I sold my 390 last week. Best decision I ever made lol. Loving my new bike s1000rr. Had the 390 for 4 years a little too long. Trust me get a 1000 and you will never look back. I wouldn't recommend new riders get a 1000 straight away. Start small.
Thanks for all the information Oggyf. I own a bs4 rc390 and I adore it. I also have a yamaha fz as a daily in city commuting bike. With reference to the last part of the clip regarding why you kept the bike for so many years and didn't upgrade makes sense. From my point of view, making the best out of a motorcycle is thousand times better than replacing it, which you taught in this video. Really informative video bro 👍👍
Completely agree. Too many people complain about build quality issues when they don't know basic maintenance steps. I'd rather learn and customize my motorcycle than keep upgrading and regretting.
Stucking to a bike for so many years show how he is practical and saves his hard earned money. Biking is just like an emotion means everyone should ride for the happiness...
5 years used to be nothing earlier. I know people who've owned the same motorcycle for decades and they still run well. Unnecessarily upgrading is a new trend that social media has started. Better to enjoy and learn than upgrade and regret.
That philosophical part made a lot of sense. It's great that you've spoken it out loud when all the world teaches is nothing but consumerism Lesson to learn for many.... Take care of things and they will last. Great video as always! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you glenn. Social media has suddenly turned into a rap video where everyone is flexing the money they earn and expensive things they've bought/borrowed. We're bring conditioned to want instead of appreciate.

I definitely can relate to it I'd started following a few youtubers including you after buying my first bike for suggestions and tips to improve my riding....and you're still in my subscription list...unlike the others simply because I could not relate to them anymore! Tc man! Hopefully it's possible to have meetups soon! Good day!👍👍
The simple and effective way to decide whether or not to upgrade from present motorcycle was damn good... Would have also been better to know about the tools that you use to make necessary adjustment to bike or tools that might come handy while going for a long ride would have been great....

I have my ktm rc390 2017 and it is a beautiful beautiful machine... And after 3 years i still don't regret buying it over duke or any other bike just for the comfort.. It is just like city bike for mr right now cuz of busy schedual but whenever i ride it just to get groceries or even just one day ride i admire it... And i haven't change anything, not even saree guard 🤦🏻♂️... but she still looks beautiful ❤️
Oggy, from everything I know about you, I think the street triple r is the best bike upgrade for you. It’s great value for money at its current price, very usable for your use cases, and it’s build quality and refinement is stellar! Pillion comfort isint great but definitely on par or better than the rc. You would love the bike and probably keep it for a decade! Time to use that you tube money! 😉 Also something to consider, is that internal combustion engines days are numbered! So before they start to disappear we petrolheads need to make the most of them! Cheers! Ps: do go ride the street triple if you haven’t already.
Very professional review. Why was the engine rebuilt? I'm buying one tomorrow which has 16,000km 3 owners (seems like a lot) and hasn't had an oil change for 10,000km so I'm worried about how much damage these things can take. An old Yamaha can go years without an oil change and no damage. Do you think am Rc390 can handle 10,000km?
Honestly it depends on how the previous 3 owners maintained it. Unfortunately most people buy these, rip the hell out of them and then sell when issues start to surface (atleast in India) . I'd recommend you look for any signs of oil leaks, overheating ( low coolant / coolant mixing with engine oil) and inspect the fork seals too (usually a sign that the bike has spent time on one wheel) . My engine was rebuilt because there were issues with the valves that cause some other issues. Haven't had a problem since (now at 68k kms)
Can you please give the details of why the engine needed a rebuild. BTW I also own a duke 200 going to complete 5 years next month but it's done only 25k kms and I use it only for long rides and since last year didn't get much time to ride it
The rebuild is part of the service checklist. They opened it and checked if there was any abnormal wear and put it back together. From what I've heard, the block piston and head are usually what people face issues with but again, it depends on how you ride the motorcycle.

Sweet. If you ever get a chance. Throw in a R6 yamaha shock in the rear and tune it. Handling gets a lot better than what the stock shock can offer. Keep up the videos!
How does one go about procuring such a shock in India?
@@arjpillai import it from japan, or austrailia.
Keep Uploading videos like that. Your channel will gonna reach 1M soon.
Thank you Shivang. Just working on keeping the quality consistent.
Probably the purest motovlogger ive seen till now 🙌
Thank you :D
i just love how calm and composed you are, and another amazing video yet again keep it up..
Thank you Arsalan.
Though i don't have a motorcycle yet, but watching you taking care of Rage will surely help me in maintaining one when i get it.
I wish I knew half the things I know now when I got my first motorcycle. I'm sure your first bike experience will be better than mine :)
I sold my 390 last week. Best decision I ever made lol. Loving my new bike s1000rr.
Had the 390 for 4 years a little too long. Trust me get a 1000 and you will never look back.
I wouldn't recommend new riders get a 1000 straight away. Start small.
Nice ownership review. So by seeing your review I could improve my duke 390 parts so I could be used for longer duration. Love from Bangalore.
Thanks for all the information Oggyf.
I own a bs4 rc390 and I adore it. I also have a yamaha fz as a daily in city commuting bike. With reference to the last part of the clip regarding why you kept the bike for so many years and didn't upgrade makes sense. If I am entirely happy with my bike based on the expectations I bought it I think I can live with the bike for its own lifetime.
Right on! The yamaha fz was my first motorcycle. Would've kept it if I had the parking space. Lovely motorcycle too
@@OggyF FZ is just a very strong and reliable and do anything ho anywhere take any torture bike and low maintenance. It's a keeper. Thankfully I have space for both and I am not letting go of it as it's the first bike I bought for myself. The max I can do if I buy anything else in the future is to give my fz to my dad. :)
Thanks for responding to all the comments on your channel.
Correction. My rc is bs4 and not 6
100% agree that there's no need for an upgrade until you can make the most out of the current bike. Loved the vid!❤️
Thank you Aquib. Glad you liked it.
@@OggyF and that's how we can make our bike work a lot better than other upper segment bikes in a lot of ways ( first way being economically )
True defination of a biker.. feels sometimes like your speaking the language what some bike lover feels❤️
Thank you bro. That means a lot.
Stucking to a bike for so many years show how he is practical and saves his hard earned money.
Biking is just like an emotion means everyone should ride
for the happiness...
5 years used to be nothing earlier. I know people who've owned the same motorcycle for decades and they still run well. Unnecessarily upgrading is a new trend that social media has started. Better to enjoy and learn than upgrade and regret.
Yours reply means a lot for me...
😊😇🥰
It's so calming to watch you and hear you. Lots of love from chikamagaluru, Karnataka
Forza OGGY ❤️❤️ ❤️
Thank you Shashak. I just wish I could upload more frequently :). You guys always make my day better with these comments.
@@OggyF God bless ☺️
That philosophical part made a lot of sense. It's great that you've spoken it out loud when all the world teaches is nothing but consumerism
Lesson to learn for many....
Couldn't agree more.
Some in other comments also rightly pointed out that the other youtubers aren't relatable anymore.
I definitely can relate to it
I'd started following a few youtubers including you after buying my first bike for suggestions and tips to improve my riding....and you're still in my subscription list...unlike the others simply because I could not relate to them anymore!
Tc man! Hopefully it's possible to have meetups soon!
Good day!👍👍
The simple and effective way to decide whether or not to upgrade from present motorcycle was damn good...
Would have also been better to know about the tools that you use to make necessary adjustment to bike
or tools that might come handy while going for a long ride would have been great....
Thank you. I plan on making a "things you should pack when touring " video. Will try an include that there.
@@OggyF cool bro... Thanks s bunch...
Your straight in every point thats what i like oggy
Favourite motovlogger and rage is love ♥️
My reason to buy RC 390 was oggy f
Thank you Speedfreak47. I wish you two many happy miles together.
I was watching your video since very long.. I desperately wanted to buy Rc390 however my earning is not so good.. I want to travel pan India on RC390. Everyone is complaining about the RC but you gave detail review thanks buddy...👍👍 please keep up the good work and wish me luck 🤞 so that my financial situation gets better and will have the RC and live my life.. ✌️
Thank you for the continued support. Keep working towards your goal bro but also don't forget to be grateful for what you have already. I read a quote somewhere which said - We take for granted what someone is praying for. Enjoy what you have :) Ride safe.
@@OggyF thanks bro.. 😊😊
It will be Awesome video as always, commenting before watching 🙌❤️🔥
Thank you Vayu :)
Ohh the bloopers are hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Hahaha glad you liked it.
Damn, didn't know Oggy was gonna leave us with a life lesson. Great video as always 💯
It was either that or a blooper .....so I included both :)
You can go for a yss suspension. I think upgrading suspension is one of the best mods for a bike.
Yeah I've had my eyes on their suspension kits for a while. Let's see.
Excellent way of explaining how to maintain the bike, your the best Oggy!!
Thank you bro
hey oggy
new here
loved the video
Thank you Ankesh. Welcome to the channel 😊
From the days of r15 to long term review of RC 390.. 👍.
Time flies :)
Upgrade only when you óutgrown your motorcycle
- oggy F.
Over the time Oggy becoming naughty. 😝
Should've inserted a "that's what she said" meme there lol
I have my ktm rc390 2017 and it is a beautiful beautiful machine...
And after 3 years i still don't regret buying it over duke or any other bike just for the comfort.. It is just like city bike for mr right now cuz of busy schedual but whenever i ride it just to get groceries or even just one day ride i admire it... And i haven't change anything, not even saree guard 🤦🏻♂️... but she still looks beautiful ❤️
If it still makes you look back every time you've walked away after parking it, you've bought the right motorcycle :)
@@OggyF i look twice actually and i really want to park it beside my bed 😶
I also own a KTM duke 2013 model and still running strong. 😎
Awesome to hear.
Keep it going oggy, kudos to rage and u 👍🏼
Thank you Samir.
Had a chance to ride teh 675 and liked it. Will see if I can get my hands on the 765 sometime soon. Thank you
Oggy F and if you do get to ride it, would love a review! I think it's replaces the z900 as the new budget sports bike in India!
@Oggy F
A wholesome video and btw, Thanos was a nice touch 👏👏
Hahah glad someone got it. Thanks for the support.
Can you please give the details of why the engine needed a rebuild. BTW I also own a duke 200 going to complete 5 years next month but it's done only 25k kms and I use it only for long rides and since last year didn't get much time to ride it
It's usually part of the service checklist. They open it up to ensure that all parts are working fine and there's no unsual wear.
you said about engine rebuild. What was major problem in ktm engine during 64k kms sir ?
The rebuild is part of the service checklist. They opened it and checked if there was any abnormal wear and put it back together. From what I've heard, the block piston and head are usually what people face issues with but again, it depends on how you ride the motorcycle.
Rage is the one of the reason for hike in ktm sales in past few years ❤️
Maybe a very slight percentage TBH. KTM have done a great job with the features and the prices they've offered the motorcyles at.
A love affair more than a ownership review
It sure is. Thank you Deep.
Nice and honest review. and thought regarding BIKE concept is much clear .. specially that buying costly bike and keeping in parking only... :)
Thank you Nilesh. Glad you could connect with the content. Ride safe
Now this called a Pure Video on a Motorcycle from best Motovloger ❤️🔥who still loves to make content only on Bikes n rides ❤️not so called *LIFESTYLE* ..Awesome Video 🔥
Thank you Shubz. That means a lot coming from a fellow content creator. Ride safe buddy
This what exactly my RC would look like if I had some cash with me. Thank you for making this video OggyF❤️
Thank you bro. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. I've only made changes that I felt I needed for the rides I was going on. If you're happy the way it is, there's no need to change it.
@@OggyF the belly pan replacement is a must I think, I think all owners agree with this point.
this video helps a lot and specially genuine long term review for ktm
Thank you Abhit. Glad you found it useful
Talking about your 5 years old bike is not just a regular review but also kind of sharing your love story ❤️.
I can fairly relate your last point 12:02 coz I have been through the same now, 5 yrs || < 85K and counting more in the odo with my Avy 220 (Senorita-My love).
Anyway, overall again a killing review..oops! A love story actually 😊 Love you oggy bro!😊

That's Oggy F for you on why you don't need a Bigger Bike or an Upgrade. Oggy even I have the same bike since 4 years which I had bought because of you. Damn its been 6-7 years and I have been following you from my Engineering Days. Have to meet you again brother and tell you Part 2 of my progress story.
Thanks for the continued support. I'm screenshotting this comment and sharing with PillyP just to remind her ;)
@@OggyF big brother 🙏
What a lovely video. I dare say I'll subscribe.
Last bit just made worth of listening the whole time about bike and what made u keep the bike. Well said and to the point.
Have we out grown our bike to upgrade 👍👍👍
Glad you agree Jay. A lot of people need to improve their riding before crashing a bigger motorcycle.
@@OggyF Totally agree with u... will wait to see what and when u upgrade. God bless U . Ur content are awesome, keep up the good work buddy.
Hei, I saw you put a radiator guard on your bike. How is the impact to airflow and engine temperature. Been looking online and I think this one is a split opinion. Thank you. (Note: I am using Duke 250)
before i was serious as topic was going on .... but it all sums up in ending behind the scenes hahhahhaa great oggy bhai
I mean I've never liked the rc but i don't know why but i find Rage to be very cool and attractive!
Thank you.
Which bike will you upgrade to if you had money right now
(Bikes available in India only )
From everything I've had a chance to ride , the Adventure 390. From the one's I've not yet had a chance to ride, the CBR 650r

Fantastic review 👍
Such gud information with such calm voice.. Always love your content.. Fav biker without any doubt ❤️.
I have a question. I own 2018 Duke 390 and the tyres are almost gone.
Can I go for Apollo alpha H1 ? Is it gud for duke390? I mostly use my bike for city daily commuting and occasional rides.
Thanks you in advance. Much Love ❤️
Thank you Nitesh. I've been using the Alpha H1 for close to a year now (from the last monsoon) and have no regret switching over. Definitely recommended for the duke 390 too.

I have only done short rides(350+kms) with my Motorbike. Planning for long rides after Injecting the covid 19 vaccine :p
Btw
This video helped me to realise that my current ride is enough for me.
Thank you oggy f :)
Better to appreciate what you have that regret what you get. Good on you for realizing and sticking to what you like,.
From Red Torpedo to Rage....its been a long journey. Ride safe Oggy ! :)
It sure has...thank you for staying for the ride.
Bhai love ur content!! Its really so realistic. love to watch u all the day! 🤍🤍
Thank you Purab. That means a lot.
Wow Oggy ! That's ton of research time saved. Which ones of these Mods would be suitable for the Duke 200 2015 model 🤔
First upgrade I would suggest is the tank grips. They're the one thing that changed how I ride significantly.
