Great teachers make the difficult things look easy. But you made the student feel like they can sing anything. You're amazing!
Absolutely amazing, I think you need to keep making more riffs and runs videos as lot of people try learn riffs and runs and your video are one of the best.
Thank you! So glad you're finding them helpful.
@@CamillevanNiekerkMusic❤❤❤❤
I've already watched some riffs and runs tutorial but yours are closer to real and with real song examples and it's fun to follow. For that Thank You!
Thank you, Michael! :)
@@CamillevanNiekerkMusic of course other than that you are so beautiful. You're welcome! :)
You are amazing. Just trying to keep up with you has made me a better vocalist. I recently began practicing scales. I'm about to turn 54, recovering from drug addiction and have been clean 10 years. I never really tried to be a better singer until this past year. You're so professional and kind. I love your method of teaching. So happy to have discovered your helpful videos.

You are amazing. I love your voice. You make it so easy to learn!
Thank you, David!
Stunning!
Thank you!
Great teaching 👌
I barely comment on TH-cam videos, but I wouldn't want to pass on this opportunity of commending the depth of your understanding of this important concept in contemporary music. Your video is the first that ever explains riffs and runs in a way that moved me from a novice to "Yea, I can do this too"(literally). Great job!
Thank you so much! That means the world to me!
So patient you’re!! Best coach
Thank you!
This is amazing, thanks for putting together! I listened to Chris Stapleton sing Tennessee Whiskey a few times and it sounds like the 4th part of his run may actually be 5 notes that starts on a B. Then, the 4th part would be: B C# E F# E. It made it easier to sing when I started thinking of it that way rather than repeating the C#
Great lesson! Thank you very very much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
I actually tried to board a moving train. It was scary and funny at the same time 😂
Heyyyy! You know the feeling!!
Absolutely perfect
Thank you, Gaza!
Oh what fun! Camille, I'm 62 and only just finding a little confidence to try to sing after a lifetime of sheer phobia. I love Irish songs but I get the melismas all wrong and just sound so English (I am English) and stilted. After finding your videos today I stand more of a chance of understanding them but if you like Irish songs it would be wonderful if you could break down some of those very special vocal effects for a video. Honestly, I have had so much fun practicing runs with you and it has certainly added to my slowly growing confidence. Thank you so much!
I love effortless you do the runs too hahaha
Thanks for the help!
Happy to help, Ismael!
Most helpful channel I've found so far! I'm an Indian singer and wanted to learn to do runs and this was super easy to learn from. Keep it up! :)
Thank you, Neha! Glad this helped you!
Camille, I really like your clam serene way of doing it! I am trying to learn......Sending love from Bangladesh!!

Planning on it! :)
Hi Camille, thank you so much for these video lessons!!
I really do enjoy your explanation and also the breakdown of riff and run.
I was wondering if you could teach us more on how to make our own riff and run
when we want to improvise certain parts of a song that initially don't have riff and run?
It’s my pleasure!
Absolutely, that’s a great idea. Adding it to my list of topics to cover!
Hi I am a new subscriber. You have two great talents, the ability to sing and the ability to teach. Thanks
Thank you, Sonia! I appreciate that!
YOU ARE SO AMAZING, THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO. IAM FROM DRC

It's really helpful.... thx a lot!
Happy to help, Alida!
Thanks a lot
I have searched for this kind of video....you have no idea, this is pergect for a beginner because it's precise and methodical. I would like to see more difficult and complex runs.♥️
Planning on it! Thank you for your feedback!
Thanks love 😘
Happy to help!
Great . Thanks a lot its just what i need it. :)
Glad to hear it! :)
You are too inspirational
thank you so much!!!! :,)
,
Thank you 💕
You are absolutely wonderful 😚😊😚😚. I really like your voice and your technic
Thank you so very much 🤝❤️😍🌹🌹🌹🌹
You're so welcome!
That was very helpful, thank you! Is there a video for daily exercises that can keep your voice in shape? I sometimes notice that when I do singing warm up, it doesn't work that good. I have to sing at least to songs to actually free my voice fully. I guess it's hard to find the perfect warm up
My pleasure! I hope to record some warmup videos in the near future - but I do like Aussie vocal coach's warmups (here on TH-cam)!
@@CamillevanNiekerkMusic thank you!
Lovely
Perfect good for you you should be a lot more popular
Tennessee whiskey infamous run!!
Thank youuu😍
Happy to help, Sandie!
Nice 👍
Hi Camille! Love your videos! I was trying to break down the Tenesse Whiskey run myself before I came across your video. Listening to it on half speed, it sounds like the C# doesn't repeat, but dips down to a B, then back to a C#, before continuing on with the run. I listened to it at half speed. My apologies if I'm mistaken.
That makes sense, and I think you're right! That dip to the B allows the second C# to be heard (since without it, a repeated C# would just sound like the C# being held for longer). Thank you for pointing that out!
this is amazing!! i miss singing lessons so muchh but because of covid i cant go anymore 😭😭 so this feels amazing, i do have a request tho (if u can reach) could u please do a breakdown for the doll’s song? i would love to hear u breakdown how to do the runs stacato style 🤍🤍
Happy to help! Haven't heard that, but I'll listen!
the best content so far, but I need a copy of many types of scales with riff exercises please give us
I likw your video(s). I'm an electronic rock musician and have been wanting to spice up my vocals a touch, but not to this extent as I don't think it fits the genre. Anyhow, if you feel like doing one for rock singers I certainly would appreciate it as I think others would too! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful voice, talent and knowledge. Can you please break down riffs on SOMETHING IS GOT A HOLD ON ME by Christina Aguilera?
Thank you so much.. please create more run ,riff tutorial. ❤️🥰
Planning on it! :)
@@CamillevanNiekerkMusic you are so cute and calm 🥰
