude that battery has a burst of power i am wondering if this is a new technology. Dude none of the other Stack Lithium batteries don't emitt this much power. Dude am I wrong?
I like that they added the 2.0 and have the most complete stacked battery lineup
@@Kaleb_RoSs yeah me too
Good to see they are still innovating.

I hope the 2.0 goes on sale this holiday season.
Looks powerful for it's size, I hope to get my hands on it soon
Have had it for over a week love it I think it's way better then the 1.7 power stack and

@@toolsandtactics Robert i thought you were done with FLEX and the bad leaking batteries.
I like that new 2.0 from flex gotta get one, but on a side note where did you get the stopwatch timer?
I wish Dewalt would come out with a 10 ah powerstack battery. Not for drills or drivers though. I pretty much only use the 1.7 batteries for those.

they also updated the skil batteries on the 12v and looks an awful lot like this battery

Probably because they are owned by the same parent company and Flex makes the best batteries on the market🤷♂

4.0 will be good. Let's hope it's small like the 3.0. But lighter.

only at first the live revealed a different outcome when really pushed but for regular tasks its perfect
