Joy, thank you so very much for recommending the Zen documentary about Alok & Raylene. It was calming, inspiring & just a great reminder of us just being in the moment. I will be painting with my inks & Chinese brushes again & just letting what will be BE. 🤗🌈

Absolutely wonderful! Thank you, this is what painting (or any artistic pursuit) should involve I think. I wonder if there is a Part 2 out yet, Joy?
Many thanks I'm so pleased you enjoyed it 😊 it's a great way to get in the flow. Part 2, is on my channel Zen in colour 🖌️🎨😊
Hello Lori! I truly enjoyed watching you and will be soon trying the same techniques. The struggle I have when painting once I get that design down and some color, is composition. When I free wheel it, it looks like it's spontaneous and energetic, but I sometimes think I need more composition, or I need to find a way to make the abstraction much more sophisticated. Any thoughts? Thanks, Denise
Hi Denise thanks for your comment and question. It does take a while to understand composition principles and it's a question many students ask, so you're not alone. As it's such a big subject I created a specific course to help and dimistify the process and explain in detail how it works. If you'd like to take the class it's available on my website. Joyfaheyartist.com. I cover The focal points, colour values, contrasts of colours, shapes and their differences. I'm sure it will clarify and help you feel happy and satisfied with your paintings. Enjoy 🖌️🎨😊
