I met Clint many years ago and had the honour of going out dancing with him it's true he's a rare breed a epic actor and a great guy ,l never forget a true Gentlemen
Lucky, lucky you. What I wouldn’t give for that chance.
did he smash
My family are Eastwood fanatics. When Clint passes away my house will be in mourning for at least a few years. He is the last of the mans man's. A true tuff guy and a film icon. Even my 13 year old daughter is a fan and loves him.
@Garry G no he is still kicking it with Morgan Freeman
@@john2914 LOL!!! Practice what you preach
@@john2914 she gave a comment, doesn't make her stupid....stupid
@@john2914 don't be an ass. Off course I have feeling for people I know. I was talking about us being a fan of his. Grow up and troll somewhere else.
My family has family night movies. His movies are popular with us.
So what business is it if yours if we bond over his movies. At least we get off our phones long enough to be a family and not waste our time trolling people we know nothing about on the internet.
Clint Eastwood grew up in the East Bay, across from San Francisco. He went to Glenview Elementary and Crocker Highlands Elementary schools, and to Oakland Tech High School. His childhood home is still there in the Glenview District of Oakland. The 1931 phone directory has his father's business ad, Clinton M. Eastwood, Building Contractor.
I love the look on jahs face so adorable. Clint eastwood awesome actor love all his movies thanks for sharing jordan. Rest in peace james dean your loved missed by many.
I grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. I worked at the Hog's for several years in the 90's. Been to the Ranch many, many times. Clint is one of the finest persons you could ever meet. Angelica Houston has a huge Rancho Manor-house in Carmel Valley I used to party at with a host of locals who knew her. Glad you had a great time! That whole area has changed so much from what it used to be..................Its sad in a way.
@Roark Bjorn Expansion. The area used to be so rustic and historic. They destroyed Cannery Row with candy and tourist souvenir stores. It quadrupled in home prices. And much of the the Mystique of the natural spaces have been mulled over for important recreation, like when the coastal dunes of Asilomar Beach were demolish to make way for the Spanish Bay golf course and million dollar vacation homes for the rich and Hollywood elitists. I could go on.......
Born there, feel lucky!!!
I hear ya as I grew up all around those areas , Met many in I am sure the same circles , Not the old days but times then was the peak in the best of times opposed when you take the folks times as still not to the peak yet, I know exactly what transpired and hurt and changed the best balanced times .
Clint movies are the only time I went to a theater. Whenever one of his movies came out, my Dad would take my brothers and me to see a movie. The last one we saw together was "Unforgiven". Good memories. My Dad passed in 1998. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1986. Clint used to work at Bethlehem Steel. They were both Korean veterans also.
Thank you Clint.
What a special talent you have - I know, 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration. However, you bring such joy to with your vlogs. Thanks for what you do.
Thank You Jordan ! I have been a longtime admirer of Clint Eastwood. Even though he is old enough to be my father, I have always has a major crush. Can't believe he is 89 ! His son Scott is a spit image of him. I could go on and on but won't. Thank goodness for visionaries like him. Beautiful Ranch. I now plan to stay there in the near future.
Clint is one of those classic actors/directors that keep getting better with age! Thank you Jordan, have a great day!
You tube can be repetitive and boring, your vlogs are fresh, imaginative and informative, makes watching interesting!
Carmel looks absolutely gorgeous. I love seeing independent stores/restaurants in towns and cities. Brings on a sense of adventure/wonderment.
I have some great memories of Carmel I grew up across the Bay in Santa Cruz I used to go to Carmel and I remember seeing Mr. Eastwood at his restaurant in front of the fireplace looking over the books he looked up and waved I was in my early 20s and it was nice that he was friendly. It was during his Dirty Harry day’s. I’ve been a fan of his for years I’m now watching Rawhide again. He did a guest appearance on Mr. Ed . President Bush Sr. wanted him to be his running mate instead we ended up with Dan Quale. Thanks for stirring up some more great memories Jordan I really appreciated this vlog.
I used to stay there when I visited from Scotland, met Clint once there, legend
Colin Aitken Was on a NATO float in 76, had the pleasure of stopping in Edinburgh, nice place, 28 days to get there from N . Carolina, ( Moorhead City) naturally, the Navy played some war games and had to sit off the coast for 4/5 days until the Pilot ship guided us in. 2nd Mar D, Fleet Marines, Camp LeJune N.C ( one thirsty Marine) got a pint of beer, house special, thick, black like diesel fuel. Stuck with Pilsners after that. Agree, Clints a legend.
Bridges Over Madison County is one of my most fav movies, I cry every time I watch it actually, It touches me in very personal ways , I loveit
I always ordered a "Maggie" a tuna melt sandwich at Hogs Breath. Then go to Doug McClure's office and watch David Peckinpaw write scripts for "Barberry Coast" with William Shatner. Allison and Kyle would play with the pool table. I always got to ride in Merv Griffin's white Rolls Royce when in town. Happy memories. Martin Milner suggested Clint go to Universal.
What an incredible actor and film maker! There is no one like him. Jordan, your stay at Mission Ranch has made my day. 🦁🎈🦁
I think Clint Eastwood is a very down to earth man. Wonderful place. Cool place to stay. Bridges of Madison County was a good movie. Thanks for taking us along. Hope you had a wonderful stay. Safe travels. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁
In 1997 we off roaded a bit around this area. I saw a man walking down the two lane road and thought to myself. Wow that looked like Clint Eastwood! I always wonder if it was, I bet it was...
Loved 🥰 the Clint Eastwood Carmel ranch. I’m definitely keeping this vlog if I ever get to go that way again. Ocean waves hitting the rocks really took me back to Carmel. I purchased a carved figurine of my jack Russell from an Italian sculptor who was selling dog sculptures on the sidewalk of Carmel the last time I went to spend time with my family in Northern California. Thanks for taking me back there. ❤️🙏🏻🐶
I've always loved him! Everything he's ever done, from Rowdy Yates to now!! What a beautiful place, I can understand why he fell in love with it!
Hi, Jordan
Nice video. I had an instructor in college who, when he was in the army and stationed at Fort Ord, was a swimming instructor with Clint Eastwood.
It is a small world.
Thanks for you, Jordan and all others like you or the rest of us out here in the universe would never otherwise have the opportunity to see & learn about these absolute beloved gems of history. THANK YOU SO MUCH ❣️
Watched Mr. Eastwood with my Dad in Rawhide: "Rowdy Yates" in the 1950s. That's 60+ years of enjoying his talent! Awesome he saved a beautiful corner of the World! Thank you, for the awesome vlog!
Hi, My Husband and I are from Oklahoma. We love the movie Bridges of Madison county. So we took two Separate trips to see the house and all the beautiful bridges there. Iowa is beautiful. Got to see and eat at the cafe in town . We also visited John Wayne's birthplace house in Winterset. They were wonderful trips the years were 2000 and 2001 . Clint Eastwood and Merle Streep are a great couple in this movie. Thank you , I love your Channel!
Great place with interesting history. Eastwood is truly a fine actor and great director. Very versatile and took care not to be typecast. Sad to see how the old truck is rotting.
I lived all over the world. I grew up in an Air Force family. I met Clint in 1976 in Sun Valley Idaho. Years later I lived and worked at Nepenthe in Big Sur in the ‘80s. All I can say about the Man is he a great person.
Great synopsis on Clint Eastwood throughout. My Grandparents lived in Pacific Grove when I was young till they died. That area brings up a lot of memories, Carmel, Monterey, Monterey Wharf. I even like the way fog creeps in at dusk.
Pacific Grove is beautiful as well
Having been a huge Clint Eastwood fan, since the late 60s, I could not resist this. I'm happy you have told us the story behind this property.
Hey how fun to spend the day in Carmel-by-the-Sea... I’ve been here many times with my mom & siblings!! Lots of memories here!! Thanks Jordan & Clint!! Oh yah, I bet ya never thought you’d see your name Jordan along with Clint Eastwood, did ya?? This Carmel beach was so rustic, just beautiful and back in the day the same as it is now!! Yikes, so cool right!! Thanks a bunch, Jordan great vlog today!!
**WOW STUNNING SCENERY! ESPECIALLY THE PASTURE & BEACH SHOTS 📸** Thanks for filming this Jordan. As have always heard of that place. Wanting to know what it looked like. Sure seems peaceful. The type of place that would be perfect for me; as a Writer ✒📖📚 Honestly, Clint Eastwood sounds like such a kind hearted man. Awww the adorable Jahster 🐶💖 I swear he is a human but in animal form. As his characteristics & mannerisms give it away 😉 Never thought I could adore a dog sooo much. Whom is only in a video, not in person. **HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND TO ALL THE FELLOW LIONHEARTS TOO** A mega fan here in Canada 🇨🇦
I’m watching a The Good, The Bad and the Ugly while watching this vlog. Great work Jordan.
Yes, & when Clint Eastwood passes away, all of his costumes in all of his westerns should go to a museum.
Not the same truck from the movie IMO. This truck has a different front bumper and wheels. But the big difference is the rust. This one appears to be a replacement probably sourced from back east somewhere where rust often called "cancer" is more common.
This was just wonderful, what a quaint and beautiful area. It seems to be somewhat frozen in time, and I wish there were more places like that. I didn't think I'd like Bridges of Madison County either but when I finally watched it, I had become so involved with the story that I was absolutely bawling my eyes out at the traffic scene. You know what I'm talking about!
Thank you for sharing, it's so easy to get lost with you on your adventures.
Aww, Jah loves to play with his friends. He is so cute! Great video, Jordan! I love the food at Mission Ranch. Great atmosphere, too! I like the Hogs Breath Inn, too. My sister lives in Monterey, so everytime I visit her, we go to Carmel.
The two stars you showed over the ocean are also showing here over Lake Michigan at sunset as well....small world.
This is one of my most favorites you’ve posted
Elvis and Eastwood are two of the greatest talents GOD EVER CREATED
Thank you
Wow my Friends family used to own that place. Fun Fact : Clint fell in the bathroom once. 😹
I went to the Hog's Breath Inn in Carmel around 30 years or so ago that Clint Eastwood owned and there he was pulling a few draft beers for some customers at the bar. I couldn't believe it. He left several minutes later. No one was gushing over him and it seemed really relaxed. My favorite actor ever. Thanks for the memories...
I stopped there in the 80s 0nce. Ordered the Dirty Harry Burger! Cool that you saw him
30 years ago sounds about right for me.....what a neat experience went to Hogs Breath and saw him chatting with guests. In addition had a crash meeting leaving a local shop and running smack dab into his chest I then realized it was him and he quickly stopped me by saying oh no I am his brother....sure!,,
@@janetstone8836 Lucky you! He's 89 now... I probably won't run into him. But I did run into Paul Newman once in Pasadena, when he was leaving a Malibu Grand Prix place. I didn't recognize him because he was short, & had on short pants with skinny white legs! All the girls were lined up at the window pointing.... THEY recognized him :-)
Clint Eastwood is a Legend, all his movies are great, I always wanted to see Carmel where he was the Major. Its an
amazing place, I love it. Thank you for showing it on your VLOG, great job as always. Thank you Jordan the Lion !
Hi Jah, my dog dislikes rain and snow but living in N.J. she has to deal with it!! What a cool place, simple and cozy!! Love Clint Eastwood!! Love the movie, tough for the children!! Watched it many times!! Thanks Jordan, I appreciate all what you vlog!!
I saw your older vlog, but I had no idea the ranch was this big! It's huge, and simply beautiful. Carmel's amazing. Looks like I need to finally see "Bridges of Madison County." Thanks for the tip.
UPDATE: Yep. I cried my eyes out. Great movie!
Clint Eastwood, is one of my favorite Actors! Years ago, I went to the movie to see Bridges Over Madison County, with my mother! It was a very good movie! My mother cried like a baby! I asked her what was wrong? She told me that I would have to experience life to understand! Also, at age 12, I was visiting Alton, Illinois, with a cousin and met Clint Eastwood, in Downtown Alton! It was a very homey place similar to Carmel! Excellent vlog Jordan! 👍
One of my favorite movies. I have watched it 100 times. I cry every single time. Thanks for all you do❤️❤️ hug Jah for me 😘
Me too! :D :)
Who else didn't realize that was a mural 🤔 and had to rewind? 😬
That entire place is gorgeous. It could be a movie set. Thanks for showing this, Jordan.
We have a city called Carmel in Indiana and non-locals call it Car-mell.
Man, you have GOT TO watch Space Cowboys! I think you would really like it. Clint with Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, and James Garner, such a great combination of great actors. Pretty funny, too. Hey, watch it tonight!
I love the vlog from Clint Eastwood's Ranch. It's so beautiful,,I love the barns, the trees, all of the out buildings.
The house is breathtaking.
Great vlog.......I went to Carmel once many years ago, and parked in front of the town hall at the time that Clint was the mayor but it was a Sunday and unfortunately he probably wasn't at work. It's a beautiful and charming town and I always wished I could live there. Thanks Jordan.
I was there in 1998.Beautiful landscapes there.Went to the Hoggs breath.Pebble beach and the lone cypress tree.
Thanks for the visit to the mission.Clint certainly has made his mark there and everywhere with his movies.
Thank you for that very interesting and enjoyable virtual tour. So good to see something I will never experience in real time. Much appreciated.
Loved the atmosphere at the Hog’s Breath!
My dad would work with Clint a bit back in the '90's. One day got a call from my dad, ended up talking with him. My dad really liked & respected him, as well, he was very cool and friendly to talk with. BTW, the truck is sitting near the ocean it'll rot all over- from the inside out. It's pretty done
Wish I new about Clint’s Ranch last time I was visiting the US. We stayed in Carmel. Did you notice the amazing pet shop in the town ? Heaps of stock. This was in 2012 and we now have shops in Perth Australia with the same dog treats. Love Carmel !
In the movie Streeps character explains that in Italy she meets her husband and comes to America not realizing she would end up on a farm with very little outside relationships or life, although she loved her husband and children meeting Clints character and sharing his travels and experiences gave her a life she so lamented for...
I love this video! Thank you Jordan, because of you, I have a bucket list of places I want to visit and this was just added. Clint Eastwood is one off those special stars that I have watched all my life, starting with the spaghetti westerns in my childhood and then I was scared of him :)
neat place!, cool how they lived there, old feel like old village , the restaurant looks so comfortable in the outside dinning area , love the brick and stone style
The Bridges of Madison County is my all time favorite and I have seen it about a hundred times and looking for the next time... It is so perfectly done and I cry many times and smile as well when it it called for.. very emotional movie... Meryl and Clint were perfect together for that movie.... Anita from Canada...........
Thank Adam to woo for showing us me and my girl all them years back you came along way to being a awesome show
One of Clint's best movies always comes to my mind the gauntlet
Absolutely fell in love with this place. I would imagine Clint loves it due to it's relaxing countryside and ranch life after all the filming hours and rushing around. Thanks for this vlog as coming from England always wondered about it. x
Wow !! Beautiful !!
Love Clint Eastwood one of the True Hollywood legends !!!
Thanks Jordan for the upload !! 👍
Excellent vlog Jordan! It looks like one of those places that you can totally relax and chill out and dare I say unplug! So much to take in on a leisurely stroll, not having to be in a rush.. love it! Love the truck, I can see the necklace hanging on the rear view mirror like in the movie! Thank you for the tour!
A beautiful location in a unique area, Carmel by the Sea and Clint’s Mission Ranch. I live about two hours away but have never seen this property. Now, after seeing your vlog, I would like to take my wife and stay there when the weather gets nicer. Excellent vlog of the property and its amenities.
This is a great place, and my husband and I there a few years back. It is a nice homey place, and saw Kevin Costner in the restaurant. It made my day! Carmel is a great artsy place and so beautiful. Clint Eastwood is a good guy who makes great movies.
Thanks for another look at the Hog's Breath Inn. I used to house sit a home down the street on San Carlos. One night the cable television went down and it was just a short walk to the Inn or Jack London's. Well, went to the Hog's Breath and Clint Eastwood came in and sat at the bar. I could not believe how down to earth he was and never thought he would be out on a very stormy night. Nice to see the Inn is still there.
Rowdy Yates and Gil Favor will always be my favorite cowboys and who could forget, Wishbone!
Jorden you are special!!! You are very special and I mean that in the good decent midwestern backbone of the country people that we both are.you contribute vast amounts of information to the people of the world and that is something special.
A nice place if you want peace and quiet. Carmel is as mellow as it gets. Great food at the Mission Ranch.
He was a life guard at Ford Ord ( military base now closed)... in Monterey..frankly, he fell in love with the area, as my step- dad did..and stayed...too. tyfs
I never heard of this before, tho knew of CEastwood's ties with Carmel. This is such a great video! Thank you, Jordan! The ranch is gorgeous, and I loved the restaurant. I'd love to stay there some day. But if Clint Eastwood would happen to be there when I was, I would probably faint dead away. (I have 'Lucy Ricardo Meets a Celebrity' syndrome.)
Beautiful! Love the foliage and all the colors of the landscape.
I've always wanted to go to Carmel ever since seeing the opening scene for play misty for me, and that cliffhouse that Donna mills character lived overlooking the ocean...and going to Monterey to see the monarch migration, Love clint Eastwood!!!!!!!...thanks Jordan looking forward to the rest of your stay
So cool i love the Mission Ranch my goto place for birthday diners love the NY steaks and rack of lamb the piano bar singer is awesome ! Thanks for showing the truck been there many times and didn’t know this lol will check it out my next visit
By far My Favorite Actor of all time!! My favorite movie is The Oulaw Josey Wales..."are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?"...much love to Clint
I love Clint Eastwood's movies ! 1 of my favorite actors ""Everywhich Way Lose", Everywhich way ya can" and more =) this video allowed me to see way into who he was interesting Jordan, thank you for sharing =)
I loved this Jordan. Clint is one of my favorites. He reminds me so much of my Father and Carmel is such a gorgeous place.
When I was growing up in Alameda California back in 1970s he lived at the beach in tennis club and he would put on events with tennis tournaments that was big time we love Clint Eastwood my parent was raised in Aptos California and I think my auntie partied with him several times what a wonderful man he is he's awesome there's nothing like Clint Eastwood he is number one ⭐ box office
Clint Eastwood..is a good man with his head on straight, and brain in tact! HE HAS NO FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE!
Great to see this. It is beautiful and looks very calming. Thanks! 👍
From a little old lady in Texas - I love all Clints work except bridges with that woman lol. (edited to add) being old enough to have faced this movies issues in some ways - "I'm doing the best I can with what I've got to work with here with this new information. To that end - half your ashes go in the grave, half get scattered." Death is just so dramatic and emotionally taxing. Don't force me to make decisions at your death you couldn't face in life. I won't spread your business but don't turn a burial into a spreading that leaves me to explain.
- but Rawhide was awesome. He was just gorgeous lol.
Space Cowboys is a must!!!
Hi Jordan. Wow what a spectacular property. Clint Eastwood is such a great guy. So humble, quiet, and nice, by all accounts. Lol, who doesn’t love Clyde, right? “Right turn Clyde.” Bam, across the head. Lol. I really enjoyed this vlog, like all your others.
I always admired him a a great actor as time goes by n we learn more about him I admire him even more as the great human that he is
Went to the 72 Crosby Pro Am in Monterey I was 18. My Dad has to piss so he goes to the stand alone fancy bathroom while I’m waiting out side. And who walks in behind him, but Clint Eastwood. Dad walks out, I ask him if anybody stood next to him. He looks at me and says yeah. I told him that’s Clint Eastwood the actor, you know Dirty Harry. His reply “no different than me”. Classic Dad.
clint eastwood-----sez it all.....a man's man.....his OWN man.....no "boxes" could contain him or be checked when it comes to his name.....he's FREE and "we've" loved him for it. imagine what we would've missed----had he NOT been the man that he is----living and DOING his way!!! thank-you mr. eastwood for alllllllll your memories!!!! and legacy.......they ARE valued by those who remember----"days gone by....."
Love that place, Jordan! So interesting and beautifully unique. When you talked about Bridges which I have seen a couple of times, the atmosphere of melancholy, conflicted emotions, and time limitation came flooding back. Great movie, great talent! Great vlog!
In the opening scene from Dirty Harry, he walks into a restaurant. The restaurant is on the corner of the building. Down the side of the building is a movie marquee. The movie playing is “Play Misty For Me”
when you said "You Wanna Go" your dogs eye and head movement was spot on too my dogs
I dislike that it ALWAYS goes to cemercial when you are just about to say something very important, and then it breaks up what you are saying.....uggggh!!!
I'm so glad you went here....Beautiful!!!
Thank you for your response regarding Eastwood in Carmel seeing Carmel makes want to go back and dam it I will. Thank you!!!!!!
Soooo LOVELY COUNTRY HOME (Motel) AND LANDSCAPE..! L🥰VE Clint Eastwood
One of the Covered Bridges in the movie was filmed in Euharlee Georgia at our Covered Bridge. Even Sherman and his troops crossed our bridge during his march to the sea. . .
I"m surprised Sherman didn't burn down that bridge! I love covered bridges and I love that movie too! Clint Eastwood is a class act. I'm so happy to have found this vlog!
Oh, how I love Carmel. So beautiful. Haven’t been in awhile, sad to say. I recall driving by Hog’a Breath, and remember well when he was mayor. Would love to stay at the ranch. When “Space Cowboys” came out I remember that all f it’s stars appeared on The Late Show you don’t see that kind of an entire cast appear every day. I recorded it so my husband could see it the net day. Loved this movie. Loved most of his films. “Play Misty for Me” has always stuck in my brain. After “Bridges” came out there was an uptick in babies being named Madison, as I recall. This man makes terrific films. Also, I recall the theme from “Rawhide”, and wasn’t her great in it?! Thank you sooo much for this video.
My daughter sent me the book for my Birthday one year. It was sooo good! Could not wait until a movie to was made! There was and I bought it and loved it! Of course, Clint is easy on the eyes!🌹
He used to have a ranch in Fall River Mills in Northern California. My coworker delivered to him. One day he came rolling up with his kid on his lap driving the Dirty Harry car. Hanna-Barbera had a ranch up there also.
I love Clint Eastwood to pieces ❤️❤️❤️ I was in Carmel some years back, it was very beautiful !!
One of the best actors ever, to a real treasure. Politics aside, Clint Eastwood is the one of the greatest artists in America. Thumbs up!
When you get a chance, play Misty for me.
LOVE IT! and: THE BEGUILED!!! oooh! ;) Clint! Kim :)
Larry Wakeman don't forget the underrated "Breezy"
Loved the Movie! Gave a new meaning to psychotic women! lol But the sound track of Roberta Flack singing "The first time, ever I saw your face" was simply iconic for the movie! Clint really does love Jazz music! 🎶🎹🎶-
@@larrywakeman4371 ...ahhh "The Beguiled"...love that movie
You called ! 😄
Fantastic tour, Jordan! Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite actors and I especially love The Bridges of Madison County. It was fun to see the green truck from the movie. Love the ranch and would love to stay there one day. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s vlog!
Bridges of Madison County love that movie because it reminds me of my father. He even looked like Clint when he was younger. He is 93 years old now. We used to travel around PA with my mom when I was a little boy on weekends and he would photograph old covered bridges that were plentiful at the time. He photographed with a Kodak Pony 35mm Camera and KodaChrome slides. We still have the slides here. Those are the days of my memories.
Space Cowboys is a great movie. One of my favorites! James Garner, Donald Sutherland, and Tommy Lee Jones are also in it.
I like all those actors. I'll check it out
Tommy Lee Jones in person is an A$$hole
Clint is a very talented man, I'm a big fan of his, so was my grandad
So I really enjoyed this one, thanks
I also thought the same about bridges of madison County but it was Clint Eastwood, so I had to watch it and I wasn't disappointed
Love Clint Eastwood. Thanks Jordan for this great video on Clint & Carmel. I hope to stay at the ranch after watching this video.
