I have Probook 450 g6 with top spec and I love it. It's solid and good build in general. Only downside is annoying fan noise. Looks like g7 didn't change much.
@@FN2166_ Im not annoyed by the fan noice. When your doing a lot of tasks you hear a blowing noice sometimes but its not that loud. For school/work and some youtube its ok. If your gaming or watching movies a lot i would go for a better screen laptop.

Autocad work would require a laptop with a dedicated GPU unless you are just viewing the drawings. Also, you may want to consider an Intel H processor than a battery efficient Intel U processor for more processing power required. Look at the HP ZBook range. 👍
@@Dovecomputers Hi, just for information, AutoCad doesn't need something to powerful, I currently use a core i3 6006u with 8 GB ram and an HDD (it's trash compared to this laptop) and I can comfortably work with small and medium tasks, even 3D drawings are alright. I can see this model is offered with a 1000 nits display panel option and 2GB discrete graphics making it close to an XPS 15 on paper... not even the XPS has that amount of nits, can it be true?
Yes and No. The 1000 nits model is with a SureView privacy feature. Recommend not getting this model unless you need this security option. The new 450 G9 has a 400 nits model which is a superior display for general office usage.

Thanks. 455 G7 and ThinkPad E15 are very similar. If you want performance, go for these over the 450 G7 Intel CPU. Battery life is slightly better with the Intel CPU's over the AMD ones.

Thanks. The display panel is average and therefore not suitable for Adobe PS and PP, however you can still edit 4K60 videos with it. Encoding is slow as well.

Difficult choice as they are similar in specs. I would argue the AMD model (E15 Gen 2 AMD) would give you better performance and the Thinkpad has a very good keyboard.
What I meant is I'm stuck between the 455 G7 vs E15 Gen 2. Both has AMD RYZEN 5. The only downside I saw in E15 was the 1 Soldered RAM and doesn't have much ports as 455 and one downside I saw at 455 G7 was there's no backlit keyboard.

No there are probably better ones. Don't buy a Dell they're very cheaply made and will break unless it's a convertible 2 in 1 because they're solid and have metal hinges.

Probably want a laptop with a dedicated GPU. The 450 G7 with MX250 or MX330 would be better. (Only for light CAD work) Otherwise look at ZBook with Quadro GPU's.

If based on performance alone, the AMD powered PB 455 G7 wins hands down. Slightly better battery life on the 450 G7. Some organisations need vPro which the i7-10610U has this feature. 👍
You probably want to get something with a dedicated GPU if you will be designing electrical diagrams. The HP ZBook range is ideal. For example, the HP ZBook Power G7 is coming out soon to replace the ZBook 15v 'value' mobile workstation.
I have the laptop its so bad: 1) no LED keyboard 2) no Display POrt (DP) 3) and the huge problem is the bloody speakers which are so bad to way that you can only use it for calls, bad at music, movies, gaming and everything. and after that its a bloody 1200$.

This laptop has very bad display color reproduction. As he said, this is not for you or for anyone photos look ugly, documents look shaded.

I have the laptop
its so bad:
1) no LED keyboard
2) no Display POrt (DP)
3) and the huge problem is the bloody speakers which are so bad to way that you can only use it for calls, bad at music, movies, gaming and everything.
and after that its a bloody 1200$.
I have the same laptop, but i am limited to get only 6 bit display, instead of standard 8 bit display?
Can anyone help me as to how to get 8 bit display from this machine????
Btw, i hv updated all the drivers but coulnt get 8 bit display!!!
One last thing, when i uninstall and delete its intel's UHD display driver, windows switch it to 8 bit display...

I suppose technically yes, but why not buy the FHD model instead?
