thank you for this tutorial. short and sweet.
Fantastic! I just picked this up today to use on acetate. Big thumbs up!
Nice video! You didn’t ramble on & got right to teaching. You were clear on the instructions of how to use this product. I really appreciate you taking your valuable time to teach us.♥️ I’m going to subscribe
Is the Opaque ink something that you need to add into the pad every time you use it? I'd put some on the pad a few months ago but when I went to use it today, it seems to have dried up?
The ink won't dry up immediately, but after several months even a new pad stored in a cool dark drawer will dry out. In my experience most will start to dry substantially after a few weeks.
This seems a little fussy to me. What's the advantage of this over a good quality white ink stamp pad? I know some of these aren't very good, but there are a few that put down a good amount of white ink?
ArtemisToo StazOn is an opaque permanent ink. It is great for stamping on acetate, wood, metal, plastic, etc. Any other ink would wipe off such non-porous surfaces right away. Basically StazOn = stays on
I understand the properties of StazOn and have used their inks for years. In this video, however, you are stamping on paper, which is a porous surface on which any pigment ink would work. Unless you are actually stamping on glass, acetate, metal, plastic, etc., you do not need the characteristics of the ink in the StazOn Opaque Ink Pad, with its fussy need to be recharged and spread each time you use it. That's what I meant.
ArtemisToo I was JUST thinking the exact same thing!!
Maybe they're waxed paper bags, in which case they are not porous. But the video is about using the stazon opaque ink, regardless of the craft.
Will this ink stamp on fabric
Yes, although depending on how porous and loosely woven the fabric is the stamped image may come out a bit fuzzy. Some porous natural fabrics like cotton will absorb the ink so quickly that the edges of the image can bleed.
